Well, if you really want Sophie, Slazenger, I'll take the lovely Eva Green instead!

Keep the landing pad open for when me and Ms. Munro arrive by helicopter. For once she'll be an "invited" guest. I'll also be escorting Kristina Wayborn, so keep a bottle of champagne in reserve. She may need refilling.

Daniela Bianchi will be my date...she's teaching me Italian ;% ; we've got the top down on the Volante, as it's a lovely night, and I'm very much looking forward to the vodka martinis to come. {[]

Forgive my ignorance, but will this mean an AJB thread devoted to this party or something? How will we add background music?
Either way - if its a party, I'm in! {[]
It's whatever you're playing while you're on line. It would be cool if everyone were listening to the same music, around the world, at more or less the same time...of course, this would almost have to be more of a multi-day festival, like... Bondi-Gras :007)

I'm going to have a bring a former Bond to the party, Tim Dalton. Seeing as Loeff's has already nabbed the Volante maybe we will have to arrive in a cello case!
Absolutely I don't mind! Wanna wear your kilt? Just kidding, how about black and I'll match the Aston?
Black tie it is! Kilt is too formal I think, would be a bit more relaxed in a dinner suit Plus it would be a lot easier getting in and out of such a low slung car Thought the colour would suit too!
um.....is it ok if i open up a virtual mini casino table at the party? i'll provide the virtual chips too. my partners for that night will be mie hama and jill st.john.

Loeff, you're a cunning linguist!
i'll be arriving via a big, in-your-face Union Jack parachute
save a martini or six for me!

They used several Volantes to shoot TLD, and so there's plenty to spare, Rose. I've heard the ride in a cello case is a bit...unsettling.
Perhaps the Cat could help plan what we should be playing while online on opening day. Left to my own devices, I'd put on a mix disc I've made of Bond tunes from all the pictures---mostly title themes, but also extras like '007' and Arnold's 'Company Car' from TLD.
That should be an interesting few days, as many (or hopefully most!) of us see the picture, and have things to say. The gun-check girl will be quite busy... :v

You know what guys? My XKE won't be BRG- I'll make it a black convertible... 1967 model.

Fair enough, but you can have the convertible if you like as I dont want to ruin my hair ) ( also, I quite fancy a go of those laser things that promote salt corrosion)
I'll be escorted by Felix Leiter (Jack Lord), we will arrive in the Rolls Royce Phantom III. Backless indeed...all weapons concealed. -{

All right...where shall we have the party? Of course, we're all in our own homes (or offices), peering at our computer screens and feverishly typing, but where in our minds should this party take place?
The Ice Palace seems a bit obvious; and too chilly for my taste. Perhaps Goldfinger's meeting room (minus the poison gas, naturally!), or Drax's estate...Scaramanga's Island seems nice, but driving our Astons there might be a problem...

Maybe we could really get into the spirit of CR and hold the party on the beach

My suggestion would be that we hold this festive event at Largo's estate, Loeff.
Of course I'd like all partygoers to keep in mind, not to get too drunk and have an uncontrollable impulse to jump into the pool...

Piz Gloria would have been my first choice as well, but as Blueman beat me to it, how about Fleming's Goldeneye estate as a fallback?
Wait, doesn't Naomi Campbell own that now? Tony, the lady beat up her own maid for goodness sake. Her maid!
Is it hardly worth the trouble? )

Ok, then I vote for the Whyte House penthouse; just grab a piton gun at the front desk.

ooohh! Can I take your part of foie gras then? I love it!
I am all for whatever place you choose, my fellow Bond lovers, but if I can express a preference, it's gotta be the beach! Or the Casino, with outside pool of course. -{

Welcome, All James Bond Fans!
If you've read the previous pages of this thread, you know the premise: This is a virtual cocktail party, thrown at some location from a Bond movie; my current favourite location is Piz Gloria, but perhaps Emilio Largo's Palmyra might be more comfortable... :007)
Most of us will be seeing Casino Royale in the next few hours---or days, as I type this (15 November 2006, 1826 hours, Central Daylight Time, USA)---and then, naturally, it's off to the Premiere Party to share opinions
For music, I have a 'Best of Bond' mix CD playing in the background; I fancy myself in attendance with Daniela Bianchi, circa 1963,* and we arrived in the Aston Martin Volante from TLD...
*My lovely and long-suffering wife doesn't mind, as she's currently dancing the tango with Sean Connery (circa 1983), on the dance floor...

I would tend to favor Sanchez's place (his house), but im for anything...
I would arrive in my BMW 750, casually request the chauffeur not to get pushed around to much, then link up With Caterina Murino and head on in. I figure I will then head on up and order myself a Roy and then play a few rounds of baccarat...

Thanks, I do really want to take her. The point of my original post was that I was going to kidnap her from you, but I guess I forgot to mention that!

Maybe Monique can bring a down payment on that round of beers for after Craig's 2nd film...
Shhh!!! I was hoping with this new keg bet you guys would forget about that!

Either that or the penthouse of the Whyte House. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and all that.
