Rogue I am going to tell you this one more time, you are really talented and I wouldn't just throw that compliment out there. Quite a blessing to have your skill.
You sounded angry at the beginning of your sentence Barry. "Rogue, I'm only going to tell you ONE MORE TIME, if you don't get me the money by sundown, you and your family will be dead!"

In light of the current events surrounding the Star Trek project, this is what I'd like to see and here...
No Shat-Man...only half a ST picture.
) ) Let it go man.
Seeing as it's the Shat-Man though, I think it should be more like "You. [dramatic pause] Suck."
Nice work as usual Rogue. I can think of a few Trekkie sites I know of that would really appreciate it.
It's not that simple to let go, Tony. )
I might not show the passion as much as you and Spec but the 60s series is a BIG DEAL to me. It's hard to replicate something like this.
I mean this guy is taking on a HUGE hurdle with this Star Trek thing and Shatner doesn't even have as much as a passing cameo? It's sacreligious not to do that. The kid playing Kirk is just...meh.
I want them to cast someone to play Finnegan, punch Kirk in the jaw and run down the hallway or something with the Irish tune playing in the background. Then, and maybe then, I will say that he's trying to tie in the old with the new. "Jimmy-Boy!" )
I might just seek out some of these Trekkie sites and post this. )
Thanks for the comp though.

Keep us up to date on the comic, I would be happy to support your work. I do get into comic stores every now and then.
Thanks again for the comps, Bar. I'll keep you up on the Image Comics deal (God-willing) and my own book too. If all goes well, I really want to make the Chicago con next August on this steam unless my fortunes swell even more that is.
Thank you.

My Marvel fanboy kid is back at it...
And to think that Spiderman 3 should've shook him back into coherence...
Anyway, I told him that I'd post this; he must've liked the cover alot to draw it.

Whoa! That is very impressive. And they say talent skips a generation. Make sure to pass along my and Spectreisland's complements to Rogue Jr. - the kid clearly can draw.

Thanks again, all. My son turned 10 a few months ago.
As far as talent sometimes skipping a generation, apparently my kid has inherited more of my abilities than I thought...
For the second year in a row, he's been chosen to take part in the spelling bee at his school out of 200 students yesterday. He'll have to battle 16 other kids there to move on to the district finals. He came in second place in the prelims last year against a really, really smart girl.
I used to win or place in these things all of the time as a child but he's spelling much, much bigger words than I did so he's already taken it up a notch... B-)
Whatever the outcome of it, we're very proud of him.

That's good, RA - in the future, you'll be sure that he's spelling everything right in his love letters!
man...when my school did spelling bees, they would never make us learn things in other languages...wow
Personally, I think that they push kids along too fast in school but it's the times we're in now. All of that reading to him before birth is paying off though.
It also helps not to talk "baby talk" when they are infants. I never did with him.

I loved that show. I remember the dance he did in your clip Rogue, wasn't it called the Bat-tusi or something? So funny.
That's right, 'Nique. It's a classic dance. B-)

My son wanted to get some of you Indy fans "pumped up" for the upcoming sequel next summer so he took the liberty of sketching this:
He's not a mondo fan of the character per se. He prefers Ford's Han Solo more but for a 10 year old, I really admire his discipline to get better with each piece he does.
Here's another pencilled page from Shylock...

Wow Rogue, Your son did a good shading job the jacket and hat on Indy there.
As for comic, It's really good. Love the shading.

Thank you both for the comps.
My son was a little worried that he wouldn't capture Indy's essence in the least. I told him that's the risk you take when drawing such iconic figures... B-)
He's really trying to get better with his shading to bring his pics out more.

Well I'm finally getting these puppies inked up. A good buddy of mine in Massachusetts is helping me out with the inks and we have a good chemistry as well because he's old school as well.
Hopefully my persistence to get this mag off right will pay off in the long run despite so many unreliables. Either way it's really a joy to put together.
Most of you have seen these particular pencilled pages but here are the inked versions before I have the word balloons and font effects added in Illustrator. I hope you like them; I feel that he's done a good job. B-) Scan failed to pick up everything but it's there....
As for those who have cameos in this issue, I've told him to take the features on very carefully not to lose your likenesses...

As you recall, this page was darkened after I did it so that it could be seen better to others. I used a very light pencil and catching any detail would've been difficult to others.
Here's the inked paged for this one; the embellisher tried to remain very faithful to the pencils, which I appreciate, and it might be a little hard to discern which is which. Some can though.
It'll be lettered next but since profanity is involved on alot of these, with all due respect, I won't be able to post those.
BTW, I went to school with the guy in the letter jacket and porn-tasche. He hasn't been able to let that early 80s look go last I saw him a couple of years ago back home. )
More to come with an AJB member cameo involved.

Thanks for your supports again, guys & gals... B-)
Sorry for any delays but the pages are coming in at a good pace.
Here's another inked page that my friend has done; he's trying to be careful with certain ones not to lose their features but they're coming. There are alot more done but the majority of the ones he's completed are sort of spoilers to the story...
A few more to come soon I promise.

And just in time for my birthday, I got this sketch in the mail. You'd probably be shocked who drew this and that's what makes this gift all the more special...

Nice stuff. Now who do I know that drives a Chrysler 300? Perhaps a certain, soccer-crazed sibling? Hmmmmm......
LOL. Thanks, man.
I loosely based that car's look on the 300 because my wife wants one but I forgot that one of you guys owned one too. Hmmmmm... eerie coincidence.
