Geez Rogue...al I can say is start selling it!!! That stuff is great. *Looks at Computer Art Class Nervously*
Thank you, 0064. Yes, I'd love to do this full time for what some artists in the field make. For now I'm just glad others get enjoyment from what I love doing.
I do assigments and commissions already outside of teaching my art classes and work of course.
BTW, Tony DP, I cannot wait to see you get Hal framed.
Here's a comic groupie holding one of my mags when I had to go to a book signing last month in Philly. Ahhh, the torture of matrimony... )
Only comic geeks would recognize her garb. :v

Is is, as we say in court, "on the docket". I've just been a little busy taking mom and dad to various doctors' appointments and such (it's murder when your parents don't speak english or drive) and that's sucked up most of my free time. But it is on my to do list for one of these weekends. Rest assured, as soon as I get it framed and matted I'll post some pics.

Sono spiacente per sentire cio', Tony. I do think it's admirable looking out for your parents like that.
I also think that it's cool to have parents directly from the old country. Awesome! Stare forte, l'amico.
Sorry if my Italian is very rusty. But I have my aunt-in-law to thank for making me take classes as a kid.

Wait..that's a groupie, or is it your wife Rogue? Cool costume.
*looks around for wife holding frying pan first*
Sorry, 'Nique...not my spouse. Just a nice willing groupie for Nightshooter and 0064 to drool over. Tony prefers Wonder Woman...
Although I might want to pick up one of these costumes for the missus.
He He He!!! There's a Calvin and Hobbes that your last line reminded me of...Calvin for show and tell describes his mom's super-hero outfit...nonetheless, there is a teacher to mmom note and when Calvin's dad finds the note he asks to see that outfit...you have to read it to appreciate it.
As a guy who literally has trouble drawing a good stick figure, I am very impressed. You should be proud of your work and your son's as well.

Thank you so much, Barry. Your compliments are greatly appreciated by us both. {[]
Being that my son is sort of a Marvel fanboy, I couldn't allow him to remain under my roof with his personal jabs at DC related material...such as Batman Begins Sucks! and anything in the Batman area stinking up the place as he put it. I had reached my limit... So I called his hand...
I found a stick outside and gave him a bedsheet to gather all of his clothes in and leave my house immediately if he couldn't respect the power of The Bat. Facing the unknown of a vicious, cruel world and the unbearable heat down here, mind you, he pleaded with me that he could change just in the doorway as I cocked my foot back to give him a proper sendoff...
I dropped my head and pointed to his art table and said, "Make ammends...now."
He hurried over and drew up this pic desperately seeking my approval so that he could continue to take up residence here... I was pleased. I even felt my vision becoming watery... This is the result of my tough love...
What?! I had to build up the intro somehow...
Hope you likes...

Thank you, Pierce! I'm trying to groom the next Alex Ross or Neal Adams but I think he's leaning more towards fireman.
But what kid at 8 doesn't aspire to be one? )

Me...I wanted to be a bus driver.
Nice representation of The Bat by Rogue Jr. The boy has some real chops. I just hope he never tells his old man that he liked Superman Returns or anything like that.
As for me, I wanted to be an astronaut (especially after seeing Captain Kirk score with a different alien babe each week). Sometimes, I think my wish came partially true because some of the people I work with MUST be from outer space.
One of the funniest "what do you want to be..." stories I ever heard was on a TV show (I'll remember this one to my grave):
- "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
- "A werewolf"

Well, I've always liked drawing comics as a kid but I wanted to be a cop. ;%
Okay, guys...don't laugh hard. But here is one of my comics that I designed in junior high? I think either seventh or eighth grade but I do remember drawing this book during the Christmas holiday at my grandmother's.
I was going to ask someone to take me into the city so I could make a proposal to Marvel Comics when it was on Madison Ave at the time.
I guess it was too much of a hassle to come across the bridge into Manhattan for my folks. )

Here's another I did in junior high. I remember being on the cusp of discovering girls in a big way. Don't split a side too much on my dialogue. )
[ PICTURE OF ULTRAMAN ]
I used to be a big Ultraman fan when I was a little tyke, I watched the show religiously. Rogue's artwork inspired me to go out and buy the newly released DVD set of the original series.
Alas, the shows are nowhere near as good as I remember them. The FX would make Ed Wood cringe and it turns out the mighty Ultraman is just a second rate wrestler in a red and silver suit with a big zipper running down his back. The rubber monsters aren't all that scary anymore either. I guess you can't go home again after all.

I strongly believe that there's something out there that we both still hold great awe for, Tony.
Even I remember the fakeness from Ultraman when it was in syndication during my kid years. )
I must have been 6 or 7 years old the last time I'd seen Ultraman. I knew it wouldn't hold up but I was expecting at least Godzilla / TOHO quality. Alas, it was way cheesier than even that.
There are still many things I hold in great awe. A few of them are...
- the Xbox360
- my Iron Man statue
- Lynda Carter
- a certain Green Lantern sketch somebody did for me recently.
...to name but a few.

Here's the colored version of the Bats pinup. Digitally of course by a buddy in Virginia...
Not a big fan of the new way comic coloring goes but one has to roll with the times. Am I the only one who misses those little flesh tone dots when these were printed with screens?
