Nice artwork there Rogue (as usual), but why didn't you make time for Comic Con? I would imagine that would have been a great venue to get your name out there ( and you could have bagged one of those Star Trek posters for me ).
BTW, there's extensive Comic Con coverage on G4.

Thanks, Tony.
As far as going to CC...that covention is one of the more costly ones and with the weak dollar as it is, it couldn't be fit into my plans. Had alot of things to pay for around here anyway...like repairs to my wife's car.
Besides, I stand a better chance of affording a hotel room in Midtown Manhattan than I could one during convention weekend in the San Diego metropolitan area. I have heard some of my friends in the past were out of anywhere from 1000- 1500 dollars a day on hotel rooms not including fare to get out there. Then some of them ask me for twenty bucks until payday? Insane. I'd rather that not be me.
Isn't that some sort of price-gouging? ?:)
Don't know about you but I have to budget a little more in the family sense. My bachelor's way of spending was thrown out of the window long ago. )
Many have told me that CC is more Hollywood than fanboy nowadays?
I'll get there eventually so it's not the end of the world.
Me and the kid are watching G4 now. He wanted to see Wolverine footage. )

My son has been in awe of the new WATCHMEN movie trailer (he thinks that Snyder's films are visual eye candy anyway) and decided to draw his favorite of the lot. He just thinks that Rorschach looks cool and outside of Dr. Manhattan and The Comedian, he just can't take the other costumes seriously at all. )
Here the sketch that he did the other night & he hopes that you like it.

Nice stuff ( even though the second one really doesn't look like Halle Berry's outfit ); do I detect a little Bruce Timm influence in Catwoman? Maybe around the mouth?

I think you've been influenced by that new animated Batman show coming out - your Bats reminds me of it.
And your Catwoman looks like BTAS Harley wearing a Catwoman suit (because of the smile).
Very cool.

) Thank you, guys. I'm sure that Tony can explain something computer-wise as effortlessly as I call some of the pics I do "doodles". )
Yes, I am a Timm-bot and proud of it. The man is only responsible for creating one of the greatest cartoon series of the twentieth century. ;%
However, Timm redesigned Catwoman not only with dark, wide lips, but also very albino in '97. I don't know why I've always liked that. Alot of fans don't care for the then new, angular approach; I loved it. B-)
Darwyn Cooke gives Catwoman dark lips too.
And, Night, you're partly right. I am excited for the new series coming out but my influences rise more from the old cartoon Tony and I used to watch as kids.
In grade school, I always used to draw Batman more in this fashion until he went all dark and brooding in the later years.

Here's a page that I casually pencilled from a Batman script last week or so. I'll probably try another approach with it again but I'll get this one inked first...maybe even colored.
In any regard, this one was fun to do and at the same time,I was compelled to rip it up. Odd little quirk of mine sometimes. ;%

Quite alot of potential there and he isn't even 11 yet. B-)

{[] That is really amazing. It looks like your son is challenging you for the title of number 1 artist in the family Rogue. :v
"He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

Exactly. ) Although I'm not convinced that your son truly meant the comment about TDK putting the Spider-Man films to shame. :v

If it's any consolation to you, Dan, my son has since snapped back to his usual Marvel fanboy coherence.
Although he was very moved by the awesomeness of TDK and seriously almost converted, your Spider-Man films will most certainly have to raise the bar in order to keep the franchise going.
I guess that's French for upping the ante on the crying and musical scenes. :v

Here's my idea for the next Spiderman movie: a new villain called Lacrimo, who's special ability is to control his victims' tear ducts. With a single stare, he can either turn you into a sobbing, wimpering husk or alternately block your tear ducts from producing moisture, bringing on massive eyestrain.
We'll call it Spiderman IV: Cry Another Day
Rogue, I think you should get to work on a few comic panels, especially the tragic scene where Lacrimo makes Aunt May cry herself to death tearlessly. :v
