Nice. I may just pick that one up and hang it in my office (that should throw everyone for a loop).
BTW, I was messing around with my PS3 the other night and lo and behold Sony had the Iron Man teaser trailer in 1080p widescreen hi-def. I downloaded it and the level of detail in those CG shots at the end is amazing. As Iron Man flies by the camera, you can make out the rivets in his armor.
IGN's Xbox 360 site has an interview with the developers of the Iron Man videogame that will debut around the same time as the movie. The interview includes several nice high-res photos of IM's armor from the game - which is identical to what he wears in the movie. Here's a link to the article; click on the images to see larger versions.

Thanks for posting, Tony! This might just be the game that finally gets me into a 360...

For those interested, the international trailer for this film was released online. I'm not sure for how long seeing that I first saw it last night. Little changes, nothing much. B-)
Screenrant.com has a new pic of the Mk III armor. you can click the pic for a much larger, hi-res version. The image looks almost like CGI to me rather than a live shot but either way it looks great you can really make out a lot of detail.
BTW: finally got around to watching the Iron Man animated film that was recently released. It fell a little short of the mark in my eyes. I'm feeling that the live-action film is going to surpass it by far.

Thanks for the link Darenhat; those wallpapers are just the thing for sprucing up my boring computer at work.
I picked up the animated Iron Man movie when it debuted earlier this year; I agree that it was a little on the weak side. The highlights for me were the 4 or 5 sequences were the armors were in action. I thought the combination of hand-drawn animation and CG work was used to pretty good effect in those scenes.
Like you, I'm really stoked for this movie as Iron Man was one of my favorite comics when I was a kid; hopefully they won't drop the ball.

Anyhow, Iron Man is shaping up to own the summer movies. :v
Hmmmm.... :v For all we know The Incredible Hulk might take the title of owning summer '08.
It's always the one that comes under the radar.
Gotta admit it's a nice shot and I'll probably end up seeing this one a couple of times or so...
Very diplomatic answer there Rogue; is my unbalanced mental state that obvious? )
Don't know about Hulk though; that one's really flying under the radar. They're really keeping a lid on releasing any info and I don't know if that's the best course of action. I know you have a soft spot for the big green freak but I think the battle of comic book dominance will come down to Bats and Shellhead.

I just hope to enjoy them all five or six times each.
) I thought so. What can I say, I grew up on this stuff. I want these movies to be good but when I see stuff I don't like, I start to spiral downwards. Rapidly.
While poking around online, I came across the international poster to Iron Man. Click on the pic for a larger version...
Also, there's a trailer with some footage from the Xbox 360 Iron Man videogame over at IGN. It looks really good and Shellhead's armor has some interesting abilities. Sounds like the cast has also done voiceover work for the game (or the trailer incorporates lines from the movie). Here's a link but be warned that IGN's videos can take a looooong time to load up.

Why do all of the international posters for blockbusters like this always look cooler? Well, to me. I never understood that...
I'd like to get one of those for my little studio. B-)
Actually, all of the promo art for IM has been very cool so far, even that one sheet of the helmet. I think it helps that they designed a really good looking armor for Stark to wear - it looks good from just about any angle.

Not really a big fan of the one sheet helmet shot. It's good but it's a little too simple looking for me.
The one you've posted looks much more dramatic and gives it more of an edge.
That's what would get me psyched about checking this out if I were to see this in a theatre lobby. I really love it. B-)

Very nice figure there Rogue; but ... umm ... that's kind of spoilerish, don't you think?
BTW, I was also reading over at IGN that the William Hurt, the Thunderbolt Ross character from the Hulk movie, will also be making a brief cameo appearance in Iron Man, thus tying the two franchises together even further in anticipation of the eventual Avengers movie even more closely.

Nah, hardly... IMO, I think that showing anything of IM merchandise can only hype the movie even more; we are just mere months away from the opening as it is. And following the Transformers box office success & this particular design, this will pump up more kids to see it even if they've never heard of Iron Man...and believe me, there are quite a few who haven't.
Besides, we've all seen that ugly Dark Knight figure months before there was even a trailer out. As homely as it is, I'm sticking by my guns on the film.
In any case, I don't think this display will hinder people's opinions on either film. Sorry if it ruined it for you though, man. Just excited I guess...

Well, since the cat's out of the proverbial bag ... nah, you didn't ruin it for me. I've known for months that IM squares off against the Iron Monger.
Although the figure looks cool, I've been staying away from plastic lately. Now if they release a good statue of the new Iron Man armor, I may spring for that.
It'll be interesting to see whether IM or Batman comes out on top this summer. For what it's worth, I still think that Nolan is going too dark on TDK for the masses; I see hints of what burton did with Batman Returns and while that won't bother me all that much, it may prevent the film from hitting a really wide audience. We'll have to see what happens.
I am curious to see this extended trailer that Loeffs mentioned. I probably won't be seeing Cloverfield (the "shakey-cam" went a little too overbard in the clips I saw) but it'll hopefully be up on the official site before too long.

Here's a new image to slobber over, guys. However, it looks very similiar to something Tony has already posted so if it's the same one, please pardon me.
I like this still... B-)

Very nice pic. Looking at that makes me realize the filmmakers probably made the right choice in using the newer armor. While I'm a fan of the classic gold and crimson 'sleek' design, it would have been impossible to pull off without constant CGI due to the lack of joints in the costume. This newer armor means a physical costume can be made that doesn't have to look flexible while still retaining a solid metal feel to it.

Cloverfield was an absolute scream...but the handheld certainly isn't for everyone---still, I hope you see it eventually (if it isn't spoilt for you beforehand, there's a delicious thrill of dread and horror at one particular point!).
The IM trailer was at least 2 1/2 or 3 minutes, with quite a few lines of dialogue from Downey as Stark...I really couldn't be more excited about that one B-)

Just saw the Superbowl ad for Iron Man which includes a lot of new footage. I can describe it in two words: POSITIVELY BADASS!!!!
Lots of effects in the trailer including a couple of shots of the Iron Monger, some shots of Stark's armor morphing, and a final shot of Iron Man dodging a rocket ... and taking out the tank that fired it with one of his own that is butt kickingly cool. Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark! Absolutely awesome!
UPDATE: The TV spot is up on the official site, which is completely redone, along with a bunch of new photos (including one of what looks a bit like the stealth armor perhaps?) over at www.ironmanmovie.com

Yeah, Tony I got home just in time to see it on the tube and it was good but not amazing...
I liked the new clips in this one but that last bit looked like the CGI was lifted from a cutscene off of an Xbox game. Just looked a little hacky and suspect. After looking at it again on the site, my eyes didn't deceive me; it just looks sort of intentionally fake to me. Cool sequence, just delivered oddly.
It was the only thing about it I felt was a letdown visually; everything else looked cool so I'm still anticipating this opening day.
