Very, very Bondian. Craig is 007. I can't wait to see the movie and in the future I hope to find a lot more images like this one.

A very cool image - I hope to see ones like this in the new Bond on Set book.

Nice pic indeed. Craig does look great. I'm starting to get really anxious to see the damn thing

Looks a little like Liam Neeson in that particular shot. Not a bad thing.

Isn't drinking way too much alcohol part of Bond's appeal? :D

Not a bad pic. But I wonder if it was taken in his trailer on the set? It looks like tight quarters he's in. I'm not complaining though.

The concept is okay, but the image is so-so -- Craig's looked better.

No cummerbund for Bond this time?

I'm pretty sure he is wearing braces, em.

Yes... cummerbunds don't actually hold your trousers up, you know. You're thinking of belts.
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
I realize that, what I meant was that I don't think people usually wear both. I could be wrong, I'm not an expert on evening wear.
  • emtiememtiem SurreyPosts: 5,948MI6 Agent
Yes sorry; fair enough- I think you're right.
  • emtiememtiem SurreyPosts: 5,948MI6 Agent
Actually, I'm a little puzzled as to why Bond needs braces- aren't his suits always tailormade? When I get suits made I always make sure the trousers fit perfectly so belts or braces aren't needed.

Perhaps it's off the peg in CR (Although it does appear to fit him perfectly). Is it a new style thing?
  • NightshooterNightshooter In bed with SolitairePosts: 2,917MI6 Agent
Now that is a great question. I assume it is custom made, too, Craig said it cost 10k, probably GBP, I doubt he would refer to it in USD. You can't spend that much money on something without it being custom made. I mean, you probably can, but I don't think Bond would.

Perhaps it has a certain kind of look that they are going for?

As a former Soldier, your best dress (No.1's, Mess Dress etc) is always bespoke tailor made down to your individual requirements, but as anyone who regularly wears evening or Military dress knows, you ALWAYS wear perfectly adjusted braces, so that when you stand up, your trousers always hang at the exact perfect length over the heel and toe-cap of your highly bulled shoe/boot.

Bond is a Military man. Military men wear braces.

A-ha! That makes sense; thank you! And Bond is of course doing a lot of sitting down in this suit...

I wouldn't be sitting down. I'd be running for the lift with the number to Vesper Lynd's room in my hand, demanding to have a go on her jubblies.

And I can assure you that neither my trousers, braces, shoes or undercrackers would be on for very long.

I can't WAIT to see this movie.

Nah, the appeal is that he drinks too much and yet it doesn't show except on his liver. :D

How can you be sure Bond isn't recovering from doing just that? :v

Is it 1974? Should we start saying Bristols as well?

Let's see, coming from a Yank, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure jubbilies and bristols mean breasts.. And undercrackers...well, that's pretty obvious. :)) I just don't know if they are partial to boxers or briefs over there. :)

    Jubblies are indeed breasts.

As are 'Shirt-Potatoes' 'Gazongas' 'Naughty Pillows' etc.

    I could go on...

    No, really... I could.... :p
