One month... where will you be?

As it's about 1 month today (varies for different countries) I thought it would be good to open a topic discussing your plans and if you plan to watch C. Royale the day it comes out? Will you be going to any premiere or just the local cinema?

For me, I will probably go to the Odeon in Southend with all mates and see it the day it comes out and then maybe again with my parents :)) Just think, one month from now we'll be discussing what we thought about it not what think it is going to be like... ;)

I imagine that I will watch it first with my dad on the day it opens. After that, and probably on the next day, I will attempt to organize a viewing with some friends. In fact I've been telling people for months to keep November 17th free!

Then, of course, a couple more viewings for good measure. :007)

I'll not get to see it until the 17th, :'( so I'll likely be going nuts with anticipation---and no doubt seeking feedback from those lucky enough to see the film one month from today! I guess then we'll see just how high my 'spoiler' threshhold is...or, whether or not I have one at all :D

It opens on a Friday here in the States, so I'll probably go see it after work or on Saturday -- unaccompanied, which is my favorite way to see a film I'm really interested in for the first time.

Well as it stands in a month I'll be mad with anticipation as it will be a bit over 6 hours before the movie premiers here. So I'll be sitting in my dorm I expect waiting for the midnight premier of CR.

Dunno if this is old news, but you can book tickets for it on the Odeon website.

They think it'll be a 12a, by the way.

I'll be going to the local cinema with a few friends to see the first showing, no matter what time it is!

Still trying to get that figured out actually, glad you asked. I'd like to see the midnight showing, but we'll have to see about the test schedule. I'm finding college makes it difficult to study ahead.

But yes, Luke will most likely be in a michigan theater opening night.
It's all right. It's quite all right, really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world.

I plan to make the very first showing of Casino Royale at my local cinema. It should be shown first at midnight on Friday morning. I will be going with my friend Bob, whom I strictly told to keep the day free. We are considering dressing up like all the star wars nerds do! :))

I will still have to go school on Friday. By the time the movie ends and I get home I will get only a few hours of sleep. Oh well, it'll be worth it! :007)

Midnight at the local plex. There's no other option. Then Friday after school, followed by Saturday night. After that third viewing I'll race over to EB Games and pick up my Nintendo Wii! What a weekend! :D

I will be arriving in London on Saturday November 11 (travelling from Melbourne, Australia).
On Tuesday 14th, I will be among the scores of fans cheering Daniel Craig down the red carpet at the Odeon Leceister Square.
And then on Thursday 16th, I will be in 007-Heaven at the same cinema, watching the new James Bond on the big screen!
And then finally back here in Melbourne on Thursday December 7, I will be watching CR with my twin brother and my girlfriend.
    Fun fun fun!!!

I'll be seeing it on the Saturday of the week that it is released by myself. I'll then probably see it again (if it's absolutely terrible I won't bother) with my father.

so is anybody going to show up in a tux swirling a martini?
I saw all three LoTR movies on opening night in Seattle and it was a crazy geeky scene, people were having swordfights in the lineup and there were lots of sexy elfmaidens

Think I'll leave it for a week before committing myself... had my fingers burned more often than not by recent Bonds...

That said, if it's at the Empire Leicester Square as well as the Odeon LS in London, then that's where I'll be heading, as the Empire is terrific.

Will get a gist from the reviews about CR before I wade in.

hey I been reading all the books in order in ritualistic preparation
Im a slow reader, I have to keep flipping back and forth to see how it all fits together,
so Im planning to finish Octopussy with exactly 7 seconds to go before the movie starts
and then I can save the world!

    At home!

    :)) :)) :)) That's the best line I've heard all day.

I'm in a quandry about this one. I have absolutely no desire to watch CR at all, not one bit. But my brother, Spectreisland, is trying to get me to go with him opening day. We've been to every Bond opening for the past 25 years and he wants to keep the streak going.

He even procured free movie passes so that technically we wouldn't be giving EON/SONY our money; he got them as a Christmas present last year and has been saving them ever since Craig was announced as Bond. The casting made him very bitter and he vowed not to spend a dime on this movie. Talk about long term planning.

So, do I stick to my principles or succumb to familial interests? What a moral dilemma.

I generally only see films, even ones that I absolutely adore, no more than twice at the cinemas in its first run. The reason being that I have a habbit, especially with my music, of playing my favourite songs over and over until I eventually tire of them. ;) So, in regards to CR and other films which I am very excited to seeing, I'll see it no more twice at the cinema in its first run, and then I will see it again at the cinemas in the future. I hope to be alive for at another 50/60 years so I will have plenty of time to see my favourite films at the cinema many more times. (A few examples are The Godfather, my favourite film, which I've seen just once at the cinemas thus far, and The Godfather Part 2, my second favourite film, which I've seen just twice at the cinemas thus far.)

I'm likely to see CR three times on the big screen; usually, two is my limit as well, but this one isn't usual. :007)

Once for myself and my beautiful, long-suffering wife...once with my two sons...once with a few select mates...and once with a few others.

    Okay, four times ;% B-)

I am due to visit my brother during the opening weekend. It's possible that we will watch Casino Royale on Friday 17th, but right now I think it's more likely to be Saturday 18th. Whether I see it more than once is open to debate.
