I'm suspicious of some of that casting; for one thing Anton Yelchin is playing Checkov in the new Star Trek movie so I doubt he'd be available for this.
Also, in light of the writers' strike whatever script they may have will have to be locked down - there can probably be no more tweaking unless the strike is resolved.
I've read that WB is supposed to have a formal casting announcement sometime this week, but if this is the real deal then all I can say is: what a bunch of nobodies! You'd think they would have at least gotten Brandon Routh aboard to have one recognizable name to anchor the cast.
If this is really what WB is laying on us then the JLA movie will be a quickie take the money and run job and that could spell DOOM for future DC comics adaptations.
AICN has posted up some pics and press release info from the forthcoming Justice League: New Frontier DVD movie. Looks like there will be lots of extras in the set and there's even BluRay and HD-DVD hi-def versions coming out (woo hoo!).
The images really adhere to the look of the comic and actually look like they came right out of the book. The show only clocks in at 75 minutes however so, like the recent Superman: Doomsday DVD, the story will most likely be greatly condensed and simplified.
Looks like the street date has been pushed up as well as the DVD is due to be released on February 26, 2008.

I cannot wait for this to come out. I'm a big Darwyn Cooke fan with the old school look. Good to see that his style has carried over to the animation.
Pushing up the date was a good move too since this is about as JLA as I'm going to get thus far.

I get more and more put off with this project. The Green Hornet deserves better handling than this and at the rate Rogen may be heading with it, he's going to make the Hornet's mythos laughable... X-(
He STILL looks nothing like Britt Reid! He's just too jiggly and just not right for the part.
Seth Rogen on The Green Hornet
Source: MTV November 28, 2007
MTV caught up with Seth Rogen and asked him about his planned adaptation of The Green Hornet comics at Sony. In the interview, he says "there's a more comedic version and less comedic version," and they're not sure what will be the right one yet. Here's a clip:
"Just a few weeks ago, [co-writer Evan Goldberg and I] laid out our outline for the movie to the studio, and before the phone call, Evan and I were like, 'This is not like any superhero movie — they might just hate that,' " Rogen recalled. " 'It's not using any of the normal superhero movie formats. It's not an origin story. It's more like a regular action movie.' [But] they really liked it and told us to go for it."

AICN is reporting that Megan Gale has signed to play Wonder Woman in the proposed JLA movie. Physically, she looks good. It remains to be seen if she can act.
I'm still not sure how this movie can get off the ground if they don't have a finished script given the ongoing writers strike. And I'm still waiting for some official confirmation of anything relating to this movie from WB.
Anyhow, here's the article along with a couple of pics:

Naarf!!! Get the WW costume out of mothballs quick
Yeah, I had read that she was pretty much a shoe-in a couple of weeks back. And I'm glad actually.
And no, Night...she does not have "butterface". 8-)
Are you pondering what I'm pondering? )
Yes, she is hot; nothing wrong with her face at all. ZORT! Somebody just needs to get a pic of her in the WW costume. POIT! Now all they need to do is sign Brandon Routh as Supes and get them a good script. TROZ! *
* This is what comes of watching one too many episodes of Pinky and the Brain.

Mork & Mindy? Bah! Truly a symbol of the decline of western civilization. The only episode I ever liked was the one with Raquel Welch as a space vixen who falls in love with Mork. Ms. Welch's ample ... talents ... were put to good use in that one.
Pinky and the Brain was a very clever cartoon; lots of subtle gags and references for adults and that's always a good thing.
BTW Rogue, your Batusi signature pic is killing me from laughing so hard. ) That one's been saved for future use.

I don't know about you guys but I'd like to see another one of these. I'm not a faithful reader to the comic but it was done decent enough. Not really sure why they shook it up like they did by casting Keanu Reeves.
Of course this time around Constantine should be blond and British...and wear a beige trenchcoat.
UPDATE: Francis Lawrence Would Do Constantine 2
Source: Ryan Rotten November 30, 2007
Director Francis Lawrence said today at the I Am Legend junket that he would love to helm a Constantine sequel. He said that the sequel will depend on them finding the right story.
In a one-on-one interview with ShockTillYouDrop.com, Lawrence added a follow-up could be a sequel or a prequel. "I like origin stories, that would be cool. What worked for me is the film came from the 'Dangerous Habits' storyline - he had cancer and he was dying. To me that was the core of the story. It's why the movie works for me, because the story couldn't be more personal. People have thrown concepts around [for a sequel] and I go 'Why does he give a f**k?' In the first film he's trying to save his own skin. Everything else, you can come up with these stories where he goes to different lands and fight the bad guys or witch doctors, but I think it all falls flat. Until someone comes up with a great idea, whether it's earlier [in his life] or later, we'll just have to see."
2005's Constantine, which starred Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton, Gavin Rossdale, Djimon Hounsou, Shia LaBeouf and Peter Stormare, earned $230.8 million worldwide.
Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo "Hellblazer" graphic novels, the film starred Reeves as John Constantine, who was born with the ability to recognize the half-breed angels and demons that walk the earth in human camouflage. Constantine was driven to take his own life to escape the tormenting clarity of his vision. But he failed.
Resuscitated against his will, he found himself cast back into the land of the living where he patrols the earthly border between heaven and hell, hoping in vain to earn his way to salvation by waging war on the earthbound minions of evil.

I quite enjoyed the first film. I'm curious though as to why Reeves won't be returning for the sequel. I thought he was very good.

Here's the ET clip showing Matthew Fox as Racer X in the upcoming Speed Racer movie:

Racer-X's car, the Shooting Star, looks like a dead ringer from the one in the cartoon. The costumes also look very faithful, right down to Speed's blue shirt and red bandana. I'll be curious to see how this translates into live action, but they've gotten my attention.
USA Today has some stills from the Speed Racer movie up online. Looks...interesting. The FX appear stylized and don't look particularly realistic but that's not necessarily a bad thing given the material. The characters appear hit and miss with some (like Pops) looking like their 4 color counter parts and others (like Spridel) not. The actor they got to play Chim Chim is a dead ringer for the original though. )
The shot of Speed and the other cars racing thru those columns looks very familiar; I think that was from one of the episodes, with another racer called Cabala, I think.
