I agree. I just picked up one from them and it's absolutely stunning. Fast shipment from Argentina as well.

Yes there were actually 3 types of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. rings. The first type was from FRWL and features a raised 4 tentacled octopus that appears to be a type of cut stone. The second was the 8 tentacled black octopus on mother of pearl that appeared in Tball and YOLT. Both of the aforementioned rings share the same distinctive 3 ring base. The last version appeared in DAF and was more of a signet type ring with a black engraved octopus on a gold base. All versions of the ring were worn by Blofeld. Only the mother of pearl was worn by Blofelds subordinates in Tball.

I may have an extra FRWL ring floating around that was made by a jeweller from gold plated sterling silver, but it won't be cheap.

I had a jeweller make one for me from a set of plans I drew-up. Ran about US$ 125 though that was a few years ago.

"Non-pearl" rings are available but nothing currently tops the Argentinian ring for price and appearance. I'm a little wary of their quality as I was somewhat disappointed in the their 12" figures. I've never actually seen any of their metal work though.

Keep trying; the one transaction I've had with him also required alot of eMail which he didn't initially respond to ... and that regarding an item he sold via eBay!

Although they don't ave any in stock at present, Costumebase sells third own version quite reasonably - might be worth an email:

Actually I do not agree with the mother of pearl assessment if you watch the Thunderball movie on Blu-ray you can clearly see that the ring reflects.
Mother-of-pearl would not reflect it would stay shiny and white all the time.
And the scene in the bathroom where Bond sees her ring by the sink. There's a close-up of the ring and that is clearly not mother-of-pearl.
Or in the scene before that were James is taken for a ride.
You also get a close-up of the ring and still no mother-of-pearl!
It is silver or brushed steel.

I believe that the notion that the ring should be mother-of-pearl started along time ago and has since become something that people see in their mind.
Rather then the real deal from the movie!
Just like the line "Play it again Sam" from Casablanca.
That line was never Said by Humphrey Bogart.
But if you ask people that will tell you.
yeah that's a line from Casablanca. Wrong!!!
This sometimes happens when people Instead of using their eyes uses their memory!
Let's focus here people watch Thunderball again if you don't believe me!
You left this with Ferrara, I believe

Either way, I still have not got a TB/YOLT SPECTRE ring. This has to be a far better one for FE to produce than the FRWL one. It is, in my humble opinion, the classiest of all the SPECTRE rings and I really want one. After the OHMSS wedding ring, of which I am the proud owner of one of Markus' gold ones, this has to be the most sought after ring of the series, please get a grip Barry and produce this one ;) Pretty please

The last I talked about this with Barry (which is some time ago) after the first ring, if it sold well, the other rings were to follow...
