no show on Parkinson

did any other sad person, like me, sit up watching Parkinson, (UK)awaiting a DC interview to find out he was a no show for some reason. Most disappointing. At the end they apologised and said he'd be on at a later date, but gave no other explanation.

I thought he was supposed to be on too - I've heard he's got a virus, don't know how true that is though. Isn't he on Jonathan Ross this Friday ?

In Australia we are so far behind, that were Craig to appear on Parkinson, I probably wouldn't see the episode until after Bond 22 gets completed. :s :D

I think its dubbed classic Parkinson down here.

Now, does anybody remember the show with Dame Judi, Dame Edna and Sharron Osbourne? Now that was classic!

Following from DC's Postponed appearnce on Parkinson:

    22:30 - 23:30

    Saturday, 2 December

Actor Daniel Craig drops in to talk about taking over the role of James Bond in the latest 007 adventure Casino Royale, and Robin Williams discusses his new film Happy Feet. Also guesting is Ben Elton, who lifts the lid on his novel Chart Throb, while singer-songwriter James Morrison provides the music

Not sure I like what he's wearing. Robin Williams is funny though.

It was...okay. Parky's very ordinary now, isn't it?

I've seen him wear stuff like that a lot, I have a feeling that he has a stylist sending him out like that. It is a classy kind of sexy but maybe either the tie or the jeans, but not together.

Robin Williams is totally manic - must be really hard to interview as he just wants to clown about.

I couldn't decide whether or not DC was just being polite or really enjoyed being on Parky but being called sexy by Robin Williams and getting lots of great comments about the film, his performance and the total non-rivalry regarding Happy Feet I think it was a great success :)

thought DC was quite fidgety ( as in not staying in the frame), but more confident than in pre CR interviews, as he is now wiser after the event.

Still think he looked quite uncomfortable and not very confident, especially compared to parkys other 2 guests.

Well Robin Williams has been acting like a maniac on talk shows since the 70's and Ben Elton has also been around since the early 80's, so they would look more pro.

What was he wearing? I watched this at a friend's, and we couldn't believe the suit jacket/jeans combination. And his waistcoat was darker than the jacket, and then a pastel tie - it was like a stylist had suggested a series of outfits from them, and in a fit of pique at being told what to wear he'd put on something from each of them. Mess.

He was the best guest on there though. At least he spoke like a relatively intelligent human being. Ben Elton was his usual odious self, and Robin Williams - have to say his wild and crazy schtick is getting very tired now. Just calm down and act like a grown up, man.

But Parky really is tripe now. See what ITV does for you?

I have to admit I thought he came across quite unintelligent. But yea Robin Williams went on for too long, don't know how he does all that.

I still thought he looked very nervous. I was hoping Parky, who used to be quite good at settling his guests, might have got him to relax a bit more. It was interesting that Parky was obviously aware at how uncomfortable DC is at being interviewed and referred to DC as a 'shy and private person'

DC looked good though and obviously enjoyed the humour of Ben Elton & Robin Williams

Amen to the comments about Ben Elton and Robin Williams, I can't imagine many fates worse than being stuck in a room with both of them - totally false and unentertaining. DC comes across as shy but likeable, considered and genuine and although not the best at being interviewed in terms of entertainment, those qualities far outweigh whatever BE and RW had to offer.

And Parky - he really needs to get a grip. Syncophantic and patronising, but maybe this is what it takes to get the stars on, no difficult questions. At least he didn't ask DC about the torture scene like everyone else has done!!

I thought that was one of the better Parky's.

And I think Ben Elton is far better on chat shows, more like his old self, than as a hack on rubbish West End musicals. Robin Williams very funny as usual, scathing about Bush and so on.

Craig okay, jacket and jeans combo reminded me of an Alan Davis choice on Room 101 some years ago...

Still, Craig did that witter on thing a bit, in contrast to his monosyllabic answers at the press conference... Not too smart of Parky to win him around by going to the audience, " Do YOU think he's ugly, or too short?!" in jokey, of course you don't manner...

On the subject of DC's clothing, my wife sat there drooling at the sight of his "muscles straining at his chest" !!! I told her that wasn't what I was watching for but by that time she seemed to be in a world of her own swooning over Daniel!

I used to think that I was the only Bond fan in my family.......not any more clearly!!

Daniel was charming and although nervous he came across very well I thought.

Boy Shocking you hit the nail on the head.

My wife has endured watching Bond films with me since we were dating. She used to watch because she knew how much I enjoyed them.

She still gets that "unh-hunh" look on her face when I mention the beach scene or the shower scene. I have no doubts as to who her favorite Bond is.

Since they don't show Parkinson here in the US, I wasn't able to catch this interview. The only thing I can find is a 1 minute clip from the official Parkinson website.

Anyone have a link to the Parkinson interview? If so, please PM and/or post here !

    Thanks:)

Not a great interview, thought he looked like he really didn't want to be there. He IS a fantastic Bond though which is all that matters ! :)

I found these on youtube. Unfortunately the first part only seems to run for about three of the six minutes. All of part 2 is there though.
