Found this ranking of Bond girls earlier today. They count down their 10 worst, and there's a link on the last one to their 10 best. It's fun, but frankly, people on this site are far more insightful.

HUH?

Karin Dor one of the worst? I think she was one of the only positives about that movie, why they didn't keep her longer was beyond me. I thought she was very sexy if they let her wear some nicer clothes but nooooo. I hardly thing Helga Brandt deserves a place in the 10 worst.

By the way, WHERE IS NATALYA? She rocked the house down and is IMO the best Bond girl that ever existed! Xenia's a villainess, Tiffany Case didn't deserve either Top 10 or Bottom 10, and Jinx sucked, so they shouldn't be there.

And by the way, just because you're first doesn't mean you're the best. Ursula Andress may be gorgeous but characterwise, Honey was a bore.

Egad. Tiffany Case? Where in the world are the two gals from Thunderball? Domino is obscenely hot, and Fiona Volpe may have been the sexiest and most cold-blooded femme fatale in the series.

I also agree with Karin Dor, one of the few bright spots in YOLT.

Otherwise, pretty good calls IMO.

As noted, fans are more insightful. These polls are most often responded to by general audiences who aren't going to remember some lesser actresses (i.e., Dor) but can recall St.John if only because she appeared in the inexplicably popular DAF.

Interesting polls. Rosa Klebb in the top ten best, that I have never seen before!

Polls are done by Entertainment Weekly, that says it all for me!

But Octopussy at number 10 worse, and my lovely Melina at number ten best...[sobs into hanky]

Jinx I suppose because she is a recent memory. But they missed out Solitaire and Tatiana Romanova...

I agree, in my opinion, they just went with what some people have said. I love Xenia Onatopp, but characterwise, Natalya is much more interesting while Xenia was just nutty and over-the-top.

I think it's a horrible list. Rosa Klebb as a Bond girl? Jinx as one of the best? I am definitely happy that I don't subscribe to EW. 8-)

It just goes to show that when compiling a list of Best Bond Girls, 10 isn't nearly enough.

For a moment there I didn't know what you meant. Yes, it is weird that she could be considered a Bond girl.

Just a couple quick comments, I agree with adding Lynn Holly Johnson and Tanya Roberts, but Carey Lowell is one of the best Bond girls in my opinion. In the best list I would have added Shirley Eaton, I know she wasn't on screen long, but everyone remembers her, and her gold painted figure is still identified with Bond.

Maud Adams, Lois Chiles, Karin Dor, Maryam d'Abo on the worst list?! Definitely disagree. I think they were spot on though to include Lynn Holly Johnson, Tanya Roberts, Denise Richards, and the overrated Carey Lowell. Her Pam's gorgeous to look at but the character does become a nagging pest. I'd dump her for Lupe Lamora in a second. How come Grace Jones didn't make it?

As for the 10 best: Ursula, Honor, Diana, and Barbara are all respectable choices. And I'm glad to see the underrated Jill St. John get some acclaim rather than criticism for a change. Halle Berry, Michelle Yeoh, and Famke Janssen are all overrated though. Like someone said above, where's Jane Seymour and the two amazing Thunderball ladies?

EW's Joshua Rich has bad eyesite, or a defective p****. Maud Adams, Lois Chiles, Karin Dor and Corinne Clery on the worst list! Jinx on the best list, and rated higher than Carole Bouquet! The man's mad. Mad.

Yes that bad list is pretty bad,

I dont understand why they have included Lois Chiles over some of the others. She IMO was one of those ones that you dont forget.

Exactly. Lois/Holly is the best American Bond girl IMHO. She never gets whiny and nagging like Pam, terrified of everything in sight like Stacy, "cutesy" like Bibi, "mannish" like May Day or full of lame one-lines("Yo mama!") like Jinx.
