Hands down should be Caterina Murino,a simply stunning women.
To bad she wasn't the main girl in CR.

Ahh ... finally it's here! The Bond girl for #22 thread is up! I remember the one for CR fondly.
Candidates from Playboy playmates to Ammanda Plummer were discussed. Fantastic!
Now some general thoughts about the issue: I think Bond can go in two directions ladies-wise. He can go for women who who remind him of Vesper or women who are clearly different. Both would make sense phsycologically. If he goes for different, black, blonde or redhead would be good. I think there is a misconseption that allmost all Bond girl are blond. We have to go back to 1987 to TLD and Kara to find a blond leading lady in a Bond film. We have to go all the way back to Tiffany Case in 1971's DAF to find a redhead! If you have seen the strange but facinating film "Perfume: the story of a murderer" you have been reminded that redheads can be quite a sight!
Black women then? Well, Hally Berry is only half black. I'm thinking of women with dark brown skin, full lips and figure. May Day was skinny and almost maskuline. Rosie in LALD was skinny too, and nervous and a bit stupid. Black women need to be better represented in Bond films!
Africa is a hot topic now. In films we see Blood Diamonds, Tears of the sun, The constant gardener, Hotel Rwanda and more. In reality we see Presidents Bush and Putin and Prime Minister Hu of China visiting the continent. Black women can of course play europeans or americans, but I think Africa is a good idea.
The indian subcontinent could also be used. In Sri Lanka they have exotic locales. They have a civil war, terrorists and very beautiful women, sometimes all rolled into one. Further to the north we have Kashmir. A stunningly beautiful mountain landscape that both India and Pakistan (both neuclear powers) claim for themselves.
Mumbay (Bombay) is full of very beautiful indian actresses and Indians are Bond fans, so Bond girl canidates should be easy to find. This could work!
I know alot of people would strongly oppose to my suggestion but I want brit actress Michelle Ryan to play a bond girl, i think she would have made a great Eva Green aswell :007)
For those of you who don't know who Michelle Ryan is, she is a British actress who has starred in the popular soap opera "Eastenders" where she played character "Zoe Slater", she also has a movie coming out named "I Want Candy" and has bagged the lead role (and beat a fair few famous actresses to it) in the upcoming remake of cult tv series "The Bionic Woman"
...I think I love her...:x
"What's that dear? You want to dance? Well I thought you'd never ask." and you know being Bond he wouldn't be able to resist the old, "Just leave her to sit there, she's dead tired."
Seriously now,
You know, a completely beautiful woman in CR who I don't think ever gets mentioned is the concierge at the hotel in Bermuda. Blonde hair, blue eyes and a wonderful smile -who is she? Does anybody know? She is every bit as beautiful as Caterna.
It is also correct that not all black women look have a full figure and full lips, but I think that type has been missing in Bond films. A very large portion of the world's women look like that. Not all (generalisation allert!) bond girls should be white brunettes!
Perhaps we should get on with suggesting individual women, regardless of race or creed? :007)
I think Michelle Ryan is a fine candidate whom i didn't know of before.
I think Bond girls should not be too well known to the average audiense member, at least in that genere.
Here is my first suggestion: she is famous, but outside her native country she is largly known as a supermodel: Laetitia Casta.
Have a look:
She has made a fine acting career in France lately, starring in major at least two TV-series and some films and not making a fool out of herself in the prosess. Actually she has done a good job acting. She hasn't done any action movies, but she is in great shape {[] and has a black belt in some martial art.
She speaks reasonably good, but accented, english. She would have to play a frenchwoman.
Listen to her speaking english (and by all means, oggle her while you listen") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i65ixhmsRyY

You can see she isn't just a supermodel who has a camoes in a couple of comedies or has starred in one film and then nothing (like Elle McPherson, Cindy Crawford etc) she is a supermodel turned actress. She has been in seven films, often playing a lead part. She has had the lead in two major TV series too. But only in France, so most audiences will see her as a fresh face in the cinema.
She also doesn't look like a supermodel. Her look is more like a film star in the 1950's.
She is 5,6 1/2" (169 cm) so she won't look too tall next to Craig. Laetitia is 29 years old, a good age next to Craig. Not a girl, but young.
BRITNEY SPEARS!!! ) ) ) ) )
In all seriousness, the character should determine the actress and not the actress determining the character, so as of right now I can't think of anyone for a BG in Bond 22
She showed some good acting in Showgirls and she is one of the most beautifull women in the world.
She was in Austin Powers, but I'm willing to forgive her that!
She is an obvious choise for singing the title song, perhaps written by Jay-Z?
This could work, remember how well it went last time they used the title song singer in a part in the movie )
Seriously she's brobably more likely to sing for Bond than being bedded by Bond, but is it worth a thought?
- she is hot! I browsed a woman's netforum the other day. One topic was "If you could have one fling with a celeb woman, who would it be?"
Angelina Jolie won, of course. Sara was a good number 2. Some men seem to like her rather a lot too...
- She is 27. Just then right age.
-She is just 5'3'' (160 cm) so Daniel Craig will look huge next to her!
- She is a direct decendant of the shah of Persia! She could play a hot middle eastern/arab girl.
-She is not too shy. She had her big break in "The L word".
Whenever I watch DAF I think to myself "wow, Tiffany doesnt hold a candle to Tracy and its a shame the first fling he has post Tracy is with her"
I have allready suggesting the Bond girl being a nun. Her is another suggestion, very different from the nun idea:
What about casting this woman: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001398/
in Bond 22?
I haven't seen any of her work (honest!!! but I read FHM magazine...)and I doubt she could play a lead, but a short scene (perhaps Bond and her in bed when the phone rings?) That would be outragous - having the world's biggest porn star in a Bond movie!
She is 33 years old, not too tall (5'6/168 cm) and unlike some of her collegues (whom I have never seen!!!) she doesn't look like a freak of plastic surgeons (she may have met one or two of them, but you know what I mean). She is actually a beautiful woman.
I was gonna suggest a Bond guy to shock the audience, but I dont think that I can top that one.
I hope that Bond22 will give us once again some world-class beauties who can also act. Impossible, you say? Not really. There are such actresses out there, people like Monica Bellucci and Jennifer Connelly (or, if the producers want to go with someone younger, Camilla Belle, a beautiful up-and-coming actress who has only been seen in some not-too-well-known movies, but is really quite talented).

Bond Girl Rumour #4

Carice Van Houten
Interesting news. Haven't seen 'Black Book' yet, but its director Paul Verhoeven, tends to cast stunning, but complicated, women in his Dutch films. I suspect like CR there won't be anybody cast until nearer the time, but I wouldn't object to Van Houten.
All I know is being a casting director for a Bond flick is about the best job on the planet...
