What a muppet. I hated it so much I had to see it twice! Can you imagine sitting behind this guy at the cinema? I was watching that and thinking, 'Is this guy mentally ill?' Still, if Jonathon Ross ever retires from Film 2006/7/8/ etc, I think we may have found his replacement!

When I saw this topic was back I was hoping it was to announce that our favorite Hate Craig site had finally closed shop. Darn. :#

Anyway, I watched the "official verdict" on CR. My, how eloquent is Zolly! "Look, everybody--I learned a new word! It rhymes with 'duck!'" And after all my years of studying and teaching argumentation I personally learned something new: that well-made plus well-written equals HORRIBLE! Lord, I've heard more sense coming from drunks harranguing me at the bus stop.

And, just to toss in an observation: notice how that site calls ANY negative opinion on CR "honest, open," and "refreshing," as if the hundreds of professional critics and thousands of Bond fans who like the movie are praising it only because the evil Barbara Broccoli is holding our families hostage and threatening to kill them?

i would join you but i like to visit there whenever i am in need of a good laugh. also i look forward to watching it dwindle and die as each successful craig bond is released. i know he is only mooted to star in 3 but hopefully he will do more. by then i feel CnB will be down to it's last half dozen or so morons still vainly railing against all things craig.

There is only half a dozen morons on that site as it is now. Don't be fooled by any large numbers they spout. It's all plain BS. Come Bond 23, it will just be that crazy bitch out on her own, when all 5 of her brainless comrades have deserted her for the freak of nature that she undoubtedly is.

I cant stress enough how much i hate this website and my recently discovered hatred for zolly brecker, of the "Zolly Brecker Show". I just dont understad why thy wont admit defeat, in the wrods of Zolly Brecker - IT SICKENS ME! LOL.
On the note of zolly brecker's casino royale review, did anyone cath the part where he was called bond a whiny bitch? Then moved on to say "When his wife tracy got shot, he didnt give a duck, he was just like yeah shes been ducking shot..." WHAT WAS HE HE DOING WHEN HE SAW THIS SCENE??? THE SCENE WHEN TRACY IS SHOT IS ONE OF THE MOS MEMORABLE SCENES IN BOND HISTORY IN MY EYES, THE FIRST TIME BOND HAS EVER CRIED!

...Calms down and gets back on topic. :s

He also says that Bond "doesn't ____ing care about anyone," and uses Bond's concern for possible victims of terrorism as evidence of Craig's whininess. If Bond doesn't care about anyone, why does he bother to save the world time after time? And haven't there been other times he's expressed shock and outrage over numbers of innocent being killed? Let's see. . .telling Orlov to his face that he doesn't "give a damn" how many people he'll kill when his bomb goes off. . .appealing to Pussy Galore by mentioning the numbers who'll die when Goldfinger releases his nerve gas. . .chiding Kananga for planning to hook thousands of people on his heroin. . . Yeah, there's a guy who just doesn't give a ____. 8-)

I loved the "life long bond fan" and never read the original Bond novel. Something of an oxymoron.

I really hate those people who claim to be die hard fans of the Bond universe who only know one element of the Bond universe. The novels are what started James Bond and if you have only watched the movies you are a fan of the movies, not of James Bond.

The idiot didnt say what was bad about it - such as plot problems or mistakes. What he offered were his opinions, and generalise that the einter world agreed. And what made them official?

I think you can be a Bond fan without having read the novels, but you shouldn't claim that CR isn't true to the book....

The whole site might seem to be a little more honest about it's goals if it'd just been called BringBackBrosnan or PierceIsStill007 rather than engage in the attempted character assassination of the actor who succeeded Brosnan.

Even if the James Bond character somehow managed to magically emerge from Ian Fleming's novels and EON signed him to recreate his adventures on the screen, that wouldn't please Kitn and her gang of morons. They'd all call for a boycott of his upcoming films and title the website:

    JamesBondisNotJamesBond.com.

I have not read the books. Because i'm not much of a book person. I have only ever read 2 books out of schooling. Bravo Two Zero and The Magic Faraway Tree I think are the only books I have fully read. Although I do plan on reading Fleming's Bond books. I still regard myself as a Bond fan though.

I agree, i have not read any bond novels but i am sill a bond fan, and this Zoll idiot should maybe do some more research to back his case, this guy really angers me. If you find the episode in quetion on the actualy YouTube site then you will see i ave left some rather scathing comments about it, some i agree are uncalled for but that guy drove me to it B-)

I think Number24's point wasn't that only readers of the novels can be Bond fans--he was simply calling attention to the absurdity of Zolly saying that the movie is faithful to the novel, which he hasn't read. So how would he know?

Oh, scottmu65, I had a look at the message board on YouTube. Man--I thought Zolly himself was pretty obscene, but a few of those suggestions are more than over the line. Is it necessary to sink to his level?

Actually, Hardyboy, I tried to make both points.
also, using this "review" shows yet again how desperate CnB has become. The best thing they can do now is to close the site and hope they will be forgotten soon. But they won't!

No, Hardyboy, Zolly is just plain funny !

That's one of the funniest things I've seen in ages - you can even hear the cameraman laugh, but Zolly holds himself together !

Not to defend the idiots on the site, but one can most certainly be a life long or die hard Bond fan and not have read the books. The films may be just one part, but so are the novels. (Yes, the novels started Bond, but they are still just one part.) Stating, implicitly or explicitly that 'the only true Bond fans are those who have read the novels' is complete nonsense. Again, I am not defending the people on this site, but I really hate people who act as if they know what makes and doesn't make a true Bond fan. 8-)

I don't know if you are victims or terrorism but is not the only one way to blackmail... i'm a CR fan not because Craig is a Super Saiyan Bond, not because he nailed the character, no because they made a hell of a movie, not for anything said in this topic or others, i'm a fan because my Sony Playstation 2 TM. works miraculously when i thought it was damaged.

I was a movie fan, then i read (luckily) all Fleming's books, but i can depreciate if you haven't (or won't or can't) read the books or see (even have) the movies... it gives you another point of view... yet you are a bond fan, you can accept changes, you can dislike some aspects but you aren't childish enough to ask a 53 plus Brosnan to make the first 00 assignment or a 55 plus Brosnan to make another movie, perhaps you're a Guinnes fan and want desperately Brosnan to break Moore's Records of more movies and more age doing them...

Hey, if that's right well, i'm gonna start a new website to bring Dalton another shoot in www.withagoodscipticanmakeitbetter.com but is hard, is more easy to make www.MoreBondMoore.com

P.S. i'm not offending anyone's opinions, well except maybe CnB

Actually, CnB makes a lot of sense. They have all the time pointed out that the positive reviews are only made because the producers are bribing the critics. Since about 95% of the reviews are positive, this must cost a lot of money. These bribes are the hidden cost of CR, and CnB knows CR isn't a sucess because they aren't close to covering the REAL costs of the movie!

or perhaps 95% of the reviews are good because it is actually one hell of an amazing movie, easily one of the best in the series....

I think CnB was making a lot of noise in the hopes that some of that money EON hands out to critics for positive reviews would come their way.

It appears the stratagem did not work. Too bad.:#

Nice one,:) though it wouldn't surprise me if CnB actually posted this on their website as a serious fan comment! If they are willing to use the damaged mind of Zolly Brecker to further their cause, then they'll do anything.
