SPECTRE

I thought the guy who killed LeChiffre was nailed on to be a member of SPECTRE. In an age of global terrorism it seems a good idea to bring back SPECTRE for the next movie.

I agree. SPECTRE would fit well with the times and be very nostalgic. Been waiting for the return of SPECTRE for a long time.
However, I'd say, I don't want them to bring back just any Blofeld. Remember the time when the character was truly frightening? The time when he was not only a mental but a PHYSICAL threat to anyone crossed his way, such as Bond. The time when he wasn't a whimsical "Dr. Evil" caricature, but a cold, teutonically cruel, deep-voiced character, shown only with his arms stroking a white cat (Yeah, I wouldn't mind the cat being brought back, lol, since it's just THAT signature of the character)
I love PLeasance as an actor but seriously, I think his being cast in YOLT brought about the beginning of Blofeld's decline. While Savalas made a step back in the right direction with his more "plain", but frankly much more imposing, dangerous Blofeld, I feel the character was killed and discredited by Gray's dressing up in drag in DAF.
Still, yeah, since it's a reboot, so maybe all the prejudices of the character can be killed, and since global terrorism is topical again, perhaps it really is time to bring back the character, at least, or actually, even PREFERABLY as a behind-the scenes threat, for 2008, god knows I'd love them if they did.

I would love to see SPECTRE return to the series, it would be good to see Bond up against an evil organisation again.
I don't think we've seen the end of Mr. White, though. It didn't show Bond killing him for a reason. Unlike the case in which he killed Mollaka when he was just supposed to bring him in, this time it's time to bring in the man for questioning.
It would make for a nice plot line if, in the course of being detained and questioned, White's boys busted him loose, and Bond is sent after him.
"Hmm . . . this part calls for a bald man. Hey! Get Patrick Stewart on the phone!"
OK, the part about Bush was a cheap joke (and very easy target), but the rest stands. Bush would of course be completely wrong because we need an evil GENIUS (this is much too easy).
