Craig a scientologist?

I heard a rumor on IMDb that the church of scientology confirmed Daniel Craig as a scientology priest. Could this be true? A source claimed that Craig was caught in a scientologist church in England and didn't comment when asked. I sure hope not. Curse you L. Ron Hubbard! Your brainwashing technology has elevated your cult to world domination! And to anyone who's a scientologist I take medication for a mood disorder, so does that make me an evil nutjob in your opinion?

But are we sure it's him? Daniel Craig is not the most unusual name in the world, and the other people on the list are not celebrities.
I'll chalk this up to a crock. I find it very hard to believe that a no-nonsense kind of guy like Craig would believe this crap.
But Craig has made very anti-Hollywood statements, often discussing how much he hates going there, etc..
I find this rumor extremely hard to believe.
"Does it look like I give a damn?"
Scientology stopeed being a way of life or even a religion, now it is a fashion (no offence intended), so probably someone who wants to bring (take) people over there, make that rumour with curious info. If in fact he is.. good for him.
I don't care if Craig is it, but i only hope that James Bond post CR became one... let him be what he is.
May I be so bold as to also suggest that being a brought up as a Liverpool lad in his teens he wouldn't be parting with his hard-earned to anyone
Well, I can't begin to count the number of people I've known whose public behavior runs counter to their professed religious beliefs. Mormons aren't supposed to drink coffee, yet I've known those who do just that; Jews should avoid pork products, yet I've known those who love ham. . .I could go on and on. As for scientology, I'm not sure how "conservative" a religion it is--again, it holds a LOT of appeal for celebrities (I would argue because a tenet of the faith is that you can become perfect in this life), and plenty of scientologist actors cuss like sailors in their movies.
I suppose this would make him 'half-monk' then. Craig's welcome to believe whatever he wants, but if he is on a 'path to reaching perfection' it would seem he has a long way to go. Maybe the tithes make up for it, though. I don't know how it works.

All the before mentioned actors or celebs are Americans..... Craig isn't... how many European actors and celebs are known to be members of the Scientology organisation? Not many.....
Just an observation!
Like many of you ppl, I don't believe he's a scientologist. He's far too sensible and independant for that.
First off, most of the entertainment celebrity $cientologists are pretty close to the whole Hollywood scene. Craig hates Hollywood, and seems to do most of his work in Europe.
Plus, there's not a whole lot of European celeb $cientologists anyway.
And if Craig was involved with them, I'm sure the 'church' and some of their more prominent members would have said something about it. They certainly aren't discreet about their beliefs.
So, I highly doubt Craig is involved with the Hubbard gang. Though I did find a few former Bond women that are, including Jill St. John from DAF and Barbara Carrera from NSNA.
