On the top of my list is Eva Green as Vesper in CR. No warmth what-so-ever to her character. Tanya Roberts is a close second.

Halle Berry has been mentioned often and I don't get it. I thought her character was fine and she is hot.

How people can differe completely. Personally I think Eva Green is quite nice. Especially when she comes down to the poker game and kisses Bond.

I would also say Halle Berry is horrible.

I find Halle Berry to be an attractive woman with an attractive personality when she is being herself in interviews etc.

In front of the camera as Jinx in DAD she is not nearly as attractive and her performance is pretty dire. To be fair though, some of her dialogue is simply appalling. Very few actresses alive could rise above that.

Yes, for me Jinx was one of the worst Bond girls ever. I didn't like the 'right on' attitude and dialogue either, or the press making out she was the first Bond girl to be his equal. I wonder if these people had ever seen a Bond film.

I've never been that fond of Ursula Andress either. What I don't like is being constantly told by programmes and polls that she is the sexiest Bond girl ever, and the amount of times they show that clip from Dr No these days, it loses even more appeal.

And yes, May Day is probably top of my list for 'unappealing Bond girls'. I actually liked the character and Grace Jones' performance- one of the best things about it imho- but she's not my cup of tea.

As for most appealing, it has always been Diana Rigg, Jane Seymour and Luciana Paluzzi for me.:p

    Cast Tanya Roberts as my vote - B R U T A L !!!!

Hale Berry was awful too. She did look nice in that orange and white bikini number, too bad that wasnt her only scene.
  • Scribe74Scribe74 San FranciscoPosts: 149MI6 Agent
Denise Richards was awful . . . her acting sucked, but she was easy on the eyes. Grace Jones, while I dug her character, was unappealing. Halle Berry looked great, but her character was annoying at times. Tanya Roberts was simply too whiney.

For most alluring, I've always had a thing for Barbara Bach . . .

    Rosie Carver, Mayday, Halle Berry...

I see a trend here, however unintentional it is.

    (Please read my biting sarcasm)

Oh, yes... Die Another Day was the film that pushed the public view of her "acting" career into the bowels of hell, leading her to bore audiences to death with X-Men 2 and 3, Gothika, and everyone's favorite - Catwoman...

It was Die Another Day that pushed it over the line, not her shallow performance in Swordfish, absolutely FLAT showing in the first X-Men film, not her mediocrity in Bulworth, not even what some thought was her best example of acting, which turned out not to be a clever parody but simply her natural ability on display... Yes, The Flintstones...

Halle Berry was terrible as Jinx. Im mean she is very beautiful in her looks but she as a secret agemt female James Bond was so fake. Im already known that is just a movie but get someone that is athletic enough to look believable. How good of the secret agent could Jinx be when she is not even coordinated to run in stride. She runs like a girl who always skipping P.E. classes. How could she even be close to James Bond if she is not even coordinated to run gracefully? She made the part on her looks and not her physical ability or her atheletical. She was terrible.no.gif Someone else mention that on this board, too!

Okay what Im basically said is that Halle Berry is a girly girl who would rather paint her nails than finish a obstacle course.

Bibi Dahl and May Day for me. They both got on my nerves....I couldn't stand bibi jumping around all of the time, while May Day was just....well, I cant really describe my feelings as I watched that scene as a 13 year old....

She certainly does, :x quite often...albeit not as 'Non appealing' ;)

For me, there really haven't been many of these, at all...but May Day is right there at the top of my list :o I prefer at least a hint of femininity :p

May Day's appeal (if she has any) is not in her beauty, that's for sure. But then, isn't the whole point of her character more to do with her physique and strength? Because she is more muscle and less attractive it makes it easier to believe in her as a henchwoman, does it not?

For me, the unappealing Bond girls are pretty much any of the helpless airheads who don't seem worth the trouble to protect or rescue from the bad guys:

    Tiffany Case
    Mary Goodnight
    Bibi Dahl
    Rosie Carver
    Stacey Sutton

Also, a non-airhead character played by an airhead actress:

    Christmas Jones

Overrated but not among the very worst Bond girls would be:

    1. Honey Rider. Great to look at but there's not much in that "simple primitive female" type that I find appealing.

    2. Pussy Galore. The opposite of the helpless airhead type to be sure yet rather icy overall.

My list pretty much encompasses the Brosnan Bonds:

Halle Berry -- Annoying, elf-like, cankled, can't run and probably shouldn't talk.

Rosamund Pike -- Cold fish, puffy faced/low browed, beady eyed, cheekboneless, no charisma.

Denise Richards -- Tiny head, bloated lipped, blank eyed, caterpillar browed, feather brained, nontalent.

Teri Hatcher -- Denise Richards with a slightly larger and more brick-like head. Same amount of talent -- an over-the-hill sorority girl.

    Famke Jannsen -- Dead looking.

Sophie Marceau -- Pointy-faced, squinty eyed, too much chin/not enough forehead.

Samantha Bond -- See "Rosamund Pike," but add smarmy and sexless.

The bird-faced psychiatrist seduced by Bond in the DB5 -- What were they thinking?

    But let us not forget:

Tanya Roberts -- A casting couch spectacular. Not a brain in her head. Not an ounce of talent in her body.

Grace Jones -- More of a man than Roger Moore.

Talisa Soto -- See Tanya Roberts.

Several spring to mind, most of which have already been mentioned.

Jynx. Watching her delivering her lines is about as comfortable as being shot. Doesn't really do it for me in the looks dept either.

Wai Lin. Just seemed too... aggressive. There just didn't seem to be a feminine side to her at all. Again, not much of a looker IMO.

May Day. Truly terrifying to look at and completely awful at acting (Please don't kill me Grace).

Octopussy. Only because I think she looked a bit old. Fine acting and looked good in TMWTGG, but she was pushing it a bit in that film.

Christmas Jones. Good looking, but Denise Richards as a nuclear physician? Please.

Goodnight. Ekland is a looker, but just her performance in TMWTGG would be more suitable in an American high school comedy. Totally unconvincing as a secret agent.

Stacey (AVTAK). Just seemed completely helpless and airheaded.

Grace Jones is out of the competition because of being a "non-Bond-girl" or being a non-Bond-"girl".

So, Terry Hatcher gets my first vote: The first time in cinema, I have been begging, that someone would put these clothes on again ;)

Tanya Roberts for her boring appearance, the same with Sophie Marceau.

And my third vote goes to Eva "Dracula" Green.

Kristina Wayborn gets an honorable mention.
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

the worst and most non apealing bond girl of them all is Jinx without a doubt ...

shes just a typical undercoverbother type of character... as much as that film is prettty funny but its not for Bond

personally i found every Bond girl in YOLT a complete let down very poor.

another few non apealing bond girls would have to be

    Jinx

    May day

    stacy sutton

mary goodnight ... andrea andress should have been the leading lady in TMWTGG

    tiffany case

    kara from TLD

both wai lin and paris carver from TND

    and of course jinx again

    Grace Jones.:s

    Rosamund Pike

Tanya Roberts(I liked her on That 70's show though)

    Halle Berry

scaramangasgoldengun... dude, Helga Brandt is bangin :p

Halle Berry IS hot, but definitely not in Die Another Day. Her performance was just atrocious, and she totally ruined all her dialogue by delivering it in a very sexually overt manner. It's not an innuendo or double entendre if you put all the emphasis on the implicit connotation.

Other non appealing bond girls: Izabella Scorupco (extremely hot, just not in Goldeneye), Michelle Yeoh, Carey Lowell (Pam Bouvier)

I found Kissy in YOLT insipid. Must agree with an early post about Pussy Galore and Tracey, neither very sexy imo, though the former has better scenes/banter etc.

I'm afraid political correctness took a hold and then it was all downhill. Not crazy about the Brosnan birds. Bibi the iceskater girl was awful but now is evocative of today's hard core porn flicks so gains some plus points.... :o :D

    Never got Miranda Frost's appeal.

Domino, Fiona Volpe and Solitaire were among three of the most appealing Bond girls!

Especially Jane Seymour, who today is still extremely attractive

In terms of non appealing Bond girls, I'd go with the female cast of YOLT and Britt Ekland in TMWTGG.

Close behind and, for me, the most overrated Bond girl, Ursula Andress.

I don't know why Bibi Dahl gets so many mentions. I don't even count her as a Bond girl since she doesn't actually have sex with Bond.
