Just want to mention that I went to see CR again tonight for the 3rd time and the cinema was closer to being full that on the Sunday after the release of the film and last Saturday too.
Anyone else been to see it in the last couple of days and still find the attendance good???
Also want to mention that it was a totally different experience watching it with a 95% adult audience without the kids talking all the way through it and not getting the jokes. Also had my first experience of someone wolf whistling a car tonight - and it wasn't the Mondeo

I'm sure the more fashionable, modern screens on the West side of town were much busier...still, I'd have been quite wrong to interpret a 50%-full house on Opening Day to be a harbinger of future box office $$$$
"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
It was a more mature audience though. And the older generation seemed to love the film, going on what I heard when I was leaving the theatre.
Not bad for mid week and a couple of weeks after opening.
Just about everyone I know has seen it, and on the whole, they have all been very positive, especially the women.

The third page has a real zinger.

Someone posted this: "some of you chicks are really horny "
I'd say: Some of you men are really boring...
Come on, it's true... why would we women fantasize about DC if the man at home was a drop dead gorgeous hunk? EXACTLY!
He (DC) IS rather sexy and has incredibly blue eyes (although they probably have been air brushed... or somthing)!!!!
When a film like CR goes to a single screen, that usually means there's been a big drop off, although the numbers may still be respectable. That hasn't happened yet.
We weren't at the nicest theater in Vegas but thats only because both of the casinos we were going to go to were sold out, for both times on Thanksgiving.
On opening Saturday I was visiting my brother and he took me to his local cinema complex where CR was showing on six screens. We watched the 2.15pm screening in a theatre with approx eight hundred seats. I'd say there were five hundred in attendance. When we came out I noticed that three of the evening screenings were sold out.
The second viewing was at my local cinema complex last Sunday. CR was showing on three screens. I wen't along with my parents to the 2.00pm screening in a theatre with approx five hundred seats. There was barely one hundred in attendance, which surprised me for that time of the day.
I think you may have a point there, not that size matters to me lol
I have just read the whole thread and laughed soooo hard at that post. Blueman, you will recall my first post on this forum, I am seriously considering joining CBn and re-posting it there
The amount of stick I have taken from friends and family about my affection for DC has been unreal but I don't care a bit. If he's doing it for me, he's clearly doing something rather extraordinary.
(Cue me trying to wangle a 4th visit to the cinema ;% )
The first two times I went there was a large proportion of kids and that was at the weekends when the audience as a whole was smaller in number. The attendance was better last night, perhaps the adults go in the week and the mithering kids get taken at the weekends ??
Now that you have mentioned kids. Surprisingly, I didn't notice any at all at my second viewing last Sunday afternoon. The mithering kids were elsewhere......not that I am complaining.
Dude, take your foot off that gas pedal, it can't be healthy...:o
