Sony VAIO 007 Bundle

Has anyone purchased the Sony James Bond bundle with laptop, camera, case, etc?

I am so tempted to get it. I know it's big bucks, but I want it badly.

Just curious to get feedback from anyone who has seen it or owns it.

Way too much money. Looks nice though. If I win the lottery maybe.

We had a discussion of Sony--primarily the VAIO--at work. The stuff is cool but do keep in mind it's technology; this is an instance where everything is going to begin depreciating immediately and that, unlike most Bond memorabilia, will likely never be worth more than the current asking price ... especially as inflated as it is. If you can really make use of the stuff, terrific. But it you do really need it, then it's also going to be hard to keep it in collectible condition. The package will be hundreds less in six months, a thousand or more less in a year.

But don't let me discourage you; those are just the arguments I used to talk myself out of it!

The Bond Experience

North East friend purchased the set and has fallen in love with it...mind you he needed this technology as it was so the Bond attachment sent his decision over the top. Upon receiving he realized the case can be reconfigured to hold different things so this added to his satisfaction. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE, with his package they sent him an entire Casino Sony bonus pack with lobby card-like posters, a Sony Casino DVD, sweatshirt etc.....he promised pics...grrrrr.

Thanks for the reply. I am jealous of your friend and the extra goodies that he got. Please share if you ever get to see any of the pics.

I dont think I can justify this purchase. I would get great use out of the technology, but it is a stretch for that $ amount.
