at the moment, I've got MY FRIEND JOHN by the Fratellis going non-stop on my itunes. It's stuck in my head. but I'm not complaining. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ah1k_Fmfkw
Funnily enough, ont he subject of The Proclaimers, I'm On My Way has followed me about recently, and did raise a giggle between me and a colleague on Wednesday afternoon when it came on Radio 2, just as we approached this on the M74 The Proclaimers - I'm On My Way
Just for the record, our day in English land wasn't really much of a misery
That video...it boggled my mind, to say the least. I'm still slightly confused...:o
I've got THE BOOK OF LOVE on at the moment...had to break down and buy the ENTIRE sodding soundtrack to Shall We Dance to get it, 'cause it's album exclusive on itunes...grr. But hey. Peter Gabriel is amazing.

my favorite song of theirs. It reminds me of some reeaally fun times in high school theatre. My troupe had a bit of an ABBA kick during production of THE BREAKFAST CLUB...we'd dance wildly before the show every night, and laugh at all the stares we got from early audience members who saw us through the windows...:D
Best of all, my kids now know the name of the song on the ubiquitous Amstel commercial ("Chelsea Dagger").
One of many lagers (though mainly Tennents here ) that you're likely to get covered in when this comes on in the pub late on a Saturday night, around the "dererup, dererup" bit
I don't know what's wrong with me. . .maybe I'm feeling my age and hence nostalgic for the '80s and high school and the stuff we listened to back in the day. Well, whatever, it's been in my head and I can't shake it. Rather than fight it, I'll indulge it. For those of you who remember, or who think it's a Save Ferris original, or who have never heard it before. . . well, come on!

Yesterday Radio2 - yes, I'm old ) - played a track from the new Keane album - music for frustrated, middle-aged housewives - BUT they redeemed themselves straight away with this classic from Kate Bush :x

Somewhere In My Heart by Aztec Camera. (Purely coincidence that they're Scottish, in fact rather ignorantly I didn't know until 2 years ago...)

Great lyrics to a great song -{
Roger Moore 1927-2017
Set the fire to the 3rd bar
"...And miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
and I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms"
with lyrics like this, no wonder I :x them....
I'm in love with Stellan Skarsgard :x

'Chasing cars'....it's rather apt at the moment!
Staying with Snow Patrol[/i] - perhaps their best track yet.... Take Back The City
Great lyrics too:-
"God knows you put your life in two at times
And it's both cradled you and crushed
But now it's your time to make demands"
"Tell me you never wanted more than this
And I will stop talking now
One perfect partner, one eternal kiss"

Someone told me to listen to this...the lyrics didn't make sence, until now
this medley reminds me greatly of the Renaissance Festival, and all the good memories from past seasons...:D
