I am sort of listening to the 1990s' Kicks album, I loved their debut Cookies and recommend it to anyone into three-piece 1960s feel pop like early Who in their Magic Bus, Kids are Alright phase. However though I'm going to see them next week in London (the 1990s, not the Who) the follow-up isn't as good. Bags of energy and friskiness but songs aren't as catchy, and when they are catchy more irritating really.

I've seen the 1990s live....they were pretty good...I'd not heard of them before that...they do have dome good tunes...enjoy the gig.
Susan Boyle singing 'I dreamed a dream' on Youtube as well as 'Cry Me A River' on the Guardian page.
"He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

Last night we were suddenly asked (long story) to play at a well-known Glasgow establishment, and faced a crowd of French people, Germans, Scots (obviously) plus some English sailors and their ladyfriends. Opening with "Wrecking Ball" we had a great night and wowed 'em. Now no. 12 in the Scottish folk charts, btw...

Hmmmmmmm. Just a quick question, who produced the new Green Day?
And I've been listening to Dave Matthews Band newest single Funny The Way It Is, from their upcoming album, produced by Rob Cavallo of Green Day.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

Butch Vig and Green Day itself (themselves?).
Thanks HB. Wasn't familar with the name so i Googled it. Looks like he has some credible work. Some Smashing Pumpkins and Garbage. Lot's of other stuff I'm not familiar with. Maybe I'll stream some of the music, then decide.

Not really a "song," but its the score for the ski chase scene in "For Your Eyes Only,"....
"A dry martini, in a deep champagne goblet. Three measures of Gordons, one of Vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until its ice cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?" - Ian Fleming's 'Casino Royale'
