Managed to catch up with watching Jools Holland with his Later... programme....he had the ever brilliant Editors on...they performed this stunning track from their new album.....Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool - catchy title, huh ?
I'm listening to the Dixie Chicks album 'Home.' Beautiful. :x I'm not a huge fan of country music, but the Dixie Chicks's music generally is more of a combination of country and pop, while this album has a bluegrass sound, which I love. The vocals are gorgeous; clearly sang with a wonderful voice (belonging to Natalie Maines), they are a delight to listen to. My one complaint is that she's a little repetitive in that she tends to sing many of the songs in a similar way. That said, I think it's a great album and I fully expect to buy more of their albums in the future.
"He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman
'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin. Brilliant vocals (among Plant's best), a blistering guitar solo, wonderful lyrics, terrific instrumentation; I've ignored this song in recent years due to its being so well known, however I listened to it a couple of times this week, and it truly is a masterpiece.

Heard this for the first time today and I love it. Jo Whiley said this girl is the one to look out for in the next 12 months, and I kinda agree Ella Goulding Under The Sheets
She's worth whatever chaos she brings to the table and you know it. ~ Mark Anthony
and I sort of bear that out recalling the Prince gig I attended.
Not to hijack this thread, but one of my favorite groups is traveling to the UK to tour early next year. I was looking at their schedule and they are playing at the 02 Arena in Dublin, IRL then the 02 Arena in Birmingham, UK. Is the 02 Arena a series of venues owned by the same people or is the same name just a coincidence?

'The O2' are a series of concert halls and arenas in cities throughout Europe. O2 being the former BT Wireless mobile communications division and now the trading name of Telefónica Europe.
You may recognise the daddy of the O2 Arenas:
Last song I was listening to was, appropriately this morning on the drive in, Waking Up by Elastica. 'Waking up and getting up has never been easy...'
It's just a brand name thing, in other words the other 02 Arenas won't be the same if that was your question. The former Millennium Dome M5 pictures wasn't designed for music hence the acoustics problem.

Ahhhh. Thanks. I was just curious. I have no intent of flying to the UK to see the band, just saw two different 02 Arenas and was intrigued.
Now, to get this back on topic. Been listening to U2 a lot lately. Various songs from the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby albums.

Two songs: Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon, which is the only song of theirs that I really like, and Geroge Michael's Freedom! '90, which is a great song with a fantastic video.

Hope, that the younger people here may also enjoy it.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
I'd be tempted, but the acoustics are held to be pretty bad there.

Have to give it to her, she's got a great pair of lungs on her (and yes, some would say a good pair of legs too )
So, you can't listen to what the man said...?

Great track - one of the few CD singles that I have - and the extended remix too
It is a great tune. Loved the tree video that went with it too... so sad, I love sad. Sad is the happy for deep people.
) ) - That is so true - but it's made me laugh out loud, thanks, I needed that!

I never clean my car between October and April, it's just a waste of time and very disheartening as it's just as dirty the next day...

I was going to clean the outside too, but it started raining, so I didn't bother.... however, it still needs it - it's more black than red!
