Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, by Cheap Trick B-)
A Christmas gift---Cheap Trick performs the entire album live, with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra -{ Really outstanding---available both as a CD or as a DVD (I have both ).
Highly recommended, naturally, for fans of either the Beatles or Trick...and since both bands are in my top five, I'm in rock and roll heaven...

I Ain't Hiding, by The Black Crowes B-)
Another Christmas gift, this one from Another Loeffelholz---the Crowes' latest release is a two-part album---Before the Frost... and ...Until the Freeze---recorded live in Levon Helm's (of The Band fame) log-cabin recording studio outside Woodstock, New York, in front of about three hundred fans...fantastic stuff. The Crowes now have their own small, independent recording label and complete artistic control. The result is a fantastic assortment of rootsy blues rock, disco (!) and ultra-retro bluegrass country. Clearly these guys are having a fantastic time, and it shows. My brother also got me Cabin Fever, an hour-long documentary DVD showing some tracks of the album being recorded.
Highly recommended.

I saw this via the 'red button' on the BBC last night. When it works it's fabulous...it just doesn't quite manage it all the way through...I like it and think it's a nice twist on the original.....it's Gary Numan & Little Boots with Are 'Friends' Electric ?
I am listening to a few Linkin Park songs. I have recently put them on my computer - they join Guns n Roses, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Metallica, and Iron Maiden.

Nice choice of music.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope
Thanks Mr Martini. I find Rock and Heavy Metal perfect background music.
Linkin Park is a fairly new discovery for me so don't know a lot of their stuff, but gradually finding it. People recommending things to me has helped avoid anything that may not be that good. I have loved Guns n Roses, Skid Row and Bon Jovi since they first started; although I have not heard G n R's new album yet. Liking those bands then led onto me hearing (and enjoying) some of Metallica's and Iron Maiden's songs.
went to see The Street Dogs play last night at little venue in Denver, and they played that song :x
'scuse my messy looks ). I was in the pit all night. the guy in the middle is Mike McColgan (front man for TSD) and the other guy is my buddy Ian...he braved the pit with me all night while my other friends fled to the back haha

This is a song I first heard a few months ago - live - just after she'd written it. It does remind me of a Kate Bush song - definately something she could have written and recorded. It's a beautiful song...it's Little Boots and Echoes
