No doubt, I heard numerous songs before this one. But this is the first song that registered in my memory. I was about five years old at the time. And I also remember it was a favourite of my dear later Mother. Surely, there has not been many better singing vocals than Scott Walker's.
Schubert's AVE MARIA sung by Helene Fischer......she is so talented and lovely.
"I don't know if the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or imbeciles who mean it."-Mark Twain
'Just because nobody complains doesn't mean all parachutes are perfect.'- Benny Hill (1924-1992)
Proof by I am Kloot. heard this song years ago, loved it. recently looked it up again, and recognized the actor in the video as Doctor Who's own Christopher Eccleston, which made me love the song even more.
Here is a beautiful song by blind Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. A song that I enjoyed very much at the time of it's release but subsequently let slip from my memory for the best part of a decade until I heard it again by chance.
I've always been a fan of Driftwood by Travis, but I'd never seen the video for it until today. Absolutely brilliant, not least the 'Where's this going then?' feel of the opening minute.
Undoubtedly, Kate Bush is one of the most talented female pop artists of the last thirty five years, if not the most talented. I was an admirer almost from the start. I say almost because I didn't (and don't) particularly like "Wuthering Heights". I absolutely adore "Breathing" and that is my Kate Bush song for today. If I was doing this yesterday or tomorrow, it could be "Hammer Horror" or "Sat in Your Lap" or "Hounds of Love" or......
Talk Talk are one of my favourite groups of all. Their albums 'It's My Life' and 'The Colour Of Spring' are full of great songs, any of which I could have chosen. The song they are probably best remembered for is......
This is a song that I didn't particularly take much notice of at the time of it's release or any time since until I came across it recently on a random search. I really like it now......better late than never.
I regard Ennio Morricone as something of a musical genius in the same manner as John Barry. Their music would often elevate a film (regardless of it's quality) to another level. Morricone's scores are full of great music and few are more memorable than this one.
Great song. For many years my favourite Bond title song. It pretty much still is these days, generally sharing/swapping the top spot with On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I hadn't heard the radio single version before. I like it but it doesn't sound as pure as the film version.

I watched the film 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' on TV the other night. It is set in 18th Century France. Ben Whishaw stars as a slightly retarded man obsessed in creating the ultimate scent. Obsessed to the point where he commits mass murder on young women. It's a good film with striking visuals, but the thing that stood out the most for me was the wonderful music. Here is an example of what I mean.
I've always like Madonnas music. The Ray Of Light video led me to another favorite video of hers.......Don't Tell Me. God, Madonna looks fantastic in this video. I can't even begin to tell you about the hundreds and thousands of dirty thought that went through my mind when she started to dance in the video. The dirt kicking cowboys need to go though. I'm not amused by their presence in the video.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

I have been watching the BBC 'Punk Britannia' series...and it's been cracking stuff....some really great tunes...here's one from across the pond though....
This is one of my favourite of all cover songs. The original by Rose Royce was/is good but Jimmy Nail's version became an instant favourite and has remained so to this day.
After several years and going on to three films, there are STILL people CONSTANTLY making the same whining (whinging to you Brits), cheap, low, and frankly BORING complaints about Daniel Craig. It's put this neat indie rock song by one of my favorite groups into my head, and I just keep playing it over and over again:
This always comes to mind when people complain about complainants.
If only everyone would do as they're told and not keep having
their own opinions. ) )
or to paraphrase a previous post, :v
"Why is everyone so F *cking Stupid. Why aren't more people Intelligent ? Like ME " )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Another thing that amazes me is when you mention just how BORED you are with the same complaints about Craig year after year, post after post, those people put on a martyr's act and complain their right to express an opinion is being violated--as if you're taking away their right to vote. Well, the Eagles had an answer to such people:

I have to say that my 2 fav albums of hers are;

I'd rather be your lover (closely followed by Human Nature ) from Bedtimes stories
