The piano cue of Vesper's theme in Casino Royale is one of my favorite pieces of music ever, along with the rest the song "Vesper" which is quite foreboding and tragically romantic. It is dark, but very beautiful.
Long time favourite of mine that I hadn't heard in a while, until part of it featured in a programme about the Voyager spacecraft that I was watching last night.
I was (and remain) a fan of much of the electronic pop music produced in the period from the late 1970's through the early 80's. Gary Numan was one of the pioneers. I bought The Pleasure Principle album (on tape) and absolutely loved it. Thirty two years later it sounds virtually as good and as fresh as it did then.

I love this song and really like playing it on guitar. It now also brings back memories of being very drunk, on my knees, lying backwards and doing air guitar in the middle of a nightclub at 2am.
Here is a long time favourite of mine from Irish group Auto Da Fe who were around in the early-mid 1980's. A very appropriate song given what month this is. It was produced by Phil Lynott, some of you may remember him as the lead singer of Thin Lizzy, or as one of the vocalists on Jeff Wayne's War of the World's album.
Thomas Newman's Skyfall soundtrack has received a fair amount of criticism in the forums but I actually think it is pretty decent. I am beginning to warm to a number of the tracks, including the dark and moody 'Jellyfish'. It perfectly fits the wonderful scene where Bond stalks Patrice through the glass doors in the Shanghai skyscraper.
Im listening to the soundtrack now, quite good on its own, lots of sounds in there that dont come thru in the film and go unnoticed.

Found this on another website. It's called Sad but Superstitious. It's a mash-up of Sad But True by Metallica and Superstitious by Stevie Wonder. It's pretty gosh darn cool:
Being of a certain age I get nostalgic for the 1970's. So much has changed since then and not all for the best. Time for my grumpy old man routine.................er, what was I saying?

Love it, love it, love it!
Love the whole first album. Moved onto For Your Pleasure but I just don't adore it as much and keep coming back to this.
I find this record in particular beautifully relaxing. Was struggling to sleep last night so played it in my head. Just so great to chill out to
