Just downloaded the new Justin Timberlake album. Awesome...the comeback kid me thinks!
The album sounds a bit bizarrely slow, but they are not quite slow songs. I have trouble imagining these will chart as well as some of his last album's songs. "Mirrors" might do the best of the group from what I've heard, and I personally really like "Blue Ocean Floor".
I do think he should stick mostly to music. He hasn't impressed me outside of SNL with his acting, and his most popular SNL skits involve music.
I am probably a rare breed of a certain age who knew Paul McCartney through Wings before knowing him as a Beatle. I bought the single C Moon when I was about 11 years old, but it was the single/album of Band on the Run (including Live And Let Die) that converted me into a fan.

Every few months or so I get into a classical music mood.
This time it's Saint Saen's Danse Macabre which I can't help but love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyknBTm_YyM
It has a real mystery tone to it and it was also used as the Main Theme in Jonathan Creek starring Alan Davies.

Heard a piece of this song (by chance) for the first time in many years yesterday, then had to rely on my memory so I could find it on You Tube. There is hope for me yet.
Perhaps odd, but I'm listening to the trailer for The Great Gatsby. The soundtrack is going to be released in similar fashion to an album with singles and has me intrigued so far:
I've been listening to a bunch of UNKLE stuff lately. I particularly like their collaboration with the Cult's Ian Astbury, 'Burn My Shadow': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDleI-vm7z4
I've also been listening to the 'Hanna' soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers quite a bit. Like Hanna, I'm a Kali practitioner, so it sort of fits: http://youtu.be/HBmwcuLa1as

This is a more easy going song from Slowhand. A song I have known for many years that I appreciate more now than before. Maybe it's because I hadn't heard it in a long time before yesterday......or maybe it's because I am getting old?
