I have been listening to SECONDS OUT ,by Genesis today (in the car)its a live album from the late 70s .
The memories of that concert. Jumbo jet 747 head lights ,lighting up the stage in magical unison.Speakers that hung like bunches of over ripe grapes, bursting forth music so loud, you thought your chest was going to cave in. The classic line up of
Collins,Banks,Rutherford,Hackett,Thompson,Bruford, performing at their peak. Collins enthralling the crowd with his tarrentell,to "I know what I like" .Rutherford ,ghostly sillhoueted against a thick wall of dry ice fog ,playing his twin neck Rickenbaker . Thompson ,Bruford playing not one, but two sets of drums. And the legendary Steve Hackett, doing what he does best. Tony Banks surrounded by a plefora of keyboards , Moog ,Poly Moog, Melotron, how did he remember? .Collins with full beard, and yes a full head of hair ,almost saviour like performing to his flock . Gabriel had gone,
the new master had arrived .Those were the days.
saw an advert on the box last night, its for a new album called R KIVE ,its a mixture of songs by Genesis, and all the band members solo projects .So music by Collins, Rutherford, Gabriel, and hopefuly Steve Hackett and Tony Banks
I can't get this out of my head ). " All about that bass"

By coincidence, lately I've been repeatedly listening to all three volumes of 'Under the Covers' by Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs. Really great stuff, and some of their versions easily equal the originals.

Good Lord, me too! One of the horrors of having two teenaged girls in the house! (I have to admit, though, it's a very catchy tune! ))

I heard a Jackson Browne song on the radio yesterday, and now for some reason I have a whole bunch of them knocking around in my head.
No samples, please. I'll take your word for it! )
