    Considering Lazenby's ego, I highly doubt he thought the movie sucked. If anything, he would play up the fact that he was James Bond.

    The episode that's been mentioned here about Lazenby quitting Bond under advice from Ronan O'Rahilly, is tantamount to him dissing Bond and the franchise, and I can see how in the dynamics of a bull session between casual movie fans that can easily be interpreted as Lazenby saying Bond sucked.

    The original poster is talking about an interview with Lazenby for ITV's Story of James Bond, made to coincide with their 00-Heaven season in 1999.

    He clearly states that he didn't think it was a very good movie to begin with.
