Daniel Craig painting

Hi there,

just like most of you I left the theatre stunned after seeing Casino Royale. Being an avid portrait-painter, I wanted to express my emotions in a painting, showing here:

It's called 'Blunt Instrument'.
I use pencils, regular brushes and watercolour on paper, and I tried to make the portrait as suprising, intense and raw as the movie. What do you think?

That's quite a piece Hugo - very captivating.
What else have you done ... of the rich and famous that is.

Amazing work. I love the lines and the colors...the shadowing too. You have great vision.
    Really, really good.

Just beautiful! Man that is awesome! Did you use the book by Greg williams to help you out?

What a great way to introduce yourself! It's excellent, and something maybe even DC himself wouldn't mind hanging in his house.

Thank you so much for the great response! Glad you like it.

@Lavabubble: Actually I do make prints of most of my portraits; 15 of each, signed and numbered. Just look at www.hugo-artwork.nl.

@ Hardyboy: As for DC hanging it on his wall: I intend to send him two prints; one for him to sign and send back to me, and one for him to keep. Looking at how generous he was towards his fans during the premiere, I think I have good chance of getting a signed one back!
(About a month ago I already sent prints of other actors to them, but it is said to take 3 or 4 months to get a response, so I'm still waiting...)

@ Mikep99: Indeed, I did use the Greg Williams book.
