Hi everyone.
For an A-Level assignment, I am doing an essay on Bond. But unfortunately, at the moment, my DVD player is being fixed, so don't have access to a DVD player, and there are some bits to Bond films I need reminding of.
My essay will be about gender representation, and I need to make references to how Bond saves the girl at the end, on some of the movies, but my memory of that is not doing me any favours at the moment.
So could people remind me how Bond saves the girl at the end of Dr No, and any other Bond movies?
Thanks in advance.

which is pretty much what happens in every movie
really you might find more interesting gendre representations in the books
for example the end of Flemings Dr No is a bit different:
Dr No has tied Honey Rider up to be devoured by crabs, giving this long explanation about how these crabs migrate every night and devour everything in their path
while Bond is being put through his own ordeals, he keeps picturing her grisly fate and making himself nauseous, then he literally bumps into her in one of the service tunnels: shes managed to get free by her own devices, and the crabs were no problem, she was never worried
as a selftaught ecologist, a "GirlTarzan" in Flemings words, who knows the habits of every species on the local islands and has already led Bond to the evidence needed to convict the villain, she knew all along these allegedly scary crabs do not eat humans!
so more power to the BondGirl in Flemings version
in contrast the filmmakers went for a much more conventional gendre representation
