Hi All,
Just checking from those a bit more knowledegable on these matters...
If I burn a dvd (based in the UK and hence PAL format) and choose it to be Region 0, does that mean it will be playable on DVD players world wide?
Or does it have have to be in that country's format too ie NTSC etc?
If we take USA for example, can you play
PAL - Region 0
or
PAL - Region 1
0r does it have to be
NTSC and Region 0
or
NTSC and Region 1
thanx

The DVD Players you are playing your DVD on must be capable of playing both formats (NTSC and PAL), which 99% of them are.
Playing NTSC on a PAL system isn't too complicated as PAL TVs have more horizontal Lines (576 as compared to 480 in NTSC)
many US TVs ( particularly older models) struggle to display PAL discs correctly.
