Christian, Andress or Green?

Casino Royale.
It is unlike any other Bond film, in the fact that we have been treated to three helpings over the years, as well as giving us 3 Bond Girls.
The first was Linda Christian as Valerie Mathis in the 1954 TV film:

The second was Ursula Andress as Vesper Lynd in the 1967 spoof film:

And the third was Eva Green as Vesper Lynd in the 2006 film:

So my question is, taking into consideration all the pros and cons, which Bond Girl do you prefer from the three?
I very muched enjoyed Eva Green's performance as Vesper Lynd, and I do find her quite attractive, so I would say that she wins my vote.
What are your thoughts?

My choice would probably be Ursula.

Asio you aren't going to like this...........but I prefered Caterina Murino as Solange! ;)

But like I said, out of the three here, Ursula gets my vote! {[]

Agree on the first statement, not the second though.

Great job supplying the board with those pictures asio.

I haven't seen the Sellers Casino Royale for over 10 years now.

I've got to give my vote to Eva Green. I tried to do it without the pics and just by memory of the role each woman played -too distant sorry. That pic of Eva swayed it for me vs. the pic of Ursula. Eva was at times beautiful in CR, and at times average. But her acting was always very beleivable to me. Lastly, her eyes in that pic just convey so much emotion - warmth, playfulness, confidence, admiration. After looking at those eyes, I just couldn't vote for Andress.

In terms of looks, they're all beautiful women. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, though, I'd probably pick Eva, simply because she seems more warm and open than the statuesque Ursula--and Linda, I don't know, she just doesn't do it for me.

As far as performance goes, no doubt it's Eva. She's the only one of the three who really played Vesper Lynd. "Valerie Mathis" is simply a mixture of characters and lacks the complexity of the Fleming character. Ursula's Vesper is simply an OTT parody of Bond babes: she looks good, but that's about it.

Now that would be a scary situation, having a gun to head. Pick a Bondgirl!

I don't know, who I'd pick. I'd have to get to know them.

I guess the question, I would ask would be. "What am I picking her for?"

In terms of looks, Ursula wins; she's absolutely stunning in CR 67. Eva was beautiful but in a more quirky, acquired way.

Personality wise though, the 06 version wins hands down.

Linda Christian... bless her, but she's just not in the same league as the other two...

Thanks, Smoke_13, I know about AJB's policy with official Bond images, which is why I linked them.
I did have fun searching for them. The hardest one to find was a decent picture of Ursula Andress in Casino Royale. Most of her pics online are from the famous Dr No beach scene.

I've simply fallen for Eva Green, so that's an easy question. Ursula was a lovely Bond girl---I wouldn't have kicked her out of bed for eating crackers---but Eva just seems more...real (or accessible).

I'll be watching her career with great interest :x

Spot on, jetset, but....... I seem to have acquired a taste for Eva's beauty. The scene where she applies her make-up in the bathroom..... :x

She also the best actress of the three by far.

Eva Green is at her most attractive in that bathroom scene where she is applying the make-up. A definite case of less make-up equals more beauty.

Christian, Andress or Green? If I was voting on beauty alone it would definitely go to Ursula Andress. However, in terms of acting and beauty Eva Green does get my vote.

Definitely Ursula Andress over Eva "I vant to suck your blood *bleh!*" Green. Horribly overrated looks and performance while Ursula Andress was hotter than she was in DN, cold, and overall amazing.

We're not actually talking about Andress in DN; we're talking about Andress as Vesper in CR 67.

Andress in DN is an icon, and unbeatable.

He just said she was hotter in CR than DN.

Personally I think there both very attractive. But in different ways.

I agree with TM, I think Caterina is the best looking but out of the three I would pick Ursula. As Hardyboy said on performance Eva wins hands down.

I have to agree with you there. I simply hated the spoof film of Casino Royale and although Mike Myers gets his inspiration from there I seriously HATE it!
As for the 1954 Casino Royale I don't think I've had the pleasure of seeing it...

So I don't really have a choice but to go with Eva Green, she's a looker and I love her dialouge with Bond e.g the 'getting dressed' scene put a smile on my face but she was only human and her vulnerability and depth to her character added to the film... speaking of depths I think her death looked pretty real and the first time I saw it I nearly had to look away from the screen... but Eva Green gets my vote :v
