Hi there.
I received a pm from the user mariam55 titled Harties Greetings. She joined 01 February 2007 and has 0 posts. Allegedly she is from Abidjan.
This stinks of spam and I haven't actually opened the pm yet. Is it possible to catch a virus or some malware by opening an obviously spam personal message?

As for viruses it shouldn't be possible to get anything on the site as HTML and Javascript (two primary tools for this sort of thing) are not allowed in Pm's.
However if the PM contains a link and you visit that linkt here is no guarantee of the contents of the website.
Hopefully spam PM's are very rare, or at least we are not allerted to many.
