Dan Can't Park!

Ahhhh, it seems that having a world-wide critical and commercial hit and winning an award hasn't made Daniel Craig immune from the press snickering at his shortcomings. From that bastion of integrity, The Sun, comes this little nugget:
Bond Daniel's a Dozy Parker
By SEAN HAMILTON
February 06, 2007
BOND star Daniel Craig has a licence to thrill Hollywood residents — with his hilarious attempts at parking.
The 007 hero has just bought one of the largest 4x4s in America — but cannot properly park the 16½-ft beast against the kerb.
Locals say the Casino Royale star, 37, leaves his 2.5-TON Cadillac Escalade jutting out at crazy angles or bumped up on the pavement. One chuckling resident revealed: “I’ve driven past it three times recently parked awkwardly — hanging off the pavement.
“It’s become a real talking point in Hollywood.
“Daniel has a reputation as a proper action man so it is funny to think that he’s struggling to park.
“It appears that he’s human after all.”
The actor appears to have no problem racing around in an Aston Martin in Casino Royale.
But there were false claims during filming that Daniel could not drive a manual — and had to have the Aston converted into an automatic.
And Daniel’s macho image was shaken early on when he was unveiled as James Bond in a superfast Royal Marine boat on the River Thames in London. He arrived wearing a lifejacket, looking seasick and admitting he was “scared s***less”.
In all fairness, it can't be easy for someone who's familiar with a right-hand drive to adapt to a left-hand one. And if his problem is parallel parking, then Dan shouldn't feel like a freak--I've had troubles in that area myself!
. . .By the way, what is "dozy," and when did Dan Craig move to Hollywood?

Of course, Bond usually just tosses the key to the valet at whatever swank hotel he happens to be staying in.
Right, Bond, like Pierce Brosnan or Roger Moore, but Daniel Craig? He'll need to completely wow me in Bond 22, because (sorry Flemingists) he was a bit mediocre, though it was his first outing, so he may have been uncomfortable.
I'd love to see how he'd handle Bond's Bentley (MUAHAHAHAHA, take that Flemingists!)

Yes, not convinced he has, although he might be doing more of those reshoots for The Invasion.
I don't think he has. That story is actually several weeks old. It appeared in LA Weekly a while back.
