Looks like Craig is going to keep his pants on in Bond 22. Here it is, from Starpulse:
Daniel Craig To Keep Covered Up In Next Bond Film
New 007 Daniel Craig has told film bosses to cover him up in the next James Bond movie, after attracting attention for his physical prowess in the tight swimming trunks he wore for Casino Royale.
Craig's famous scene in skimpy blue shorts won over female fans, but the actor is keen for the next Bond film to focus on his acting talent, rather than his appearance, according to a British newspaper.
A source tells the Daily Express, "Daniel was a little uncomfortable at the amount of nudity he had to do. He appreciated that a lot of it was to win over the female fans but it's not something he wants to make a habit of, no matter how good he looks in his trunks."

Of course he'll be more 'covered up' in the next one---relatively speaking, it won't be difficult ;% ---after all, Bond once went nearly a decade without so much as taking his shirt off (at least to the extent that he was photographed below the shoulders!). It's nice to know that going sans shirt, at least, will remain an option for the remainder of Craigger's tenure.

Yeah...Poor Danny. Poor, objectified Danny )

Nope, he wasn't saying that at all. Read the post. And also moderate your language while you're at it, please (and also learn the difference between "your" and "you're").

"I can see why they wouldn't want to be seen as 'going to the well' too often in this regard...and I still can't help but smile at the notion of positive comments on Craig's appearance becoming a distraction )Priceless..."
We've come a long way from his announcement as the new Bond, Haven't we? )

Back to the topic...This whole story falls under the "any publicity is good publicity" theme. I love these supposedly well-placed sources -- probably someone who's never spoken to nor met Craig.
Bottom line: whether he's uncomfortable baring himself or not, and whether he really does stay more clothed in Bond 22 or not, I couldn't care less. But, the fact that stories even as silly as these are getting publicized is only a good thing for the franchise.
. . .And isn't it ironic we've gone from talking about Craig's "fugliness" to his being the object of many a lustful gaze?

However, the fact of the matter is that he is a good actor, he's not just a pretty boy ala LDC et al and actually has some substance. He wouldn't want the fantastic reception of CR to be based solely on the memory of him in his shorts the same way Michael Schumacher wouldn't want to be remembered because his car was red - its about the driver not the car however you apply the principle.
I won't further dignify sonicwind's reply by quoting him yet again 8-) ...but where the hell did that come from?
Attention sonicwind! For your erudition:
objectify to give objective form to; make objective or concrete; externalize*
- Webster's New World Dictionary of the American Language
*'externalize' being the heart of the matter, in this particular instance---i.e., putting outward appearance first...
Good luck to you, sir...and welcome to AJB :007)

Yea but he wasn't in the same league of notority before Bond.
Not since the wonderful Caroline Munroe would I be as impressed! :007)

Yeah--it's being discussed in the Off-Topic forum. No crime, though!
