I get the Bond car models from a Shop Order,but
Xmas and New year seems to have disrupted the delivery of cars 26 (Lada) and 27 (?).
So the shop is checking with the local supplier.
Hopefully they'll get back on track, but nothing yet since No. 25 before Xmas.

i dont mind havin the taxi again but wen u look at the fact that wev got one already and that weve got 4 db5's, i would much rather have the mondeo from casino royale. love that motor.
the Mondeo didn't do anything though, it was only used as transport A to B, and to promote the new model of course. it's not special and didn't have any use in the movie, so i don't think it should be in this collection, there's nothing "Bondian" about it.
you can always buy a standard model of it from Minichamps or AutoArt because it was just a standard roadcar in the movie.
but we all know the Mondeo was only shown as advertising/product placement. i hated that part of Casino Royale, it just stunk, and looked like a straight-up advert for the car, not part of a movie.
These models really are superb, and the news that there may well be 15 more than originally planned is exciting.
Although it's called The James Bond Car Collection, they've already included a tank, a helicopter, a motorbike (well, tuk-tuks are more motorbike than car) and a moon buggy so perhaps the expected new batch will include some surprises… Bring on the boats, I say.
Tanks and bikes may be part of the subscription gifts (?) but if I'm not subscribing, it's been cars so far.
The best model I want is the drive-by shooting of Tracy by Irma Bunt and Blofeld in the Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman.
On the original 40 list it is No. 33, but the order has been muddled recently.
So far they've got to No.27. (although I haven't yet got 26 or 27.)

I think depending on the take up of people to the collection will depend on whether they extend the collection. Could they charge and send us for extra ones without asking us. I'd love to see some of the more obscure cars/boats/planes e.t.c. Really liking this collection now. So happy I subscribed.
They asked us upon subscribing whether we would like to pay for extra cars if they became availble, they referred to them as 'special editions'. It was also on the order form that came with issue one as a 'tick box to agree' so if you agreed to either of them then i guess they could send any extras without asking.
I am very impressed with the collection so far and would love them to carry on past issue 40 and hope that they do begin to include a wider variety of vehicles including Goldfingers Rolls Royce, Boats, Tankers, LALD Bus and Moonraker Shuttle.
Can i ask where the rumour about 15 extra cars came from?
Hello together,
I am from Germany.
In germany the collection restarts in January with Nr. 1.
The rumours about 55 cars are from Germany because it is mentioned at the ordering page.
Look: Deutsch
Also interesting a self-made Diorama of little Nellie created by a german collector .
Look: Little Nellie
Interesting for me to read and see which exemplars will follow because UK and France far ahead.
Regards to all collectors

EDIT:
PS the complete R 11 modell is also a self-made Diorama. Look at the platform, it is the one from Nr.1. This car is not part of the collection. Alos there is not TAXI sign on the top.

Hey Dennis,
how much does the collection cost in the Netherlands per issue?

The first one in the shop cost 4,99 euro and now i have the subscribtion for 6 numbers with the cost of 73,50 euro so that's 12,25 euro per number.
If I look at the Dutch forums they all mention that there will be 40 issues but in this forum i've seen numbers of over 50 and even 60 numbers. Is there anyone who can tell me how many there will actually come out?
got an email today about the delay in posting issues 30 and 31:
"Dear Subscriber
There has been a delay in the production of packing materials for issues 30 and 31. We want to ensure you receive the issues in good condition therefore the despatch has also been delayed by approximately 10 days until we have the correct packaging for your issues.
We will be in contact in the next few days with a revised delivery date.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this delay
I have heard that due to popular demand there will be another batchof these cars. I think it is great, I recon they will include;
* Moonraker 5 or 6 (moonraker)
* Moon buggy (diamonds are forever)
* Goldfingers Rolls Royce (goldfinger)
* Acrostar Jet (octopussy)
* Q - Boat (twine)
* Drug Lorry (ltk)
but im not sure they will because it is of course james bond CAR collection not VECHILE, all though they should use these I think or make most of the free gifts like the Little Neille.
have a look at these cars from the collection in this guy's ebay shop, he's opened the cases and taken pics from different angles. nice to see if you haven't opened your own cars, like me
With all due respect, you guys who are not just collecting the series to try and make a buck by reselling them on eBay and NOT opening the boxes are insane. I have opened every single one of mine and undone the screw and removed the car from the base to look at it properly. In almost every single case, the model can be seriously improved and reworked to make it better. There are plastic dags on all the wheels that need cutting off with a razor blade. There are strands of glue left over from the final assembly, there are superglue white stains on some of the car windows and there are even fingerprints of the person who assembled them on the windows and paintwork as well.
Whilst the models are ridiculously good value and include some truly amazing detail and quality (which again is only visible in most cases when you open the boxes), the fact remains that they are made in China and there are some (fixable) glitches in the models in almost all cases.
Another thing to be aware of is that they are screwed down much too hard for shipping purposes. This creates flat spots on the tyres, so the cars don't roll very well. Again this can largely be corrected by massaging the tyres a bit and then not resecuring them as hard. I think you're doing more damage to the models by NOT opening them.
In some cases I've even had to cut down the length of the securing screw because it was bottoming out inside the car body before tightening it properly to the base.
I have reworked to some degree every single one of my models so far. The DB5s are by far the worst. The wheels/tyres on those are a nightmare. None of the tyres are mounted properly because the wheel lip is actually a separate chrome piece inserted inside the tyre which has to pushed firmly to one side before being mounted to the wheel. Unless this is done it doesn't sit properly and won't rotate cleanly. Something I noticed with Xenia Onatop's Ferrari F355 is that the tyres are directional but were mounted the wrong way around. I had to turn two tyres around on my model to make it technically correct.
I've also managed to get my T55 turret to rotate cleanly and very gently got the wheels to rotate too without breaking the tracks :-)
you can see the full list (although not the correct order) here: Click

27: Ford Thunderbird - Die Another Day
28: AMC Hornet - The Man With The Golden Gun
(i'll update list as I receive them, am waiting for 28 and 29 at the moment, but it says the AMC Hornet is next on the back page of issue 27's magazine, UPDATED January 21st)
Just for information, that's exactly the same order we're getting them in Australia too.

I'm with ya 10,000%. The quality of these models for the price is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, getting the magazine as well is just ludicrously good value for money. Whilst I concede they're not up to AutoArt or Minichamps quality, they're pretty close. AutoArt or Minichamps are certainly not 3 times better as their price would indicate they should be.
I don't care if they branch out into other vehicle types to extend the collection. I'll take everything that comes on offer.
