To reply to FACT yes I think your right issues 130/131 did arrive only a couple of weeks ago and I was very surprised to receive issues 132/133 this quickly. Regarding the comments of Dalkowski 110 concerning QC reject DB5 cars being issued I'm wondering if I have received one as the back wheels don't look aligned with front. Any comments from you guys with expert knowledge would be appreciated.
Italeri have released a 1/100th scale die-cast model (shown above) and also a 1/72nd scale plastic model kit of the same helicopter.
Just bought the die-cast version £17.99 inc shipping. The site (link above) was painfully slow but they take PayPal which was good. Ok, does anybody know where I can buy a 1.100 scale silver DB5 to go with it???

The wheels are push fit. If the rear ones seem more widely set than the front, you should be able to squeeze them together a little (gently but firmly) until they look correct.
I'm not sure whether this helps at all but this morning I was on my internet banking and I saw that Fabri have taken 15.98 and not 7.99 as I would have assumed if 134 is the final issue. I contacted Database to ask why they had taken for 2 issues when according to issue 133 there was only one more issue to come and was told catergorically that there was to be an issue 135 although they couldn't tell what what the contents were. I guess it will be just a matter of waiting now till early January to see what exactly they do ship out.

I'm guessing some more of the dealers started complaining that they were short-changed. Mine did, and he's not exactly small. If you're like him, you take pre-orders by issue number months in advance. That's a loss of several HUNDRED GBP in some cases. As has been said, Universal Hobbies has made two Land Rover Defenders and probably ran out of time trying to get the double-cab pickup out when Ixo pulled out regarding the Discovery 4. As alluded to by FACT, they do need some kind of notice, even if they faster than Ixo.
Alternately, as my dealer mentioned, "Databare Warehouse are the last people to get reliable info."
So despite photos,phone calls and web search's we are still no clearer as to having a definitive answer? This never happened to the other fella Bring on series 2. -{

I'm beginning to think there are only 134. I'm REALLY hoping there are 135, since I'd love to see either Land Rover, but I'm hoping against hope. Pecker, I would be on guard to see if they refund you half your money. Alternately, they could include a non-vehicle-related bonus gift that they believe to be worth 7.99 GBP. However, it's either/or. The only scenario under which we get even one extra issue...which was promised to us...is if enough dealers and subscribers complain that although Eaglemoss was capable of filling its contract (which is to 135), it chose not to. The question is not an extension of the series...it's whether we're getting short-changed or not.
After being a lurker on this forum for a while now, this is my first post. I have subscribed to this collection from the start and after 007 years I will sadly miss it, but my partner has been giving me grief for the last 004 years about when it was going to end. She's fed up of getting up early to answer the door to the postman with another Bond car, her question is why couldn't he deliver Daniel Craig himself!

Welcome to the forum and thread Stufiley! We do hope you stay beyond the end!
I got to thinking about the Skyfall helicopter model I posted and its timing with the end of the JBCC. Since there appears to be so much interest in the JBCC and this thread, how about starting a new one? We could term it as something like "The James Bond Car Collection and Beyond" It could encompass anything do do with the JBCC beyond its UK demise - spin off partworks like the newly packaged versions RW found, any code3s we might make, BUT ALSO we could discuss the non-EON Bond cars, ANY models of cars/vehicles/boats/planes/helicopters seen in the Bond movies and their real counterparts, ANY other series such as Corgi, Minichamps, the little Kyoshos RW posted, Scalextric, Dalko's Eastern Bloc Bond vehicles, you name it. In other words all of the things we were wanting to discuss but were reluctant to, because of it being 'off topic'.

Welcome to the thread! You're lucky, my missis gave up answering the door to the postman years ago because packages are ALWAYS for me. My solution to your predicament would be to tell your partner there's a rumour going round that one of your posties looks exactly like Daniel Craig - that should do the trick B-)
Right,so I just rang them up again, against my better judgement as I haven't done this for years, given the fact I was lied to so many times in the past and was told the series is stopping at issue 135. They are absolutely adamant about this 100% No question ??????????? 8-)

They're not "lying". If they were literally lying, the company would no longer be in business. Right now, we have a dispute over *ONE* issue, not hundreds, dozens, tens, or even fives.

What does everybody else think?
Sounds like a plan but I was hoping this thread would continue on after the last issue. I'm sure between us die hards we could extend this collection beyond 134 er 135 with our own code 3 projects . I for one have two on the go the LALD bus and the vanish. As I write the vanish is being looked at by a professional tv/theatre fx company who have done work for Tv series Taggart here in the UK, CBBC and Trainspotting the iconic film . They are looking to produce a vanish using water clear silicon moulded on the DAD Aston we have in the collection. I'll keep you posted on this. I would also be keen to cherry pick from your extensivelist you recently posted to create some additions to the collection too.

This thread need not cease with the collection
Here here! I think the creation of some of the vehicles in Skyfall will also be possible, although not easy. You've got several options to choose a Land Rover Defender from, such as Hongwell or even the JBCC (although you'll probably want to fix the hood) using a QC reject from, say, eBay Hong Kong. Another one I think is eminently doable is a GE UAZ-469B as it emerges from the alley. We've also had proof that the DN Vauxhall PA Velox is easy to do and really, as model, only requires modifications to the license plates. I would guess that with some work, you could probably do a Yellow Moke as well. 'Course, the big one would be a gadget-less TLD Aston Martin. You could probably create this model, albeit carefully, using parts from two different ones already existing.
You guys have echoed what I said, in as much further discussion on the JBCC and code3s is there to be had, but is it enough? There's only a handful of us creating code3s and the results are only once in a blue moon. And there's not many others who have the time and patience to have a go themselves. So, in the absence of any more JBCC issues to keep the thread flowing, it was my thought to broaden out the thread to discuss new or existing Bond-related die cast from other manufacturers. For instance, I was thinking of posting pics of the new Skyfall helicopter once I receive it - but it isn't JBCC. Nor is Minichamps '87 Aston Martin V8 Vantage-Volante (which is being released in new colours) but might be the only correct version of this JBCC car that we will see.
I think the options are:
1) Keep the existing thread purely JBCC models plus code3s and risk long inactive periods and general interest dying away.
2) Keep the existing thread 'core' on JBCC plus code3s BUT allow other die-cast (future releases and existing releases by Corgi, Minichamps etc) and their real counterparts (anything Bond related that moves) to be discussed but expect complaints of being 'off topic' from people.
3) Open up a new thread after issue 135 based on suggestion 2 if changes are not permissable by the forum rules. Obviously a new thread could have a 'mission statement' that can't be argued with.

Will stay on whatever stream ends up carrying on. As far as database warehouse telling us 135 all that means is eaglemoss haven't told them 134 so scripts still say 135.......
The hongwell defender is a good model and not very expensive. Look forward to seeing a code 3 from someone. The xj-r may turn up as a norev or some other range at some point and a black one is quite likely to be made

Well one thing I will say is despite the fact I never got caught up with it,at least with the build a DB5 Model you knew from the word go what you were getting in to. Sure they pushed one extra issue on at the very end but that was all. After seven years we still don't know if or when this series is/may be coming to an end for sure even when it may only be weeks away I still say it will fool us all and just carry on )

This is my choice.
Just to make it clear, option 2 would be my choice as well. Does anybody reading this actually OBJECT to James Bond related die-cast models by other manufacturers than the JBCC being discussed/ photos posted in future?
Funny no real comments about the gold finger Lincoln. Bit of a none event really
Problems for Car-Centrics: Wrong color (should be blue and is black), poorly-moulded, unrealistic windshield.
Problems for Bond-Centrics: Boring diorama, no figures, boring insert card, same problem with the color.
Totally agree. If the MR Roller is the only remaining issue, the JBCC has already finished in many respects, with the Skyfall DB5 being the last decent offering.

Am I the only one looking forward to the Moonraker Rolls Royce? This collection needed more Rollers and less police cars, which turned a lot of people off years ago. As for photos go ahead and post as many as you like Even post some of the Goldfinger Lincoln if any one wants to ) You wait, issue 134,last page.......Coming in issue 1 of.......................

I'd like this one as well.
I do have some more novel related vehicles on the go which I plan to post, but it won't be until the new year. Includes the Merc Benz 300S and 8 cyl Alfa Romeo from Moonraker, Cord - LALD, Jag - DAF.

Maybe other companies are buying up Bond model licencing if the JBCC is giving up on it.
Italeri is certainly a newcomer to the Bond field. They make very nice models for a very cheap price.
