One background for the E-type as ordered. I had the Rolls driving away. Did`nt want the Jag to be `over shadowed`. Sorry! I`ll save the really bad puns for the Roger Moore era requests
I have another request, this maybe more difficult. I would like the background for the AUDI A5 as seen in SKYFALL with the Landrover in pursuit . I have managed to source a very nice A5 model .
I think this CODE 3 brand is rather cool ! and very bondesque. There must be nearly 30 code 3 models that have been posted on here now so here is my suggestion that we number each code 3 as they appear starting at 135. If you have produced a CODE 3 can you post the following info
Approx date produced, Vehicle Type, Bond Film, Diecast Maker, Notes and photo. That way we can produce a definitive CODE 3 list . Once we have a list maybe somebody could create a wiki page . Any future CODE 3 releases onto the thread can then be numbered accordingly. I think we have created JBCC monster , I hope Eaglemoss are watching cause you have missed a trick with some rather good additions to the collection.
Tony - once again - great job! I am still waiting for my package with minichamps DB5, and after it's arrival I will post some photos of diorama.
I think, that I discovered the best font for base descriptions. It is bolded Arial 10:
I do not have enough experience to create all-new dioramas, but except swaping the figures for Craig's era cars, I've created something like this so far:
I could not stand how inaccurate the scratches were :-)
Tony - I hope you are not gonna have anything aganist ;-)
If you have just a little more spare time I would love to see a picture of Hotel Splendide entrance. Something very similar to Daimler's insert, but for a long case. I think, that Daimler requires "special treatment". http://www.imcdb.org/i091817.jpg
Here is the Daimler/Casino Royale background for the long box you asked for. hope you like it
Hello.
Hoping you can help me.
I am wanting to put together a scale model collection of the James Bond cars. I have been doing some research online and it appears there was a magazine that did this for a number of years. However it looks like i missed the boat. Dont really want to ebay it
I am wanting to find a website that i can buy one car from a month. Therefore they are all designed from the same company.
Ive look around but cant appear to find anything
Any ideas?
Cheers
Nick

Thanks for this. I have looked on the website. It seems the only thing you can order is a slipcase. Am i missing something?
Once you get to eaglemoss look under Featured Partworks, click on the right arrow and James Bond Car Collection will appear, underneath it says visit shop, click on there and all the issues appear to buy. A number of us have ordered from there for back issues. Cheers
Introducing the Stromberg Jet Ranger (corgi) and insert as provided by Tony. I did
a bit of cutting and pasting to make the sea and splash around the Lotus. Looks good
Under the 'code 3 ' branding . I know it's not a car but it features in one of the top Bond
moments so it in my opinion deserves its place in this collection
It looks terrific! The one and only thing I would alter would be the text on the base: "Bell Jet Ranger" as opposed to "Stromberg Jet Ranger". I dunno...it just strikes me as...odd. But then again I'm a big aviation enthusiast and I can't stand the fact that the "Acrostar" was called an Acrostar (it was a Bede BD-5J). That may have been the name of the individual plane, but it is not the aircraft's commercial name. From Aerospaceweb.org...
This opening sequence [of OP] was a skillful mixture of the aircraft in flight and special effects. The credits of the film state that the aircraft is called the Acrostar that was built and piloted by John William "Corkey" Fornof. However, that is only part of the story behind this remarkable craft. The Acrostar is actually a kit plane designed by engineer Jim Bede and known as the Bede BD-5J. Some number of these kits were assembled to a modified design by Corkey Fornof along with fellow BD-5J enthusiast and stunt pilot Bob Bishop. These two pilots formed their own aerial acrobatic team called the Acrojets, and only their modified BD-5J models are actually referred to as the Acrostar (or Acro Star) Special. One of these Acrostars was filmed for "Octopussy" while being flown by both Fornof and another stunt pilot named Rick Holley.
The problem is that commercially, the only aircraft ever known as an "Acrostar" was the Hirth Acrostar...a prop-driven aircraft of about the same size.
Hi Dal110, I too am a big aircraft enthusiast. I have to agree with you
'Bell Jet Ranger' would look much better. Not sure why I went for Stromberg
Helicopter . Will change it and post a photo.
Great diorama, D007 and TE!! I like the way you solved the problem of displaying the helicopter in flight, and the photo surround/base really works well. I don't suppose the model opens up does it? A little figure in there would make it pretty much perfect if one could be added.
As I said before, in my personal opinion there's no reason why 'other forms of transport' shouldn't be introduced into the JBCC as code3s when the series' producers didn't stick to cars themselves. The Stromberg helicopter is an important part of James Bond movie history, much the same as several assorted boats, bikes and planes were. I think the Goldeneye Eurocopter Tiger would be a good addition too.

You were right, it was more difficult. Had to paint the Audi out of the only picture i could find and then build the rest up from scraps found here and there. However, on this occasion i have added some motion blur to the background. One, to add some excitement and movement to the display. And two............to hide all the ****-ups.
Keep those Code 3 pictures coming, the ones i have seen this far are looking awesome. That helicopter hanging in the display case looks great, and reminded me that the backgounds drop down below the level of the base and i MUST leave more room at the bottom of my backgrounds.
If only the official issues had been delivered this fast and often. Cheers {[]
Yep I agree a figure would be perfect but the model has been closed using very small rivets.
The Eurocopter and indeed the helicopter in Moonraker and SKYFALL are all perfect additions. Don't give me more ideas ?
Yes the helicopter needed to be in flight but getting to that stage was a lot of trial and error . I cut clear plastic strips and attached them to the top of the box. It looks good and at some angles
Invisible . To make the base I cropped a section of TE's insert then enlarged to the correct size. I copied and pasted the car splash . It looks quite effective if I say so myself.

I think this is your best one yet ! Love it! Thanks just have to wait for the Audi to arrive from Audi UK ! I have a number of projects now just waiting for key items to complete then I can put them together . I've not had this much fun with my diecast collection for ages. On the hunt for a Mondeo now for casino royale .
Another idea for you . What about the scene in Goldfinger when Q is showing bond the Db5 for the first time . This is would be good especially if we could see the Morris minor Royal Mail Van in the background .... What do you think?

I have often thought about doing that scene from Goldfinger, so now i will, adding the mail van into the background also. Speaking of Goldfinger, i`m working on a better background for that Lincoln convertable too. I thought the one they provided had almost nothing to do with the scene in the movie. On the topic of non car add-ons, someone has to include the BMW motorbike from Tomorrow Never Dies. I`m suprised that after including the bike from The Spy Who Loved Me, Eaglemoss did`nt release this one themselves. Its a key action scene and a pretty nice looking bike too.
i`m working on a better background for that Lincoln convertable too.
I'd also work on a new paint scheme if I were you. The film car is colored Nocturn Blue Metallic (as per the 1964 Lincoln color chart). The car they actually sent out is Black Satin. The real problem with this is that we saw the car in broad daylight, well-lit (as opposed to the terribly-lit 1960 Ford Ranch Wagon, which may have been blue or white in both the case of the two-door and four-door examples). There's really no way to get around that it's not even close to being the right color.
Here is my latest code 3 sporting the revised wording as suggested by DAL110. I agree it looks much better.
The mystery £23.97 is a back order that i made online via eaglemoss. However i ordered six models and they had only charged me for three that are in stock. Eaglemoss have advised that if i require back orders not to use the website ie the EAGLEMOSS SHOP website as it is inaccurate regarding stock availibility but to phone direct 0845 155 6397.
Also came across a website www.model-space.com they are deagostini and are offering the uk the Soviet Car Collection in three car bundles. The magazine is in Russian however. But the cars would be good for bond code 3 or something different for your collection.

Vague indeed. Does anyone make a good 1937 Cord 812? I believe that was the only model actually sold as a sedan.
