Maybe they thought most of the JBCC collectors would continue with Batman. What also puzzles me is the fact we are now seeing potential JBCC releases being released in other collections whether model issues for 2013 or part of other limited runs. Doesnt make any sense as we have all lost out. We have an incomplete collection and Eaglemoss have lost income and the diecast manufacturer has lost a big order.

BTW come on CODE 3ers lets see some new ones

    :))

Yes I would've carried on. The Wish List becomes an "only in your dreams list!".

I went with a Bond collecting friend to a toyfair at Shepton Mallet, Somerset and got a "Bargain of the day".
A Corgi JB Goldfinger DB5 for £10 ! No figures just empty car but gadgets work and no box.
So a basic replacement (and not much scratched) for a tenner.
Back in the 1960s my younger brother painted my 1965 one with white poster paint!

    Bleuville.

And what colour did you paint your younger brother after he finished painting your DB5?

A raft of back orders have finally arrived including an additional issue 121 . Now I can get to work on some code 3's

    All the best

I guess this is not the LWB version but it comes pretty close for a code 3 (closer than the QOS XJ - right, myhandle?)

Right indeed! I was not too bothered about the FYEO S Class being the wrong wheelbase or the Dodge Ram for that matter. Being completely the wrong generation really is not good enough!

Somewhat off-topic but there are two new James Bond vehicle model kits coming available this spring.

I think the SPECTRE rocket from "You Only Live Twice" has been mentioned. This is a resin kit being issued by Fantastic Plastic.. It's 1/72nd scale and includes the segmented nose cone. Price is not yet announced but I would expect it to be $75 -100 (£48-64).

    SpectreRocket-Photo.jpg

The one you may have missed is the Stealth Ship from "Tomorrow Never Dies." This is coming from BamBam Model Productions. 1/350th scale with optional armament not seen in the film. About 6 inches long. Expected price - $50-75 (£32-48).

    0118_StealthBoat_WIP-500x263.jpg

Just finished the Italeri AW101 helicopter from "Skyfall" and will be working on a diorama that includes the AW101, Silva's commando force and a burned out Aston Martin. I found a 1/72nd scale Aston from Schuco that's too nice to "blow-up" so I'm planning on creating a resin copy of the car (something I've never done before!).

I'm also starting to look for a good match for the Eurocopter Tiger from "Goldeneye."

Looking forward to seeing all these . I have bought a Eurocopter tiger off eBay so hoping to do a code 3 of that . Tony if you read this a long box background for the tiger would be good . If at all possible one so it looks like it is on the navy ship. In other words the box bass would be the flight deck ??? Cheers

Just received 134 and it is underwhelming...... From the poor grille backwards it is not even near miss really for a us spec lwb. Bought it for completeness. Now still waiting for 132/133 and replacement ranch wagon. As back orders they have already taken the cash..

I felt exactly the same , for whatever reason our collection had its wings clipped in favour of the inferior batman automobilia. The Jbcc was good for many more issues but they couldn't finish quick enough and we lost 135 the landrover from SKYFALL . But there is room to add more with code3 . With Tony's excellent backgrounds adding that professional touch you are only limited by what's available and your wallet. Keep collecting this one just started getting fun

Those of you who, like me, are former Australian subscribers may be interested to know that it is possble to backorder selected issued by contacting Bissett. I missed a few interesting models released after my cancellation but was able to order them now. You will just need your subscription number. This only referes to the models already released in Australia. The milk float has not been released here yet so I was unable to order it yet, but I plan to do it at a later date if I don't find it at a newsagent's.

I just have to respond to the comments made about the backgrounds i have been providing to all you Code 3ers. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I gave up on art many years ago following an accident, pain makes my hands shake, you see. but i got into photoshop in the last few years and have been applying what i had learned to that. Still learning with every picture i make, never happy with any of them!. But i have had some people ask for old pictures to be repaired and web page banners made, and i have always been more than happy to do so. Always flattered that anyone would think that what i throw together on a PC screen is worth keeping, never mind displaying!. I am by no means a professional Photoshopper (is that a word? it is now!), but I am now honoured to be in the company of some very imaginative and gifted people who have chosen to keep a good thing going. And i dont just mean the car collection, as an outsider who has been following your forum, i can see that its the friendships you have made over the years is what really created the need for Code 3. In short...JBCC, £7.99.....A Code 3, in many ways, priceless. Cheers to you all. keep `em coming. {[]

I haven’t looked in here for a while, but I can see things are progressing nicely without Eaglemoss, but with the stunning work of Tony and others. I think I’ll keep on looking in and have a go at some of the great code 3 suggestions myself. I have already done the “Little Nelly” and have made an effort at a different background for the T55 (not yet finished). I have no modelling experience, so I would only be using an existing base and an existing model, keeping things simple.

I don’t know if it has been mentioned yet, but I got a letter from Eaglemoss just after Christmas, regarding another part work that I expressed an interest in and that was models of Star Trek ships. That was due to be launched in February in the UK, but has now been indefinitely delayed due to the company that was due to make them has been closed by the local government for not paying the bills. Now I don’t know who this company is or in what country they are, but it may look like we got our collection in just in time and if it is the same company, then that could put a big delay on any rumours of a part 2 of the JBCC or any other models this unknown company was due to make.

I have also been purchasing the great batman models so far and I only intend to get the film and classic tv series models, as I have no idea about the comics or have any interest in them. I think Eaglemoss may have made an error there, as I think the back issues of the comic models will be stock piled for quite a while.

Regarding the Tiger, not sure if this helps or not, but there is a model out there as part of the Helicopter Magazine Collection in the UK. Not sure of how close it is, but it could be a start. I think its 1:72 or may be 1:100? Issue 8 in the link below.

Did I see some where that someone was making a list of any code3 models that has been done? Is so, I wonder if having a separate thread with just these in, so people could find them easier, rather than going through the now nearly 6,000 posts in this thread. We could still talk about them here. I just thinking of a having a clean thread. Perhaps the same for backgrounds, accessories, etc. Just an idea and it might bring more people in to get involved. I can see some might be put off by the amount of posts in this thread to read any of it.

Hi Lester, yes this is the one I have ordered . It is 1/72 scale. In fact this is an Eaglemoss part work which I have subscribed to. These are great value for example there is a RAF chinook now corgi charge upwards of £39.99 this is £7.99 !! A few of the copters may be good code 3's .

    Cheers Diecast007

Myself being a big Vauxhall fan, I would be interested to doing one of these. I don't have a Senator model, so it could be my first. I wonder if there is a good match in the Opel Collection that was in Germany recently?

    Just checked and not yet.

I'm a subscriber myself and they do seem good value for money. I love the Seaking and Chinook. I do have a few Corgi models as well. The Corgi models are better quality, but you get what you pay for. The Corgi aircraft models tend to use more metal than plastic and feel better.

I picked up an AW101 from Skyfall recently and that is ok. Probably the wrong scale for any code3 display with a DB5 though. I think it may be made by the same people as the Helicopter Collection? The base stand looks the same.

Just found it thanks. How much? :( Its not even anything special. Long are the days of me spending £50 or more on a single model. I guess these part-works are spoiling us with their prices.

It's one thing working with models but working with computer imagery takes an entirely different set of skills including imagination, perception and an eye for the believable. It's only when people actually have a go at trying to produce images themselves that they realise just how much skill is involved - it certainly IS NOT a case of pressing a keyboard button and 'voila'! You are as gifted as anybody else here.

I suggested a different thread for much the same reason but I think the consensus of opinion was to stay with the existing format.

Rather than look through the entire thing I would suggest perhaps going back maybe to about page 150 or so, most of the code3s started appearing around and after about there.

These are all of mine to date; perhaps everyone else could re-post theirs collectively with page references too, if it's not too much trouble:

Tony, the background looks fantastic, as always, but Diecast, you might be a bit disappointed when the Tiger arrives. As it won't fit in any of the JBCC cases. I don't have it to have at the moment and mine is still sealed, but I would guess the blades are a good 7-8 inches across. So I don't see how the background could fit in? I hope you have an idea and prove me wrong.

Here is my Code3 Ford Mondeo driven by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

    image.jpg

This code 3 presented a few problems . First sourcing the vehicle. After many weeks I found one on sale in a German Model shop. It is as most will know a dealer model made by minichamps . The next issue was colour. The car in the film was actually a very light metallic blue though on camera it appears silver and indeed metallic grey. This was the closest I could get without having to repaint . Others available are black, dark blue or a red estate (station wagon).

Daniel is wearing sun glasses and white short sleeved shirt . So I had to repaint a figure from a previous model then glue the head from another figure to make the seated Daniel Craig. Ok it's not a spitting image but will do for me. The base was repainted from a duplicate TSWLM Lotus . The card insert is of course another of Tony's great creations which compliments this model perfectly.thanks Tony! I darkened the road slightly to make it match the base .

In all I am really pleased and think even if I say so myself another goal to Code 3 against Eaglemoss . I hope you like it . All the best Diecast 007

The Casino Mondeo is terrific! {[] Like the Alfa 156 you did, it's instantly believable as a JBCC series addition - in other words like the Alfa it's something they had no real excuse for not giving us. And the figure looks brilliant, where did the head and body come from?

Well done on another great Code3. I notice you're not using the JBCC font so took the liberty of doing one for you if you want to use it:
