In terms of the DAD Porsche, and going by what the movie still pic appears to show, an accurate model would be damaged with no rear glass or interior, which would be faintly ridiculous when it was obviously intended to be seen as a perfect example.
I'm just doing this to promote some alteration to the model itself, but what if Colonel Moon bought the thing in pieces and was rebuilding it in North Korea? Would kind of explain how the cars got there in the first place, actually.
It's possible I suppose. Even super-villains need hobbies in down time. Or maybe Zao borrowed it, wrecked it, and hoped Moon wouldn't notice? B-)
Its all perfectly simple. That Porsche is empty and dented because its the destruction prop car and even EON dont have the budget to blow up a brand new Porsche. And what about retakes? So the car is intended to be seen in perfect condition and at the moment of destruction it was replaced with a wrecked version. They did the same with the DB5 in Skyfall swapping it with a 911 shell and superimposing a scale model of the Aston over it. Such money saving devices go right back to Dr. No when a different vehical goes over the cliff. possibly a vehicle no longer considered road worthy, or perhaps the actual hearse was needed for promotional work. Going to a greater extreme, Derek Meddings (special effects superviser) would often replace expencive models with cardboard cutouts at the point of explosion ( see Eagle Transporters in Space:1999! ) We, of course, are never meant to see these switches on screen, but thats Blu Ray for you!!
You could gut the model and label the display "Stunt Car"!!
I have been asked to provide a Little Nellie background for the long box. This amends the awkward corner to corner positioning of the rotor blades. Cheers.

Ah yes, I appear to be missing the point of this thread. Well in that case I offer the suggestion that the cars are all being stripped down and lightened so that they can all drive across the minefields in style. Oh!, how about this? Jaws is back in business and what with him being quite a large chap, they are having to modify.......no, um!
Oh I know......Blofeld isn`t dead, he`s now The Stig and that is Richard Hammond`s Porsche and as a joke....................
I have been asked to provide a Little Nellie background for the long box. This amends the awkward corner to corner positioning of the rotor blades. Cheers.
Ah, this one that will come in very useful for me, thanks Tony!
I am not really into doing Code 3s of my own (although I find the ones you guys are producing very interesting), but I do want to give my T-55 & Little Nellie proper homes of their own and the long Ixo boxes are better for that.
A little Code 2 attempt at making the IXO version at least more interesting than the Corgi edition:
Brilliant! That looks terrific {[] Where did you get the flowers from?
This particular conversion is one that was talked about when the truck model was released - I wondered whether a figure could be created to go in the back of it using some of the 1.50 plastic figures available on eBay:
Essentially the top of one female figure glued to the (skirted) lower half of another as ringed in the photo. It could then be painted to resemble the actress and 'reclined' on the bed of flowers. I'm not saying you should do it, your model looks great as it is, it's just a thought (!)
Actually, I am giving thought to adding a Tania ... but that also means I'd really need a Bond and SPECTRE agent in the cab ...
The same company as makes the figures in my earlier post also make landscaping in various scales. The flowers are already in hedgerows and just need trimming to fit; one #305 pack fills the bed as you see it.
I think it may get a lot quieter, especially concerning Code3s and buying models to create them. I just sold a JBCC model on eBay and got a hell of a shock when I posted it - Royal Mail have jacked up their prices so that whereas this size of parcel used to cost £2.20 to send (within the UK) it is now £5.20 at the cheapest. I don't know how much of a percentage increase that is, but it's certainly insanely huge, and £5.20 is more than some UK courier companies charge (cheapest courier I found was £3.99).
The increase is starting to feed through to eBay and the upshot is that anyone in the UK wanting to buy a pair of second hand shoes for instance (or cheap JBCC model) for £2.50 will soon have to pay double that just to receive their parcel. I notice on the eBay forums that many small internet traders are talking about giving up completely or going back to car boot sales, so I would imagine this going to affect other internet direct trading companies too, like Amazon or of particular interest to us, die-cast model car sellers.
The JBCC models were always delivered by RM and likewise so were the few Batmobiles I bought from Eaglemoss, so it will be interesting to see how this will affect them and partworks in general. I know RM's business rates are cheaper than domestic rates, but they will no doubt have gone up accordingly. Will Eaglemoss raise the price of the Batmobiles, give up retailing them in the UK or try and absorb the price hike?
If anyone out there has their eye on anything on eBay currently showing cheap postage, I'd say snap it up while you can (but don't be surprised if the seller asks you for more postage after the end of the auction!)
I was wondering if anyone has had problems getting the last three models from Eaglemoss UK subscription, for three months I kept getting emails saying out of stock, in the last month this has changed to "We contacted you in november due to banks refusal to pay subscription" this never happend and subsequent emails saying bank still refusing to pay, however my subscription is paid with visa credit card, after last email they are supposed to phone me tomorrow (but not holding my breath), my most likely next action is writing to head office.
The Royal Mail prices are shocking and could kill a very buoyant second hand market of all things. Its almost like they have shot themselves in the foot . Put the prices up, nobody uses the service , justification to privatise or encourage courier use ???
I have a number of code 3 projects including a commissioned 'Vanish' still waiting for components.
PoormanJB please PM me with your list and I can then agree a fair exchange for the said item you require ???
I am subscribing to Batman for my little boy. The service has been appalling , the cars are overpriced and just don't cut it compared to the james bond car collection. I will be cancelling the collection once we have received our free items.
On the other hand I am also subscribing to the helicopter collection which is amazing value at £7.99 for a 1.72 helicopter. Four free and very interesting accompanying magazine. The RAF Chinook is a big model and is £32 cheaper than say a corgi aviation archive equivalent. I fell into this collection accidently when looking for the Eurocopter Tiger from goldeneye. If you are into aircraft or helicopters take a look its a rather nice collection so far (issue 18 of 48). Deliveries are as planned and backed by a very efficient customer service (Database factory lol).
I was contacted a number of weeks ago being a car collection subscriber if I would like to take part in a survey still waiting for survey, nothing yet. Also a james bond car collection was advertised on television and seen by two separate relatives again no further info. Will post if I hear or see anything.
keep posting , code 3's etc this is a good thread it would be a shame to see it lose momentum. There is potential for many more cars and vehicles. All the best
I got Issue #109 this past week, the Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe. There was a good selection at each of my two regular newsagents, I bought a second one after the first one I got turned out to have really skew rear lights (unfortunately you can't tell until you open the perspex box as the rear of the car faces the inner card). But with 25 models still to go until the end here in South Africa, you can imagine how I am envious of you guys in countries where the collection has already finished!
There appears to be a slow trickle of early JBCC models onto eBay in the Far East, which makes me wonder if Universal Hobbies is doing additional production for "new" countries - someone mentioned on this thread a while back that the Czech Republic recently started with the JBCC. Some of the partwork publishers seem to be dusting off older publications for new markets of late, as with DeAgostini launching a partwork into Germany that previously ran in France & Spain about 4 years ago. I guess the only challenge with doing that is having the magazines translated into the new market's language.
DC007, I've been following that Helicopter Collection via the internet and it looks good, yes. There are a good number of models I would want from that group, starting with the Lynx!
I am guessing that it will launch in my country when the current AmerCom partwork finishes in about three months, the Fighter Aircraft Collection (which ran to 60 models in the UK). I've been cherry-picking some of the 1/72 models from this series, just a pity that some of the 1/100 models in the series couldn't have been 1/72 instead (like the Fairey Gannet - I bought it anyway but it doesn't fit in anywhere in that scale).
The Royal Mail prices are shocking and could kill a very buoyant second hand market of all things. Its almost like they have shot themselves in the foot . Put the prices up, nobody uses the service , justification to privatise or encourage courier use ???
I have connections to many small and medium size businesses who have ALL switched to courier services, because they pick up parcels and the service is generally more reliable than RM. Now RM are more expensive than the couriers, I can't see who's going to use them at all as a preferred option. Hopefully the courier companies will benefit from this and maybe reduce their prices for eBay traders if there is extra demand. Apparently RM haven't raised their prices for sending abroad, so a UK seller who is charged £5.20 for sending a parcel a few miles down the road will only be charged £7.20 for sending the same size parcel by air all the way to the furthest corner of The United States. How that price comparison for distance makes good business sense is a mystery to me.
For anyone out there who is only interested in the movie related offerings from the Batman Automobilia series (like me) issue 11 is the Bat-Pod from The Dark Knight, and is on eBay now:
But with 25 models still to go until the end here in South Africa, you can imagine how I am envious of you guys in countries where the collection has already finished!
I think there's a great many of us who are equally envious of you guys who still have JBCC issues to look forward to!! It all feels very flat once it's all over, especially ending on a so-so Roller. And you have some gems on the way, the Blunderbird and the weird Lincoln were turkeys but the rest for the most part are unlikely to disappoint, especially when seen 'in hand' rather than just looking at the photos. Interestingly, the last 30 seem to be achieving the highest prices on eBay too, if you find yourself with spare copies. I recently sold a 109 Impala (with mag but out of the blister) for £30 plus pp.

Who did buy the Impala? From abroad? Or is this no longer available as a back issue? I wasn't so keen on the later issues without figures but then ordered several as back issues. 8-) But compare £30 for one car with this auction: http://www.ebay.at/itm/111044347007
17 of the late issues (from #110) in unopened magazine bags for €58.33: €3.43 per car (€4.14 with shipping)! Standard price: €14.
The seller did only ship within Austria or to Germany so this had some influence on the price realized. I didn't bid but for this price it would have been interesting for the boxes alone for some code 3's.
The helicopter partwork looks very interesting and could also provide some nice base models for James Bond code 3's. The Tiger has been mentioned by DC007 (though a 1/50 Tiger is available from Siku which would be more keeping in scale with the JBCC) but several of the other models could be repainted for James Bond models: The Sea Knight from YOLT would be a cool code 3 (if you don't care for the different window configuration), complete with electromagnet and a black sedan hanging below (I don't think a proper Toyota Crown is available in 1/72, although the 2000GT is, from Kyosho).
The EC Dauphin as the US Coast Guard heli from LTK, the Bell Huey as a Red Cross heli from OHMSS and TLD, Alouette III in OP, Mil Mi-2 in FYEO and Mi-8 in DAD, and of course several Jet Rangers and Royal Navy Sea King, Wessex, Lynx etc. These are all available in the helicopter collection which is already at #43 in Poland.
I would reallly be great if we would see a James Bond vehicles collection in the future. Is Amercom somehow (like partly owned) connected to Eaglemoss so that they could use the 007 licence for planes and helicopters?

The Impala eventually sold to a UK buyer, although the initial bidders were American. I routinely sell to the USA by paying a little extra on eBay for 'eBay US visibility' which tends to generate higher interest and higher bids. The listing to which you posted a link probably suffered by being limited to one or two countries and also by being a bulk lot, which usually results in a lower price per item. But someone clearly got one heck of a bargain in buying that lot! If you can access eBay UK 'completed listings' and look at the end of auction figures for models like the Country Squire, the hearses, the Ranch Wagon, the Dodge Ram, the LALD Chevys and the Savoy as examples, you will see figures of £25 - £35 often being achieved.
Since 'Little Nellie' was obviously a helicopter and was included in the JBCC, albeit as a 'free gift', I don't see any reason why helicopters shouldn't be included as Code3s. I really liked DC007's TSWLM Bell Jet Ranger, DDenis's version of the same aircraft, Arronax's Skyfall Merlin and I thought they complimented the series brilliantly. I'd love to see the GE Eurocopter included as well. It would also be good to see the Acrostar in flight, if someone fancies having a go at Code3-ing that one. It would be great to see more boats too, why not?

Unfortunately, in my recent experience the official JBCC supply system has become increasingly unreliable - they will take your order online but keep you hanging on endlessly without delivery until you ring them up and complain, at which point they just give you a refund. However, it could be an issue with your credit card such as the expiry date running out. If I were in your situation (but this is just me) I'd write to them to see what's going on, but in the meantime I'd be tempted to try and buy the last three models independently from eBay or a Toyfair just to be on the safe side. That way you could just ring Eaglemoss and cancel your subscription if they still haven't delivered your models. If you happen to end up with double copies, you could sell the extras on eBay or maybe even to people on this forum. But as I said, that's only what I would do personally.
Glad to see this thread has moved since I last looked on April 24! Yes, I'm still checking. And I also have some other confirmation as to what one of the "135+" models would have been. Apparently, Ixo partially developed a Jaguar XJ-L, and we may see it next year if we're lucky. Darn! I know I would've gotten that one!
what is the number again for the eaglemoss place please ? - Been waiting since february for no show on the Country Squire. ill just get that refund....
Apparently, Ixo partially developed a Jaguar XJ-L, and we may see it next year if we're lucky.
Hopefully we might see it in the correct Skyfall colour and trim, in which case it can be dropped straight into a suitable JBCC case! Looking forward to seeing it anyway.
danjb1992 - Eaglemoss number for JB cars is 0844 472 5226. They might say 'Endeavour Partwork' when they answer, but they will take your call concerning JB cars when you speak to them.

Much appreciated for your view, i have been thinking along the same lines and will be sending a letter to head office this week
I received the milkfloat a couple of weeks ago (from the backorder), and this concludes the JBCC for me.
Did that UK TV ad for a new/extension JBCC really exist? If anyone in the UK contact the publisher regarding their order, would you be able to ask if they know anything at all please?

Are you not tempted by the next issue - 131 Chevy Police?
I suspect Eaglemoss are waiting to see how the Batmobile series pans out before making any decisions on any possible JB re-launch or extension. On the one hand Database will tell UK customers that back issues are only available whilst dwindling stocks last, but on the other hand Eaglemoss are advertising most back issues online as being available. That contradiction it itself suggests they haven't quite finished with the JBCC just yet, especially if it's still generating more interest than the Batman Automobilia series. My bets are on a re-launch in some form, but whether that will include extra models who knows? It's clear that several unseen JB models are already in Ixo's ranges and could be added.

Yes my feeling too. I have cancelled my Batman subscription today. Have been waiting along time for some of the issues. The collection is very poor in comparison to JBCC and I cannot see it move beyond 30 or 40 models. But it is suggested there will be 80 in the collection. Customer service has been appalling
I am going to see my commissioned 'Vanish' next week. Will post photos. The GE Eurocopter and a number of cars are all waiting for components to complete as code 3's again will post.
RE the TV advert of JBCC extention, both relatives said they saw it both relatives from North East of Scotland , Grampian TV area. Maybe a trial run like they did with the 1/8 aston. I think the JBCC 2 is around the corner and will be presented in a similar light to Batman automobilia. Bigger boxes , online magazine, etc etc. Here is hoping always the optomist

Whatever it is, it's not going to be by Ixo. Apparently, Ixo and the project management team for the JBCC have had such severe problems that Ixo is now refusing to fill backorders for the JBCC.

Hopefully we might see it in the correct Skyfall colour and trim, in which case it can be dropped straight into a suitable JBCC case! Looking forward to seeing it anyway.
danjb1992 - Eaglemoss number for JB cars is 0844 472 5226. They might say 'Endeavour Partwork' when they answer, but they will take your call concerning JB cars when you speak to them.
thanks mate, appreciate that {[]
Much appreciated for your view, i have been thinking along the same lines and will be sending a letter to head office this week
