Thanks Tony for your comments and your explanations. In fact, I am using a very simple tool which is GIMP. But it is not enough powerful so I have to learn on Photoshop as you explain few pics ago.
So I used your background and it looks great ! I just had to adapt size as it is the box from the original magazine (taxi of the world in France). Anyway, we already have 3 types of different size box from the JB collection, so I don’t mind now to have 1 or 2 more.
I think by the time, with all good models made everywhere that we reach more than 70 code 3, which means in total +/- 200 models !! If we continue like that (and I will on my side !) , code 3 will have more models than official JB collection !

It follows an American Sci-Fi and Horror Toy Dealer as he bargains to buy and sell on toys for profit.
Next Monday (24th June at 9pm) the programme features a kids toy Aston Martin Vanquish pedal car.
The prog gets repeated on following days.

I hesitate to mention - but in a Martins Newsagent shop (in the UK) there was a white American style
trailer truck with light and sounds for £4. Just a cheap foreign made plastic toy but
on the trailer side and roof amongst other graphics was "007" printed 3 times.
So it's not a Bond toy but it just happens to have that number on.
There are 3 graphic colour variations of blue, red or green.
I bought one for me and the other two for a friend/Bond collector.

It's called a Roadsterz Heavy Hauler, with about 22 languages on the box packaging.
With a lot of imagination it might vaguey look like the Licence To Kill trucks-but shorter and not articulated
and with box trailer-not a fuel tanker. So nothing like it really !

I have that model also. Found it in a bargain bin in Model Zone. I keep mine with the gold plated Corgi DB5 and Rolls from Goldfinger. But looking at what you have done, I might do the same. That looks pretty good on that diorama. Not invisible, but the high reflection does blend the edges and longer surfaces into the background. Like D007s clear model, it suggests the car is in transition from Vanquish to Vanish! I like it. Good idea.
In fact, if it was reflecting more of the diorama and less of the room it is in, it could look more like this...
Incidentally its official - I'm now a member of the AJB car club! Just bought the the Z8 BMW (No 4) in addition to the Aston DBS (No 20) on Ebay.

Thanks for the heads up BV - I've now seen four of these programmes after your posting, including the one with the 007 Vanquish pedal car (it looked incredibly flimsy - I wonder how many kids were actually allowed to play with them??). The series is quite an eye-opener. On the one hand, the US hoarder/collectors featured make me feel far less guilty about my own boxes full of stuff when you see how much they've amassed, but on the other hand, why weren't all those super-cool toys available in the UK back in the day?
It's noticeable how diverse their collecting themes are, but has anybody else noticed how many times a model, figure, poster etc of Karloff's Frankenstein monster seems to crop up in amongst the Star Wars, Batman, Transformers stuff? Perhaps it's a badge of collecting, you have to have Frankenstein's monster amongst your stuff if you're a serious hoarder. I happen to have a Sideshow one!

BTW, if anyone's interested, the Skyfall Land Rover Double-Cab model I've been making appears to be going well (touch wood). I've just sprayed the re-worked body silver and will be sorting out the roof rack and Eve figure soon.

One to fit the Acrostar plastic cover (which might be a little too small for the beautiful backdrop you've created) and one for the "Goldfinger" Red Cross Ambulance plastic cover (that fits vehicle with Laser Gun on top).
I'll let you know how it turns out and post the best pictures on the thread.

Tony, I am creating a backdrop for a possible future custom, once I have my default cars. - How many degrees "up" do I need to angle the backdrop end boards? I am following your advice re using Google Earth for the layout, but the raisee end bit is eluding me to a degree. (No pun intended.) Thanks!

By the way, Neo marketed their first tractor trailer cab in 1/43 (so perhaps we can hope for a Kenworth W-900...) and apparently Premium X will release a 1973 Chevrolet Bel Air Taxi very soon (of which we saw more than a few in both New York and New Orleans in LALD; the Premium X model will be a New York private fleet cab).

The DB5 display looks really good Shran, well done!
I use '3M Spray Mount' to fix new caption labels to the bases, it's great for sticking paper to just about anything and while the glue is still wet or even tacky you can reposition the label if necessary. It also cleans off really easily using refined lighter fluid like Ronsonol, without damaging whatever it's been stuck to.
BTW I notice the DB5 base is totally flat, have you considering asking our Tony for a 'photo' base card to put on it - a sort of ground effect like the lower edges of the backing card? That could be held in place using spray mount too.

I picked up the Thunderball Blunderbird a week ago - it's been discussed to death here how pointless and inaccurate it is, but I'm playing the completer game so it joined the others.

So, after 6-1/2 years, 134 issues, 261 pages, 6,500 posts and more than 1.2 million views we have finally recieved the special honour of a "sticky". - A good reason for a little thread statistics to see if interest has dwindled since the end of the collection.
This thread got started in March 2007 after the preceding thread http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/27895/new-007-car-collection-coming-soon/ centered around the poor packaging and damaged models. I include the 6 pages / 136 posts of that thread here, as it was started in January 2007 which helps to compare on a yearly basis.
I think it's quite interesting to see that after the first three years with steady but only moderate activity there is a pronounced rise for 2010, and after that - and continuing for the last 2-1/2 years - we have an average of four to five posts every single day. Considering the collection has ended and there's no sign of waning interest this year I'd say that's pretty impressive. :007)

In theory, you *could* try to recreate the correct front end. It's one of the very few post-100 JBCC issues that goes for next to nothing on eBay if you want to keep one original and see if you can do better than the manufacturers on another. The taillights, as it's been pointed out, actually are correct. The tampo-printed vents, while crude, are at least there. It's the front end that needs actual correction. Bare Metal Foil, anyone (yes, I realize it's not exactly the type of car to BMF--typically a practice reserved for white metal--but it's recommended you practice on cheaper diecasts before foiling your first white metal car)?
You're also right about trucks. The White semi-trailer cab that Neo released is going for about $100 shipped from the usual Hong Kong dealers.

I notice PoorMansJB is on the very first page too, which possibly makes him the longest serving contributor to the JBCC related threads.
Actually I'm not too surprised that interest in the thread still seems pretty healthy. A lot of subscribers were very half-hearted about the JBCC in the early days and many dropped away in favour of the big DB5 partwork leaving the 'real' enthusiasts (IMHO), who seem to be growing in number and will provide their own new JB cars if Emoss won't deliver. The series has yet to finish in some parts of the world so people there might be checking in to see what's next, and of course Bond 24 will create fresh interest with whatever new cars that will offer.

When I found ajb sometime in 2008, I started to read this thread from the beginning (which wasn't a big deal with about 30 pages at the time), and the second post already mentioned an "original thread": "I think the original thread on the collection starts with the intention of providing comments on the collection itself (I myself have made comments about each model) but due to subscribers receiving damaged models/casing, it seems to have turned into a packaging thread!"
Then it wasn't too difficult to find the thread the poster was referring to.
I think I will also take the time to reread the entire thread. With hindsight, I think quite a bit of our speculations will be funny to read, but there is also much information buried somewhere in these pages which will be very interesting to find again.
And I am looking forward to seeing the finished Landy. I don't think we will see more from the one from the German guy, as that forum changed to a new site a month ago (like the MI6 forums but leaving the old site intact for viewing), and that user still hasn't reregistered on the new forum.

I took a look through that original thread, RW - not much new information in those 6 pages as such, but interesting to read nonetheless. I noticed a few names of posters who are still active here, many years later. While I've always been a Bond fan, up to the release of the JBCC I had collected only as many of the paperbacks as I could (all of the Fleming set, and as many of the Gardner et al books that crossed my path). I probably wouldn't have joined AJB if it hadn't been for the JBCC thread that I found here (I actually think I found the MI6 one first, via Wikipedia). I was keen to see which cars were headed my way as the series had started in the UK about 18 months ahead of us here in South Africa. On that score, I picked up the TMWTGG Ixo Mercedes 220 today, two weeks after getting the Blunderbird, so it seems that our local distributor has finally gone back to a fortnightly release schedule {[] So by this time next year I'll have them all ... and maybe even that Issue 135 that they've twice mentioned on the inserts :v

It's one of the very few post-100 JBCC issues that goes for next to nothing on eBay if you want to keep one original and see if you can do better than the manufacturers on another. The taillights, as it's been pointed out, actually are correct. The tampo-printed vents, while crude, are at least there. It's the front end that needs actual correction. Bare Metal Foil, anyone (yes, I realize it's not exactly the type of car to BMF--typically a practice reserved for white metal--but it's recommended you practice on cheaper diecasts before foiling your first white metal car)?
You're also right about trucks. The White semi-trailer cab that Neo released is going for about $100 shipped from the usual Hong Kong dealers.

On the board where I'm an assistant moderator, stickying a thread is virtually always picked by the mods. But hey, I'm glad it's different over here, because it's one of the few areas where I disagree with our host (respectfully, of course).
I had no idea that there was a thread that preceded this one (it's sort of like being told the Missing Link has been found) - I shall read it with interest. All credit to Steve Rush DI5 Agent then, who appears to be the very first JBCC poster. I notice PoorMansJB is on the very first page too, which possibly makes him the longest serving contributor to the JBCC related threads.
Actually I'm not too surprised that interest in the thread still seems pretty healthy. A lot of subscribers were very half-hearted about the JBCC in the early days and many dropped away in favour of the big DB5 partwork leaving the 'real' enthusiasts (IMHO), who seem to be growing in number and will provide their own new JB cars if Emoss won't deliver. The series has yet to finish in some parts of the world so people there might be checking in to see what's next, and of course Bond 24 will create fresh interest with whatever new cars that will offer.

I think I will also take the time to reread the entire thread. With hindsight, I think quite a bit of our speculations will be funny to read, but there is also much information buried somewhere in these pages which will be very interesting to find again.
And I am looking forward to seeing the finished Landy. I don't think we will see more from the one from the German guy, as that forum changed to a new site a month ago (like the MI6 forums but leaving the old site intact for viewing), and that user still hasn't reregistered on the new forum.
Please find here a new try for Tomorrow never dies. It was an ‘old’ cart that a bought year ago. Different wheels but look good to me.

Sorry if I forgot someone and some cars, but it is a huge list. So now we are at :
78 new cars and 58 modified cars from the collection.
Most represented : books cars then Goldfinger (11), Casino Royal (9), QoS (7)…

I took a look through that original thread, RW - not much new information in those 6 pages as such, but interesting to read nonetheless. I noticed a few names of posters who are still active here, many years later. While I've always been a Bond fan, up to the release of the JBCC I had collected only as many of the paperbacks as I could (all of the Fleming set, and as many of the Gardner et al books that crossed my path). I probably wouldn't have joined AJB if it hadn't been for the JBCC thread that I found here (I actually think I found the MI6 one first, via Wikipedia). I was keen to see which cars were headed my way as the series had started in the UK about 18 months ahead of us here in South Africa. On that score, I picked up the TMWTGG Ixo Mercedes 220 today, two weeks after getting the Blunderbird, so it seems that our local distributor has finally gone back to a fortnightly release schedule
