Inspired by the work of DDenis, I could`nt resist throwing my "Mag hat" into the ring.
This cover is dedicated to MCFs fine Land Rover Defender Double Cab.
Nice one Tony! {[] I really hope Eaglemoss check up on this thread every now and then (if they can see over all the boxes full of unsold Batmobiles!) it's still not too late for them to re-visit the JBCC series with a new extension.
Well this is fun. I seem to have been bitten by the "cover bug" and have come up with a few more while I have been fine tuning the look of them. If anyone would be interested in having a cover made to possibly display next to their own Code 3, I would be happy to create them. Simply send me a PM with a photo of your model and I`ll run off a cover for you.
Tony, whow !! it is perfect works. You have created the 'visual' can fan collection... I will asked you some... First, do you have some ideas to 'redo' the Nber142 - Skidoo (with no mistake in the name, sorry) ?
Do you have enough pictures?
Very good work SWG !!!! I have some work to update the list of code 3 .... wich will become soon bigger than the offical collection !!! And with the mags coming from Tony ... I cannot work at the moment on models but in few weeks, I will have more time.
MCF, good idea with the 'crash'... I will think about that...
Please continue, it is always good to see to many surprises eact time I'm connecting to this forum.
Cheers.

Hi DDenis
thank you for your kind comments. I used a couple of your pictures to create this cover idea. Hope you like it.
P.S.
I just found this when I was searching for photos. No idea who made it but I think its an awesome job. I know we have laughed at the idea of the cello being included in the JBCC, but when you see it done this well, its sure not as silly as some of the Eaglemoss offerings. Whoever made it, I salute you with a cover all of your own.

That's the work of Canadian fan Michael McNally; something along the lines of these JBCC Code 3s, Mike is creating an ever-expanding extension to the ICON figure line.
Great job to all, but can I make a suggestion to SWJ? GoldenEye's novelization suggested an old model Moskvitch. Since the portrayed 2140 had only been out of production a few years and the last Izh-412's were a common sight on Russian roads, I always imagined the car as either a Moskvitch 408 or even a Moskvitch 403. Both cars appear in SSSR AvtoLegendy and can be weathered very easily.

That's a good point, didn't think about that. I'm sure I have a 408 in the loft.
My goodness we have been busy in the world of code 3. Fantastic. I have been very busy over the summer with work and not often able to get time to enjoy the forum and or continue my code 3 projects.
Tony I would be pleased if you could do me a couple of Mag covers for
Skyfall Audi A5
Die another Day Vanish
That would be great many thanks
just to bring you up to speed on my projects I have waiting here at Diecast 007 HQ.
SKYFALL Range Rover Met Police special unit
SKYFALL Discovery 4 Met Police
SKYFALL VW BEETLE
Ford Corsair
Moonraker Shuttle . Back ground Tony of the station and deep space would be good thanks
I have six DB5 (4 Atlas and two JBBC)
2 Etypes (Atlas)
So I am going to be busy over the coming months.
I mentioned a 'Vanish' second run , anybody interested. Not sure of cost but I plan to have up to ten more made with a slight difference to the original two .

Excellent! I eagerly await your diorama!
A tip on weathering the car: you can easily dry-brush on matte red-brown spots to simulate rust and then paint the whole thing with a matte clearcoat. If you need pictures of rusty Moskvitches to see where the rust usually forms, I can easily provide you with those. Good luck!
Hy to all,
Thanks, Tony for the cover. Exactly what I wanted. And the new 'cello' james bond is great... When I went to Beulieu Museum, I made the same picture as you used... I thought about a diorama.... to late but I will make one for sure....
Very stimulating to see so many work everywhere.
Next step is the complete mag ???
Without jocking, I found a french forum where they order their own model in China, at the scale 1/18 for arround 50£.
I don't know, maybie it would be possible for 1/43 if we asked few model of each idea ?? But I think is take time to organise that.
Great to wait your new model coming from all of you.
Cheers.

Oh Crikey,
Everyone’s been busy again! I lament my tight budget, it means I have had to put the breaks on everything on the creative front recently, except I have managed to secure Little Nellie! I never thought I’d get one at a sensible price but was quite shocked when I collected her from the Postal depot. A lot of work on the diorama front awaits me in the future methinks!
Right first off, DDenis I love the Skidoo diorama, makes a nice compliment to the crystal Vanish that Diecast 007 did. Eaglemoss could easily have had a duo to trio set there had they done these alongside the green jag, and the touch of cheeky humour is right out of the film. Nice to see the stunt men get some unconventional recognition!
Tony I love the Mark II background for MCF’s Skyfall Landy. To me it emphasises this is the first vehicle that it could be argued is MPenny’s from the audience's angle, even if its for a one off assignment. Have any vehicles been established that were Q’s or Tanner’s? I know that M is usually chauffeured everywhere (Brown, Dench – both Mawdsley and Mansfield). I digress. - Lovely stuff as always!
LJ89 - yes the pics are low quality. Your SF Aston is not however! Base nicely done, and even the lighting in those pics conveys the mood of the scene in the film!
SWJ – You have been busy! Doing vehicles from the novel adaptation of the films is an inspired take. The red Boatus is very odd to look at. I suppose its because I am used to the white version of the car in sub mode, even though we got the rust red turbo model in FYEO. Does it come with a water ski rack?
Equally although I am not sorry we didn''t get the Ferrari in Moonraker, I wish we had seen the one from TND. Lovely models and I can see Michelle Yeoh having fun driving the life size version of the latter.
Where did you get the model of the Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter? Its a nicely shaped replica, and looks the part. You’d think its a limited edition like Little Nellie or the Goldeneye tank!
Everyone has been doing fantastic work with the magazine covers. It really hammers home the fact there are many options to the James Bond CC well beyond where Eaglemoss have stopped. I hope to have a go myself at some stage.
More please! -{
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

The helicopter is from the Corgi range of Bond vehicles. Easily available from many places - including ebay of course!
There have been one or two posted here before and special mention to Tony Ericsson who I think provided the superb background.
I mentioned a 'Vanish' second run , anybody interested. Not sure of cost but I plan to have up to ten more made with a slight difference to the original two .
Keep up the good work every one !
Hello, I would be interested in a Vanish please. It looks great!
I think its time we make our unofficial code 3 collection official. The quality of each new code 3, the creativity and imagination of the creators with the artwork provided by Tony has given our part work we religiously subscribed too a whole new dimension and should be documented before it too runs out of steam. I suggest we record each code 3 as they are produced in the same fashion the original collection was listed and still is on Wiki. Each code 3 should be given an issue number as it is produced starting at 135 and so on. Who would like to volunteer for this grand task? Some of our models have been given numbers with the addition of magazine art work already . I think this would be a valuable record for all to see what is available to create. I think our code 3 collection has out already out numbered the original. Wouldn't it be great if it also was listed on Wiki for the whole world to see. What do people think?
Aside to aid my Discovery 4 skyfall I enquired about purchasing decals for it. I got a quote back with a minimum order of 50 A4 sheets at £1000 plus VAT . LOL. I guess that will be an ongoing project
Hy to all,
Tony, good work on the last issues mag.. I think now , you have created the new Code 3 design wich seems perfect. Maybie, you will have to recreate the first few mags I have done...
And what do you think about my 'inside part 1...' ?
I will print the shuttle as soon as I can : good work also !
Diecast007: I have a list of all models I found on this forum. Maybie few are missing but we can start from that. It is on Excel sheet. I can exchange this list ( I don't know if I can put it on the forum but I will try ) but not yet, it is on my home computer and I am on holidays for 1 week more.
Cheers
Hi guys, SDMC Productions in Manchester is looking for passionate and hard-core people who collect interesting and bizarre objects for a six-part light hearted series on collectors who are willing to break the world-record for having the largest collection and are looking for the final memorabilia to complete it.
Also looking for a specialist advisor as the show will aid the following person as they document the journey and mission to attain their goal and collect that final piece.
If interested and you match the criteria, please get in touch and they'll arrange an interview at one of the studios.
Mr. Fitton, I have one of the largest 1/43 East Bloc automotive collections in the United States at 1,000+ vehicles. Not trying to break the world record, but my country's record? Maybe, I'm just in it for the vehicles. Unfortunately, I'm in the United States.
Hi all
Another little bit of fun here, The Fleming Bentley Blower. I know a few of our Code 3rs have produced this model and I dedicate this cover to you and your fine work.
I`d also like to pick up on a couple of other ideas that have been mentioned in the forum and in PMs. Firstly the idea of producing covers for every Code 3 so far. I would need a complete list of the cars produced this far and possibly the order in which they have been displayed in this forum. However, If only the few people actively involved in making Code 3s actually want a print out of a cover as a display option then it might be easier for me to continue to make them to order only and think of another way to list their work so far. it all depends on what everyone else thinks.
The other thing that has been mentioned more than once and also to me in private, is of
expanding on the Code 3 idea to include vehicles from movies and TV. I know that this is stepping outside the Bond theme of this forum and indeed the website, however, the idea sprang from here and the interest in doing such a thing is here. Add to that the fact that many of you are interested in cars in general and not simply cars featured in Bond movies, then I see no reason why this idea cant run alongside our existing Code 3 thread. For my part I wouldn't be too upset to see the occasional Mad Max Ford Falcon dropped in among the various Astons!!
So what do you think? Personally I feel it could bring in some new faces and could expand and prolong a forum that has given us all a lot of pleasure and cemented some good friendships. I don't want to see this end just yet, and I know I`m not alone. So on behalf of Thunderbird 2 and myself, I present a couple of back cover options for what we are imaginatively calling CODE 4 !
I thank you
these two are purely ideas based on the Code 3 Logo, for my money though, I favour the top one!

Tony thanks for posting the prototype pic of the Code 4 box. - I agree on the top version as the best, its brilliant! A perfect outward facing box art. The colour and style of the text nicely compliments the existing Code 3 design too. I do have a small alteration request. - Could you include FAB 1 in the mele of cars behind the logo?
A worthy cause, living up the ideals of Thunderbirds, by raising money to help save lives. But as a side note, it also makes Lady Penelope's famous car - real! That in turn had me thinking, this version of the car could (conceivably) be seen in a Bond story if Lady P and 007 had to work together on some kind of operation. The contemporary style of the real Rolls Royce Ghost would work well alongside the Aston, as both (now) are real functioning cars, running on the UK's roads! Hence my desire to make it my own principle Code 4 if possible.
All this neuron firing had me imagining other possible options and asking Tony what he thought... As he has noted above, Tony had already been thinking along these lines, and beyond too!
Incidentally, if I can get FAB One made, even a 1:43 Rolls is pricey, the box scene art will tie with the Bond Code 3s as a special edition introductory Code 4. - "Long Wheelbase Rolls Royce Ghost - Property Of M'Lady" I already have a design prepped for the background scene art.
Re a definitive list for all the Code 3's I think its a lovely idea, but I am speaking from an observer perspective. I say that as the total number of cars I will have is quite small compared to others. It would be a nice way to recognise the hard work of everyone who has pioneered a new vehicle, and those who have built upon it afterwards.
So, - what does everyone else think?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Could you include FAB 1 in the mele of cars behind the logo?
Of course I can. Hope you like the revised lay-out with FAB 1 out on the front line.
The cars featured are clockwise
Black Beauty (The Green Hornet)
Ecto 1 (Ghostbusters)
General Lee (The Dukes Of Hazard)
The Bandit`s car (Smokey & The Bandit)
The Interceptor (Mad Max)
Ford Torino (Starsky & Hutch)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
KITT (Knight Rider)
Mustang (Bullit)
The Batmobile (Batman `89)
Herbie (The Love Bug)

Oh Thank You! Even before I read the list I spotted KITT and the General Lee - cars I loved as a kid, and as you suggested (our PMs guys,) No 6's Lotus from the Prisoner! Its perfect!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
I`ve been doing some back tracking this morning, trying to find the first example of a Code 3 to be posted on this forum. Its got me thinking about what actually constitutes a Code 3 model. In my opinion it needs to be either a car not officially issued as part of the JBCC or one that has been radically altered and set into a new diorama. In either case I feel that a true Code 3 has to be presented in a display box and in a style that sits comfortably alongside the official collection. For example...
this is most definitely a Code 3
And so is this
But is this a Code 3 also?
Or, brilliant as it is, without being set into a diorama that echoes the official run of cars, is this still a Code 3?
The reason I ask is not out of some form of Code 3 snobbery, in spite of the many backgrounds I have produced for others, I still only own one Code 3 of my own and I made that five years ago! I only ask because to document them all will be a mammoth task, and if I am to produce an original cover for in excess of a hundred cars then I want to be sure that I`m not doing more work than I have to. In short, I ask out of pure laziness!
That said, I have traced the Code 3s back as far as page 182 with this offering from Never Say Never Again produced by SWJ.
Now I don't know if SWJ still even reads this forum, so who would actually benefit from my making a cover that features a car that only one person owns a model of, and might well have left the forum months ago?
What I could do instead is this. I could trawl through the pages from 182 to now and collect pictures of ever Code 3 printed and list them with the names of those who made them. Along side that I could continue to make fake covers to order for those wishing to display their efforts in the style I have suggested in this picture
After all, such covers are only really of interest to the people who`s car it features and only they may want to print one off as a keep sake. Of course the other reason to not produce covers for each and every Code 3 is that it would only really work if the person who`s model it featured was willing to "flesh out" the "issue" with details of how the car and display was created. His reasons for choosing that particular model and so on. In short, creating an online magazine. In that case, I would be more than happy to provide the covers and any other work needed to make it look as good as it can. But I`m talking about over a hundred back issues now. Besides, would every single Code 3er be willing to put in the time and effort to do this? And haven't we already covered the hows and whys in detail already?
I do feel that a definitive list of all the Code 3s has to be documented and posted in the best way we can. Not only to show that there was a true passion to see this collection become as definitive as it could be. But most importantly as a way of honouring the brilliant work of every Code 3er who looked at what Eaglemoss had done and thought to themselves `I could do better`, and then proved it.
P.S. OMG!!! did I say page 182?? I`ve since traced my own Code 3 back to page 37 and there are examples earlier than that. This is gonna be a long, long night. NURSE! more Red Bull!!

But most importantly as a way of honouring the brilliant work of every Code 3er who looked at what Eaglemoss had done and thought to themselves `I could do better`, and then proved it.
There was a list of "Code 3s so far" compiled a few months ago - maybe 10 to 20 pages back now (?). Since then we have seen MovieCarFan's SF Defender, Diecast007's Vanish and others from DDenis and other contributors.
I've built no Code 3s myself as yet - I'm still collecting the series & will be getting the Lada Niva next week ( {[] this was the one I requested way back when we were still discussing possible extensions beyond Issue 110 ...).
When I do get to doing some Code 3s in the future, though, my personal boundary will be what would have been Fabbri/Eaglemoss's boundary in the mainstream JBCC, namely cars from only the EON series of films ... so cars from NSNA, CR(1967) or the novels would not be included.
I doubt consensus could be found on what would be a definitive sequence of cars following Issue 134. Realistically, some models shown so far will probably remain once-offs with no-one besides the poster making them - which leads me to suggest, Tony, that perhaps you should make covers only on request, and somehow allow the user to assign whatever Issue Number they like to the bullethole in the top corner. That way each person can build up their own post-134 collection, in whatever sequence they choose.
Comments
Nice one Tony! {[] I really hope Eaglemoss check up on this thread every now and then (if they can see over all the boxes full of unsold Batmobiles!) it's still not too late for them to re-visit the JBCC series with a new extension.
It's been a while, so here are some more for you.
Many apologies for the poor photo quality. The better camera is on holiday with the wife at the moment 8-)
The literary collection expands:
From the novelisations
'James Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me' The Lotus was red!
'James Bond and Moonraker' saw a Ferrari rather than the Lafer.
'GoldenEye' - a Moskvitch rather than the ZAZ
Tomorrow Never Dies: Wai Lin's Ferrari
Raymond Benson's 'Zero Minus Ten'
I have also continued looking at the comic strip angle and there are some really interesting cars there:
Casino Royale:
Moonraker:
OHMSS:
Finally, I know others have posted similar, but just for completeness:

Fantastic , can you resize it to the long box if at all possible ?? Just to give me a an option cheers

Of course I can. Hope you like the revised lay-out with FAB 1 out on the front line.
The cars featured are clockwise
Black Beauty (The Green Hornet)
Ecto 1 (Ghostbusters)
General Lee (The Dukes Of Hazard)
The Bandit`s car (Smokey & The Bandit)
The Interceptor (Mad Max)
Ford Torino (Starsky & Hutch)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
KITT (Knight Rider)
Mustang (Bullit)
The Batmobile (Batman `89)
Herbie (The Love Bug)
Lotus Seven (The Prisoner)
FAB 1 (Thunderbirds / Breast Cancer Care Appeal)
Oh Thank You! Even before I read the list I spotted KITT and the General Lee - cars I loved as a kid, and as you suggested (our PMs guys,) No 6's Lotus from the Prisoner! Its perfect!
Thoughts?
