I am slowly working my way through the thread post by post. It's a long task but getting there.
Fine by me, DC. I had a go at sorting them all out and it nearly drove me nuts. All I can do is perhaps assist with the final presentation of the definitive list you come up with. Maybe feature a number of covers for the most popular models and the best presented examples of Code 3s. I have found several examples of Little Nellie, (including my own) that have been posted using the background I made. Some featuring another view outside and only one or two flying. I would suggest that the one found on page 14 constitutes the first Code 3 and should be issue 135. What do you think of the idea of posting that model on page one and include a listing of the other examples of Little Nellie on the same page, along with the dates, page numbers, maker ect...? That way we don't have pages that repeat themselves with slight variations of basically the same model, but that we do have a definite record of the first person to create that Code 3 heading each page and with their issue number.
I have said that a cover without a magazine is really of little use to anyone other than the maker of its featured model, but looking back through all of the posts, there is more than enough info on these Code 3s to fill several books. These include a number of in depth tutorials covering the making of many of these models, bases and in my case, backgrounds. I suggest then that whenever a cover is included in the page presentation, that it should also include a feature or two cherry picked from past pages. Maybe include comments made at the time by other forum members.
As suggested already, with each page featuring a number of examples of the one vehicle , we can add to that page every time a new model is presented making that one page a definitive magazine in itself. Each page could feature multiple examples of the same vehicle, making every reference to, say, the QOS DBS easy to find as they would all be posted within one page and list every version so far. this would help in streamlining the format and avoid repetition. But each page would
dedicate an issue number to the first person to post their Code 3.
below is a test page of what the new gallery could be laid out like. This shows only a few of the Little Nellie Code 3s I have found so far and the comments made by the person who posted the pictures. This can be edited and added to once the page is posted and could grow to be a definitive guide to that particular Code3, with all relevant information on that model in one easy to locate page.

CODE 3 ISSUE 135
Posted on page 14 by antimon61 23rd Jan 2008, this was the first example of a Code 3 to feature within this forum. Made by an unknown German collector, it set in motion the many additions that would appear as well as expand our forum far and beyond the official run.

Following on from the comments and what others have done with regards to Little Nellie and the T55. I have had a play with a background for Little Nellie today and here are my results.
To start off with I used the base from the Range Rover Sport Casino Royale and I tried the background version that someone else had done and came up. The sandy coloured background, I thought didn't quite fit with the grey base. So I looked at the film for some insperation and I noticed that the path out of the door is grey. Great I thought, as it will match the base. I took a screen shot from the film and played with it Photoshop to get a more realistic looking background.
This is the diorama for Little Nellie I made a while ago but never got around to posting a photograph. I used the base from a damaged issue Range Rover from TND- sanded flat and painted

Hi guys,
I have a suggestion regarding the bending of the blades in order to fit into an existing display case;
The images show how I intend to display mine... also, I don't know if any of you are interested but I have included a scanned backdrop for the YOLT diorama. I have tweaked it (using photoshop) to fit to my case which is slightly bigger than the exising cases and then printed it on photograph paper
Hi all,
Good start tony witjh Little nellie with Nber 135.
If think the ling to page, with name of author, date,.. are very good. The way to add all different makes for the same model is very good.
But for me, make a copy of all comments is unusefull, because if we need detail & comments, we can go on the relative page.
And it will give you a huge amount of work !
But you decide !
And I don't know how you will put that on the forum...
New code 3 JB are coming very soon ! And Code 4 also ! be prepared.
Cheers.

I agree, keep the pages clean and simple. With the original page numbers included, people will be able to easily access more information and in the context of the time. Best to stick to the minimum of facts and figures and let the images speak for themselves.....Plus far less work for us!!
With all the talk of taking the JBCC concept off into a new direction involving general movie cars set in dioramas, it occurred to me that you could really have some fun with that idea using photoshop. How about putting yourself or someone you know into the background as Bond, or a Bond girl, or Batman, Bullitt, Bandit, Ghostbusters, Marty McFly, Del Boy etc? It could be a real laugh.
As a development of that thought, it would also be possible to do your own personal diorama using a model of a car you own or have owned in the past. Again, using photoshop you could show your house and maybe even family in the background. It could even be your Dad as a young guy with the car you remember as a kid.
Or you could have yourself with a supercar and mansion of your choice. Tony might even provide such a background for a fair price............???? Just thinking out loud!
The term "CODE RED!!!" springs to mind. Visions of my dad ( cigarette in mouth ) pushing an old Ford Popular to the next garage while mum sits at the wheel pointing out places of interest in the middle of the New Forest. And my brother and I watch as said places of interest crawl past the window at a snails pace. Hell yeah! That one is going on my shelf. Count me in.

Moviecarfan! You have pre-empted me. - That was going to be my proposal for the Code 5s!
I already intend to do my dream car as a JBCC. - I want to do a screen seen "actual" Bond car as a Code 3, that will go alongside Fab 1 as my primary Code 4, with my dream car as the story's Code 5. Although each car will have its own box with a different scene background, all three will be connected by the story title. if time permits I'll try to write the story too!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Well this is interesting.
After bringing forward the release of the Batman & Robin batmobile and The Bat from The Dark Knight Rises in an effort to re-boost flagging interest in their batmobile collection. It appears Eaglemoss have decided to jump ship and are bringing out plan B.
Interesting indeed that Eaglemoss are launching, in the UK summertime, 3 new partworks - this Star Trek one, the Dr. Who figurines and the 1/8 scale Nissan GT-R.
Certainly sounds like Batman Automobilia isn't going to plan if they've had to bring forward the 2013/2014 winter launches...
I should be getting the GF Mercedes "220S" (issue 117) this coming weekend, so now 35 weeks to go until I have them all ... less than a pregnancy

Pundits are saying that the Dr.Who series will do well in the UK but the Star Trek series will do much better internationally, with many ships included that have not been modelled before. Going by the very impressive Next Gen Enterprise and the Matt Smith 'Doctor' which appeared in UK shops last week, both lines should do well IMHO, certainly better than the Batmobile series.
I still reckon Eaglemoss should have done a 1:8 scale '66 TV Batmobile build-up series rather than the GT-R.
The GF 220S is a great addition to the JBCC, just watch out for the bonnet Merc emblem, it's very delicate and can be found to have been bent backwards on some examples.
That said, I have traced the Code 3s back as far as page 182 with this offering from Never Say Never Again produced by SWJ.
Now I don't know if SWJ still even reads this forum, so who would actually benefit from my making a cover that features a car that only one person owns a model of, and might well have left the forum months ago?
OK I`ll do it. But I need to know the name of the first person to produce a Code 3 model, what page its on and what the model is. This needs to be a starting point on which we all agree and I`ll number that one as 135 and work on through. I have revised my cover and it will feature under the bullet hole issue number, the page and the date on which the Code 3 was posted. The name of the maker will appear at the bottom as usual. To indicate the difference between movie cars and those from the books, I will place illustrated versions of Bond from various serials as well as drawings or paintings of the actors that played bond in the movie versions of those books. Photos of the actors will only appear on covers featuring the movie cars.
This is a sample cover to show what I mean, the dates and info are made up for now.
Notice that the double window above the car name echoes the style of the official run after they did away with showing a single photo of the model. I`ll flit between both styles depending on the photos I find. But for now. I`m off to the coast for a couple of days and will be back online and getting started on this from Sunday....Needless to say, many hands make light work and a clear and comprehensive list including page numbers would be a massive time saver for when I finally plough into this task. As for the existing issues? Whats a few rewrites after this little lot?
Please don't make any more Code 3s till I come back!!!
Good to hear from you again, SWJ, glad your still reading. So pleased you liked the cover. Your past work on the none official movies and ((my personal favourites)) the cars from books and comic strips are bound to feature very heavily once the big list is finally compiled.Cheers {[]

Glad to hear from you DC. No rush on the final list though. Far better if one person takes their time to do it right, than have a whole crowd of us holding up pictures and asking "Where does this one go?" It could only end in a pie fight anyway I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
It will be great to finally have them all in one place where every ones work can be found and admired. Thank you DC, cheers. {[]

I CAN VERIFY.. - Sorry, I can verify this too. I was in Forbidden Planet Bristol today. There were 3 or 4 Dr Who mag/s figs on the shelves. A notable pile of - if I may so say so, really ugly Batman cars! They all looked like something out of a bad knock off version of the Tim Burton's films. Not Code 4s. Or 5s. Am I missing something here? (I had wondered if there was the Batmobile from Batman Forever, but no luck) However, not one single Star Trek edition! Were FP not carying it? - I asked the staff who were very nice, they clarified that they are doing them, but they had completely sold out in only 2 days!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Eaglemoss are onto a winner with star trek , star trek is the definitive sci fi genre that has crossed many decades and appeals to all ages. like bond we all have our favourite captain, series or even movie. everybody knows what a star trek ship looks like and even who the Klingons are. I bet you they'll run this collection for along time and produce all sorts of weird and wonderful star trek craft even craft passing by or berthed/docked in a space station in the back ground! LOL. We might even see the enterprise with phaser damage or missing a door. They might even produce the Jean Luc Pickards Enterprise but it will say Star Wars and not Star Trek and everybody will get sent a new one. Joking aside this is set to be a good collection.
Just a heads up ! Atlas Editions are launching the 'Dinky Collection' . They are reproducing the popular Diecast cars and vehicles as produced by Dinky complete with authentic box. The collection looks amazing.
just thought I would investigate more and see this has been marketed in Europe already with French Dinky replica's.
The first one for UK is DINKY 197 a very nice Morris mini Traveller, others include a Bedford CA Van and Transporter with Tank !!.
At £14.99 I think this is a part work to collect. These models look fantastic replicas and according to Dinky experts just like the originals with only the base plate to give the game away it is a replica. The boxes look fantastic too!
The Dinkys worked in France, so will probably work in the UK. I too have heard of the British Lorry partwork, although from what I know, it's a little ways off. Still, you can see three of the moulds likely to be used in the French trucks collection, of all things: the Bedford TJ 6S, Bedford FOYD, and Ford Thames FTG 7, plus the Ebro B-35, which was a license-built Ford Thames. Wouldn't be surprised if they put in a German-built truck of some kind to make it an even five for a test series.
is this hornby set the same as the real skyfall train ?
paul
(SNIPPAGE)
PJFT - if you are asking that its the same type of rolling stock, yes it is. The BR Class 91 engine with Mark 4 coaches, which together from the Intercity 225 train. I recommend sending a PM to Q-Branch-NL to ask him how he made his custom direct.
Q-B-NL sorry for the late reply to your post. - In my judgement the train is a probable Code 4, possibly a Code 5. I say that because the train is literally a publicity vehicle FOR the film, rather than transport depicted within in the film. Lovely work by the way! Are you planing others? (FRWL, LALD, OCT, CR-06?)
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
How about this,
Code 3 or Code ??
Sorry for the quality of the photo's
Will post better photo's this weekend, just could not wait to share this with you all
I'm probably being ultra dim here but I kind of assumed this was a mass produced Skyfall retail souvenir. (I know very little about trains) If not, and it's a one-off home-made creation, it's a cracking model.
How was it done?
I would say that it isn't a Code3 as per the vast majority of offerings that have appeared so far, but definitely worthy of display and inclusion on this thread. I said some time ago I firmly believe the gloves are off now the JBCC is finished. I for one would love to see other Bond related forms of transport modelled such as trains, planes, boats etc. - Even the LD Cello Case was a hoot -{

Your not alone, MCF. It fooled me too. I assumed it was bought looking like that. If it is a custom job then its a damn good one. I too would love to see the Code 3 scope widen to include other vehicles. After all, there are no rules here but the ones we make. Bring it on, I say.

When I have a bit more time, I'm going to have a look at a background for the T55 and try and find a case for it to fit in with the rest of the range.

Here are two dioramas that almost done, of course the Goldfinger Rolls is now not needed!
Does anyone have any other models in mind to add to this collection? Vehicles that exist that could be turned into the world of Bond!

Where is this Skyfall train available please ?
Thank you for answer.

I'm still here! Honest!
Fabulous, simply fabulous!
STILL HERE AND STILL READING EVERY DAY........ITS A WHILE SINCE I POSTED, BUT AS A RETAILER OF THE MAGS, I THOUGHT THESE FIGURES MIGHT BE OF INTEREST.............SOLD ITEMS FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS......BATMOBILES X 4........DR WHO FIGURINES X 3........STAR TREK X 48!!! YES I AGREE, THE STAR TREK WILL DO WELL..........STILL RUMOURS OF A UK LORRY SERIES AFTER CHRISTMAS..............MIGHT BE A FEW POSSIBLE BOND CONVERSIONS IN THAT LOT IF IT MATERIALISES............AND I MUST SAY I AM MASSIVELY IMPRESSED BY THE HARD WORK THAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING WITH THE CODE 3'S AND THE PHOTOSHOP STUFF.....IT IS SENSATIONAL.......KEEP IT UP, YOU ARE ALL PUTTING THE "PROFESSIONALS" TO SHAME
THANK YOU!!!!...............
Joking aside this is set to be a good collection.
just thought I would investigate more and see this has been marketed in Europe already with French Dinky replica's.

The Dinky series looks very tempting but a bit of a wallet-buster as well, methinks 8-)

I'm probably being ultra dim here but I kind of assumed this was a mass produced Skyfall retail souvenir. (I know very little about trains) If not, and it's a one-off home-made creation, it's a cracking model.
How was it done?
I would say that it isn't a Code3 as per the vast majority of offerings that have appeared so far, but definitely worthy of display and inclusion on this thread. I said some time ago I firmly believe the gloves are off now the JBCC is finished. I for one would love to see other Bond related forms of transport modelled such as trains, planes, boats etc. - Even the LD Cello Case was a hoot -{
Your not alone, MCF. It fooled me too. I assumed it was bought looking like that. If it is a custom job then its a damn good one. I too would love to see the Code 3 scope widen to include other vehicles. After all, there are no rules here but the ones we make. Bring it on, I say.
