The QOS Aston DBS-
I was hoping it will have a figure of Bond in it.
Otherwise they just produce the CR one with a different number plate!
Yeah i was really hoping for it to be different i.e. smashed up and scratched. I am surprised that it is not to be honest, as the few seconds when the DBS is not smashed up, it not even on screen.
But on the other hand, at the risk of sounding a massive car nerd, the DBS from CR is different in many ways to that of QoS.
In CR it was a striped-down DB9 with DBS shell on it. And i believe that in QoS the DBS has rear seats.
also the cars are different colours in each film in QoS it is a lot darker, almost black.
At least we know that they will be a figure in side this one, as DG is always in the driving seat. (apart from when he gets out ) )
I have just received issues 48 and 49, in a larger box - complete with a second magazine holder!
Although I have managed to fit all of the mags I have received to date quite comfortably into the first holder, it looks like those of us who have a subscription can rest easy for now!

This has been discussed on previous pages. Unfortunately Rolls Royce demand high prices to those who wish to make a model of one of the cars. Clearly Universal hobbies and/or GE fabbri are unwilling to fork out on such things, as ultimately the price would have to be payed for by us. The cheapest 1:43 rolls that i have ever seen is about £30!
Have we now somehow caught up with france?
Over on the french forums they are talking about getting issue 49 as we speak.
Yet back in june 06, when on holiday in corsica, i purchased issue 2, the vanquish, from a magazine shop.
And yet over here it didn't start until about Feb 07!
i dont understand how this can have happened...
Anyone got any ideas?
i have started to make a replacement background for the daimler limousine to put it in the tomorrow never dies police escort scene....
As you can see, it is far from perfect. It still has the CR number plates and at the moment it still says Hotel Splendide on the side, but i think i might put the SIS logo or something on top of it.
also, and most noticeable is the fact that it has no people in the car. but i have no idea where i could get 5 figures to go in it?:)
If anyone would like the background with the police bikes that i made, feel free to ask.
how can you get people inside???.are the doors not sealed????:):007)
You really should open your cars from the plastic cases Dokk )
It is hard to see the models and all the detail with the temporary plastic on.
You dont know what you missing!
no they are sealed but i believe that it is possible to unscrew the cars from there chassis, as other modifiers have done, to put people inside. Like this http://img225.imageshack.us/my.php?image=voituresdejamesbondcasivu4.jpg
however i have never got as far as screwing the cars out from the plastic base. the screw-head is triangular ?:)
But on the other hand perhaps this is a blessing, as other wise the cars would become damaged!
No thanx...think I'll just keep them in original condition....might have to sell in years to come...with the bloody credit crunch..Oh! I wish I had money!, so I could moan about being poor!!:007):))
Here are the backdrops that i used, if anyone wants them...
i used photoshop to make and print them, this might mean that you have trouble printing them out at the right size.
what i would suggest is that you copy these into Word or something then use the onscreen ruler to make it 6.5 by 23cm.
and the car and film name to 7mm by 14.5cm. Oh and use card for the main bit!
once you have printed it out, put a real background on top of it and draw around it. Use this a scissor guideline.
as a finishing touch you might want to scan the back of another TND car (eg the BMW 750il) background and stick that to the back of mine.
I jsutw ant to tell you about a really nice experience I had yesterday with the subscription line for these models.
About 3/4 weeks ago I called them as I'd not had about when I complained that 4 weeks ago that the last issues I'd had were 40 and 41 (Mr White's Casino Royale Jag and the Citroen Grant drives in FRWL). It was because my bank card had expired. They took the new details and told me all of the models would be on their way soon.
Anyway to cut a long story short, still hadn't got them and talked to a lady and mentioned in passing I still needed to order issues 2 3 4 and 5 as back issues too. She reassured me at they had my correct card details and the models were in the middle of being dispatched and I could call and order the back issues at anytime as they had plenty in stock.
Job done. Or so I thought.
Less thn half an hour later I had a call back from the same lady. She told me that there'd been a bit of a mistake and because of an administrative error they'd only got half of the models ready for me! She'd made sure that they were all going to be on their way and she also told me that by way of an apology for the inconvenience they'd send me issues 2 3 4 and 5 that I needed free of charge.
I work in the customer service industry and I think that this was a demonstration of excellent customer service on their part. Going right back to the begining where there were the problems with the packaging it's great that there has beena company that has been keen to take onboard customer feedback and to help keep it's customers happy. :007)

I think you have one of the early French trial models. In France the 007 car collection started in 2006 but was discontinued after only five issues (the 5th being Zao's Jaguar XKR and not the 2CV). These early French models can be most easily identified by gold print on the base of the display case, and the name of the film in French.
The car collection started in France again in 2007, this time with the same models and English-lettered bases as in other countries.

The collection is looking damn good now. seriously lacking room though. need to buy some extra shelving me thinks.
But you get a free gift of the Renault why make it again
You only get Half a Renault as a freebie:D:D:007)
I don't know if I'm stating the obvious but not everyone who's collecting these models has subscribed and therefore not everyone will have had the model of half a Renault.
Also I really like AVTAK and I know that it's not one of the most popular 007 adventures but nobody can dispute that the car chase through the streets of Paris is a highlight of the movie and I think it warrants the 2 models.
