Blimey FACT, one slip of your finger on the mouse and you might have had 600 DB10s at your door! :s
I agree with you, I can't see those being in short supply for long, especially at 1.36 scale.

Good to see Tony's site again. I just wonder what happened to him....

For anybody who's got withdrawal symptoms after finishing their huge DB5 model, how about this? - advertised on TV today -

    Hello - welcome aboard.

I'd suggest you do a search on 'Tony Ericsson' on this forum. This chap is a legend when it comes to producing new background cards. He has been very kind to have created some for the 'code 3s' that I've thrown together.

Don't forget to post the pictures of your completed models. We are all interested in what members create.

Somewhere on the thread Tony posted a link to a photo-hosting site with all of his backgrounds on, it may still be accessable. I was in touch with him by email but he very suddenly went quiet and I haven't heard from him since, which was in 2013 when he helped me with the Skyfall Land Rover chase background:

    http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/28313/james-bond-car-collection-questions-and-praise/page/262/

He also did an alternative b/g for the Moneypenny sniper scene.

Failing that, most of the backgrounds either created by Tony or by any of the other Code3ers on this thread have been posted, I think it's a matter of trawling through many, many pages!

I contacted the bond in motion collection , seemingly issue 1 is out of stock and 2 and 3 are being sent within 21 days . Yep Tony helped me with a number of my Code 3's the Audi A5, Ford Mondeo and many others. Great attention to detail and the backgrounds were amazing !

Further to my message yesterday I meant to say I asked how many is in the collection and I was told 60 models. We know the Spectre DB10 features so I wonder what other new ones are amongst the collection. I am guessing most will be repeats of the usual suspects but I wonder if we may get some new additions that were missed from the previous collection. When I signed up I did tick that I would be interested in specials. The ATLAS dinky collection has produced some very nice specials so I cant see this one being any different. Of course that was a big failing of JBCC no specials

I wonder when it is going on general release then? I've popped into WH Smith and my local newsagent and there's no sign of issue 1 yet. I'm guessing they are not relying on the website only to drum up sales.

I'd like to know what the 60 models are. I'd imagine that there are at least 8 vehicles from Skyfall and Spectre that could turn up.

They never provided a full list of models for JBCC - most likely because they were making them as they went along - tricky, but that is apparently how partwork series work.

I also understand that it was a test run only available in part of the UK. They are probably still not ready for an official release. But as long as the website is working, you know the series has not been cancelled.

I seem to remember only the first 25 or so JBCC models were announced by Fabbri when they had already stated via stockists that they had plans to run to 40. It's actually the mystery of the unknown models that kept people interested, which could be another reason apart from manufacturing issues for not providing a list - marketing strategies. I'd be very surprised if all the models in this new series are announced from the very start, I would have thought 'coming next' in the mags will be the only info given after the first few are released. That way, new subscribers will have to buy the whole Bond in Motion series before finally finding out what they've got that's new and what's been repeated from the JBCC series.

    You may be right.

I recall that we got a list of the first 20 or so. Once we got to about issue 35, we got the announcement that it was going to 80 and a sort of draft list was produced from somewhere. I'm sure we had a list with the La Salle and Cadillac hearses on way before they were actually released and the milk float had been rumoured for a very long time.

I am beginning to wonder if the new collection will even feature any new cars at all ...

    casino-royale-car.png

They show the DB10 on the website but this picture is actually called http://007car-collection.com/images/slider-carousel/casino-royale-car.png "Casino Royale car" and maybe this is just a mistake and should be the DBS?

There is the Spectre poster and the DB10 for Craig's films but the poster doesn't necessarily match the car for the other actors (DN poster + TB DB5, LALD poster + TSWLM Esprit, GE poster + TND BMW), so maybe it wasn't even planned to show the DB10... {:)

CC08099 is now listed on Corgi's website:
    http://www.corgi.co.uk/shop/new-for-2016/james-bond-aston-martin-spectre-twin-pack.html

The single pack DB10 (CC08001) has been noted as Sold Out for a few days now ... but as it isn't a Limited Edition (as far as I know) I guess there's nothing stopping Corgi from making more.
The DB5 is just a completely unchanged rerun of the SF model - so why does it take them so long to deliver this set (scheduled for release on April 18)? Corgi has really lost its way - in April the interest in the film and merchandise will be much lower than now. If they'd released the set now (or even better, before Christmas) they could have sold many more.
I don't understand why Scalextric (also part of Hornby like Corgi) could produce the Spectre set with the C-X75 and DB10 much sooner than Corgi? And the DB10 seems to have been produced in a too low quantity again for the first run, so it is already sold out and not Corgi is making good business but only the dealers who charge much more again. Some are asking up to £60 for the £20 item!

    And thanks for the link to Tony Ericsson's album, FACT - he really did make great backgrounds! -{

When the series was launched in Oz, we were promised 40 models. It would have been absolutely ideal to have a list upfront and know what we were looking forward to. No mystery of the unknown models kept me interested – I knew what I wanted, and I still remember how many disappointing “blink and you miss it” and unnecessary models were included. This unreliability – no definite list and endless extensions – are sufficient reasons for me to not even consider subscribing.

Got the Hot Wheels 1/64 DB10 a few days ago, found it by chance at a grocery store and I've just received the Corgi 1/36 DB10 a few hours ago in the mail... They both look great!

........Or, if they are only going to supply a Spectre DB10 as a 'new' model, is it possible they might commission Oxford Diecast to make it for them since OD have the Aston Martin licence?

I'm not surprised. JBCC was such a great success that it saturated the market for a long time. There really isn't so much demand for re-releases. But, guess what, if they launched Bond vehicles in 1/24, I'd be the first to jump on!
  • imranbecksimranbecks SingaporePosts: 139MI6 Agent
The way Corgi is running things lately, it certainly looks like a sign that the company is going to go bust sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if they did though. I've seen this happen before from another company, Code 3 Collectibles. Some of you may have heard of them.

Unfortutanely I think you're right about the re-release demand. I would only have been cherry picking anyway (I couldn't justify subscribing again - not without severe marital issues :)) )

I hope someone does bring out a 1/43 DB10 though - I've saved a case and diorama specially!

Well folks ! Here is my first delivery issue 2 and 3 ! Issue 1 is out of stock and will be sent in due course. First impressions the magazines are of better quality than JBCC . Cars are obviously same and same backgrounds but display cases seem to be better quality also. Apologies magazine pictures are not displaying the correct way not sure what happened there. :#

    hi to all,

I have find some time to work on models (even if not 100% finished...) and mags.
Thanks for sharing the 'new' collection (no new model yet).
Hope to see new models 'officials' and some code 3!!

Based on SWJ (thanks !) idea, in 02/2015.

    Hi to all,

For people who are 'MovieCarFan', :)) , and I think there is quite a lot, here is the new inside next Code 4 :
    16_Inside_part_code_4_17.jpg

    few others models will come.

One of my Chrismass present was a 'french' collection of Michel vaillant (49 cars!) : I don't know if it's very commun in UK.
It's not really a Code4, as I don't make any modification on the full collections.
But I have some models for the TV series, that we had in France in the 60's (in Black & White !) and there will become 'Frenchie' Code4.

    Cheers.
