hay Aston do you have any pics of the QoS 007 cars collection
if yes please post them -thanks
Afraid not there not out yet to the best of my knowledge - but one good place to keep an eye out for them is on Ebay - evan if you're not wanting to buy you can usually find them on there
this actually looks like a half decent model.
i like it when the base unit isn't just a road or gravel path.
We haven't really had one since the Chevrolet Nova.
Unfortunately looking at the lineup, it doesn't look like we will be having manny more!
Why are so many of you complaining about the line up of cars in this collection?
I am glad that there are some more...for want of a better word... obscue cars in the collection. After all there are only so many Aston martin and Lotus models you can collect before it gets to be a little boring and unoriginal.
I think that the makers of these models have, or in some cases tried to, chosen cars that will appeal to both James Bond fans and model car collectos -- thus increasing the number of potential customers they have.
Also not only that but I think that when the collection is complete if you look at all of the models it will show how automotive designs have changed over the last 40+ years.
This isn't to say that there's not some models that I'd like to see that aren't in the current line up... but when you think of the attention to detail on the models and the relatvly cheap price for them when compared to Minichamps for example then I seriously think that these models are one of the best ranges of James Bond memorabilia this decade - if not ever!
And who's to say that there's not more than 70 models in the pipeline?
Why are so many of you complaining about the line up of cars in this collection?
I dont think that anyone on this forum have been complaining about the lineup of cars in the list.
I agree with you that the attention to detail on the models and the cheap price are fanatic, and that this is the best 007 car collection of all time.
I think that in general people just feel like there are so many cars that they could do, which they haven't.

I like the old Renault 11.I used to have a Renault 4..& it was a great wee car:D:007)
I was just looking at all the Bond movies on http://www.imcdb.org/movies.php?title=james+bond and looking at all the cars that they could feasibly do and it was amazing!
I found about 25 that i could see them making, most of them would be interesting to own, non of which are on our list of 70!
1977 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 in A View to a Kill
1984 Renault Fuego in A View to a Kill
1964 Aston Martin DB5 in Casino Royale
1984 Chevrolet G-Series in Casino Royale
2007 Ford Mondeo MkIV in Casino Royale
2007 Land-Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon in Casino Royale
1971 Ford Econoline in Diamonds Are Forever
1997 Porsche 911 Turbo [993] in Die Another Day
1980 Lotus Esprit Turbo [Type 82] in For Your Eyes Only
GP Beach Buggy in For Your Eyes Only
1961 Chevrolet 2-Ton in From Russia with Love
1935 Bentley 3½ Litre in From Russia with Love
1964 Aston Martin DB5 in GoldenEye
1991 GAZ 31029 Volga in GoldenEye
Chevrolet C-10 ambulance in Moonraker
Bedford TK in Octopussy
1968 Volkswagen 1300 [Typ 1] in On Her Majesty's Secret Service
1989 Ford Bronco II in Quantum of Solace
Land-Rover Defender 90 in Quantum of Solace
Nissan Bluebird [U12] in Quantum of Solace
1978 Volkswagen 1200 [Typ 1] in Quantum of Solace
2008 Volvo S40 T5 in Quantum of Solace
1985 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante in The Living Daylights
1976 Ford Taunus [TC2] in The Spy Who Loved Me
1987 Daimler DS420 Limousine in Tomorrow Never Dies
After this they would have no choice but to move on to the Rolls-Royce
So i guess i take back what i said a while ago about 100 being to many. ;%
Let them keep it going as I think this is a good collection so far, I agree there are a few duds within it, but then thats what makes the whole thing a unique collection. But they should realy make the FRWL Bently & the CR Mondeo, as these have not been produced by any other company. (Not cheap ones anyway)
WOW fanatic! absolutely amazing! I want one of everything! :x
Love the way you put them film-by-film.
I could look at that all day and still see new things!
I have about half of all the things in this pic, but this display is great.
There are a few things that i am interested in this display; on your TND shelf what is the maroon car? also where did you get the die another day ice bike from? finally What is on the bottom shelf of your tall unit, is it a dbr9?

Once again fanatic, well done
Thanks for the comments.
The TND Maroon car, is a Johnny Lightning Carvers Goons car, I think theres going to be one in this collection. The ice bike is also from the Johnny lightning set. Yes, that is a DBR9 in the tall unit as I have a Aston Martin collection also.
All the cabinets are from Ikea.(The normal ones are the "Billy" bookcase range with glass doors & shelves. I dont know the tall ones name)
If this car collection goes up to 80, Im gonna have to pop to Ikea again! I think seeing as with issue 49 they sent another cardboard holder, they must be going up to at least 80 issues! I just wish they would produce an offical list & stick to it! I see the FRWL Bentley has gone from the various lists posted on here.
I'm stoked they're including one of the BMW E28 5 series police cars from Octopussy. I was always hoping they would but didn't think I had much chance. Looks like I'll have to keep collecting to at least issue 70 just so I can get the E28 BMW!
Am I the only one with an issue 20 model of the CR DBS that has the rear window glass positioned incorrectly *outside* of the window frame? There is a painted border around the edge of the "glass" which represents the seal rubber of course, but then the clear plastic extends beyond this and is clearly visible sitting on top of the boot lid.
The rear window piece has been put in from the inside and accidentaly poked out through the rear window opening in the body and then riveted in place to the inside of the metal roof. There is no where near enough flexibility in the plastic to get it back inside. I'm going to have to drill out the rivets in the roof, reposition the glass and super glue it back in place.
Extremely doubtful I would have noticed it at all if I hadn't opened the case and unscrewed the car from the base to look at it properly. The effect is that of a car with the rear opening glass hatch not closed properly and left ajar. Helf up to the light, you can clearly see an airgap through the rear window from one side to the other.
All of my models have had issues I've been able to repair so far. None has been perfect. The worst so far have been the ones with turned wheels. TSWLM Lotus Esprit & GE Ferrari F355 were particularly problematic to get the wheels turning freely, but this is the first model I've come across with such a blatant assembly error.
Makes me wonder about those who don't open their display boxes at all thinking they are maintaining the model's "mint" condition. I assure you they are anything but "mint". Unopened? Yes. Mint? Definitely not. Not until you've fixed them up. I like having to wipe the fingerprints of the Chinese person who assembled them off the paintwork.

They probably don't know themselves. They will just keep making them until the amount of people still subscribed drops too low. Could be 80, could be 100, could be 200.

) 200 would be impossible! any more that 100 and i'm out
As much as i love the collection, maybe we should all un-subscribe and just order them individually? maybe then the would get the idea???
I think they should make it a real round number, but at least include some of the main cars missing, such as the Rolls & the FRWL Bentley mentioned previously. Lets face it, there are not realy 100 cars in all the films that are that memorable, cars in the back ground or stood in the car parks dont realy count. The CR Mondeo, FRWL Bentley & GF Rolls yes please!
I think I'd like it to end fairly soon. Both because of the space and cost problems. But then again I don't want to have an incomplete collection. I am quite dissapointed in them at not even notifying me of the extension in the first place. All it needed was a quick note or email.
Success! I have restored my Aston Martin DBS (issue 20) back to how it should be. I got one of these http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=T2305 and used it in my electric screwdriver as a drill to drill out the rivets in the roof, then repositioned the glass properly and a couple of tiny dobs of superglue later she's all restored. Here are some before/after shots of the surgery.
Window out after carefully drilling rivets:
How it arrived to me. Only noticed the problem with the back window once removed from diorama:
Respect. I would have just rung up and got a replacement. I have to say both times I have rung up to report a damaged or missing model, they have had it replaced straight away, no questions asked.
Is the Corvorado in issue 22 supposed to have the inner driver's side headlight lens hanging out like it's broken? I can't remember the scene that well, so maybe it was shot out or something? If not then I've got a bit more model repairing to do.
Respect. I would have just rung up and got a replacement.
I've actually done that a lot already because many issues have arrived with cracked diorama cases from rough handling by the postie. I can't repair cracks, so replacement is the only option. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to rip them off though, so if it's no big deal and I can fix it myself, then I do. Also, I don't want to have to store too many extra issues I don't know what to do with. I've already got 2 extra issue 5, 1 x 37, 1 x 38, 1 x 39 & 1 x 47 and no idea what to do with them!

To quote - "Is the Corvorado in issue 22 supposed to have the inner driver's side headlight lens hanging out like it's broken? -
The headlight lens in my model is fine. Looks like youve got some carefull gluing to do. This will not effect the overall collectability, as long as the repair is good & you state the fact if you ever sell the collection on. Ive been lucky up to now, no damage at all & only 2 issues gone a stray, which they replaced with no arguments at all.
Yeppers, I've gotta repair that little headlight. Also have to straighten up and rebend the little bonnet enblem atop the radiator as well. I shall leave that little task to a cooler day when I'm feeling more coordinated though. It's 35°C here right now and I don't have the concentration and steady hand required to tackle it today!
We won't be getting any models from Never Say Never Again will we? I was just watching a bit of it (NSNA is one of my all-time favourite Bond films and I refuse to classify it as an "unofficial" Bond film on account of it having all the essential elements) and it has some of the best cars in it of all. You could actually make a pretty solid argument for having a Bond Car Collection consisting of nothing but cars from NSNA! Barbara Carrera's Renault 5 Turbo being the jewel in the crown, but there's also the blue Ford Cortina TF and Barbara's gold Mercedes SL.
Such a shame they probably won't be allowed to model the cars from NSNA. There is heaps of scope for not only good cars, but excellent diorama scenes as well. NSNA is far more of a real Bond film to me than either of the Daniel Craig films. Especially QOS which was utter crap IMHO. Crap because of the appalling editing and photography which made it almost incomprehensible.
