We seem to be having ago at the actual cars themselves now, but we must remember that this is a "model" collection.
No other model manufacture has ever done this kind of a range before with the diorama boxes, & all in the same scale especially at these prices.
I agree some of the models are a bit "off" & some seem to be fillers, but most of them are unique in them selves due to the markings, figures & dioramas and I think at the end it will be a excellent collection good enough to grace any serious Bond fan's cabinets.
It is a shame that some of the most important prestige's cars are not included such as the Rollers & the Bentley but that has to be down to licence laws & I also agree there could have been a few motorbikes etc included, even the special Q boat from TWINE would have made a good addition but it looks like that is not to be.
I will be seeing the collection to its end & look forward to any more that may be produced in the future.
I wonder what car Bond will be driving in the next film seeing as Aston Martin's 3 film contract is done? (Or Ford as it was)
A TATA Jaguar?
K'in ell! I hope not.
As For which car he should have next, I would say its time for something different, I love Astons but its time for something new.
Although looking at the pics of the new one-77, it is immensely good-looking
I have feelings that Ford may well buy back into the bond series. I think it would be nice if bond just stole a car like the AMC in TMWTGG or alfa in octopussy.

That is one awesome looking Aston, pity its a bit out of my price range.
If Ford don't, then I would think another major car company will, (What's left of them) as it does seem to be big business with product placement in major films.
How about a Hyundai i007? (No, Peugeot tried that)
It doesn't have to be a British make or a car with tons of gadgets on, as you've already said, just something unusual, as its the driving skills that make the film, not the make or anti-grav tyres.
I wonder if these "early releases" from China aren't in fact Q.C. rejects that make their way out of the back door of the factory (?)
It's interesting to see what's on the way but there doesn't seem much point (IMO) in buying the model without the diorama.

Just had a nosey at that link, if thats the one from our collection, its a little bit of a let down, could at least have had a torn roof or a figure with it. Heres hoping ours is different.
Hello Mr. Perth. If you work out what you would like for the car including shipping, then perhaps we can work something out. I know they are selling on eBay for anything from £8.00 to £15.00 including shipping, but as I dont need the box or mag I dont know what to do. There is a site selling just the car for £6.00 inc shipping from China, but Ive had a bad experience with the Chinese postage, but never from down under! If you think its too much hassle, I will understand. Over to you sir.
Not too much hassle at all Spencer, very easy in fact but postage is probably gonna kill it for just one issue. I've sent you a PM anyway with the costs. I can't get down anywhere near the £8 shop price in the UK, not unless I just give it to you. Postage is just ridiculous with Australia Post. Not as ridiculous as with Royal Mail mind you, but it's getting up there in recent times for sure. I could be slightly more competitive if you needed any other issues I could post at the same time in the same box. Then the postage would be amortized. I have extra unopened issues of 5, 37, 38 & 47 if any of those are of interest.

Agreed. If that's what it turns out like, then they've really let go a brilliant opportunity to do a very special model. So much scope for that model to be really unique with masses of damage and three characters to put in it. If they're just gonna model it when Jaws first arrives in it before it is damaged, then that's just a waste.
In reply to Legoman ref the Diablo issue No.39, I think under the circumstances, I will give it a miss thank you, I can get a back order from a shop in town for just £7.99! Never thought of doing the obvious!
The other issues you have I don't really need, as my subscription has been perfect up to now, (No breakages) & I certainly don't want you to give them away as there is bound to be a fellow Ozzie who would like them!
Once again thank you for the offer, but as you said, the postage will kill it.
Is it just me or from the angles of these photo's could there possibly be some damage onto the other side of the vehicle??
Hope springs eternal
You could be right, I tried to enlarge the picture, but unfortunately it didn't help.
If it is, its only a small dent in the door panel, but I suppose that's better than nothing.
There could be a figure with the diorama, we'll just have to wait till some one has a pic of the full set up, or just wait!
To some, we could be seen as children trying to peek into Christmas presents!
That's true when I first subscribed to the collection I tried not to find out what the next model was - so I would get some kinda surprise when the postman dropped them off, (or as more often the case when I had a card through the letterbox saying that nobody was in and then I collected them from the sorting office the next day), but in the end I gave in as I couldn't resist reading this thread and seeing what goodies lie ahead! :v
Now as for the Sherpa model I would just like to say that even without any serious dents of any figures to accompany it - it does look like it is of better quality that some of the models, (like the poo GT40 that I know everyone loves on here). The bars/ladder on the roof adding an extra dimension to the model... makes me wonder if they'll need a bigger case for it, like the Moonbuggy from Diamonds are Forever perhaps? Hard to judge as the one in the photo's not boxed.
I guess those that feel that way can simply choose not to visit this forum anymore or unsubscribe. That is their right. Let's not have a requirement that all posts talking of future issues must be prefaced with SPOILER in them!
Hi long time watcher but first time submitter.
On a close look in the sherpa van it appears that there may indeed be two figures in it. It looks like a face of the passenger and you can see the hand and arm of the driver.
Thoughts?
Great thread by the way.
got issues 56 and 57 today. good news is i can now officially guarantee you that we are getting the Aston DBS from QoS in number 58! :007)
Yay!!!!!!
so what exactly does it say on the last page of 57?

its just the general backpage, it dont anythin special so i cant say wether its damaged or not. the pics were of the damaged car tho, so fingers toes and every other oriphis crossed
Hmm, nice work finding that picture of the Sherpa van. Call me crazy but that base looks like it might be just perfect texture and colour for the base of a diorama of Little Nellie when Q presents it to JB. If it has a higher case top like the moon buggy as well, then that will make for a nice cover to have over the top of a diorama of the T-55 tank. I'm starting to think that mine is going to arrive cracked and damaged.
I'll believe the QOS Aston DBS date when I'm holding it in my hands! The last Wiki list said the Aston DBS would be No. 66 which would put delivery towards the end of July 09.
59-Ford Ka. 61-Alfa Romeo 159. 64- Ford Edge SUV.
It seems the order has changed again as the Sherpa van was listed at 62, but now seems to be 57. So all you can do is look in the inside back page for what is next!
De Bleuchamp.
"I wouldn't go Banco on that!" OHMSS.
I reckon that official German list I mentioned in an earlier post is accurate, going by what we've been seeing from the Chinese ebay sellers:
58 - Aston Martin DBS ~ QoS
59 - Hispano Suiza ~ Moonraker
60 - Ford Ka ~ QoS
61 - Leyland Sherpa van ~ TSWLM
62 - Mercedes S-Class ~ TND
63 - Alfa Romeo 159 ~ QoS
We've already seen 59, 60 & 61 on ebay & that we haven't seen the DBS yet isn't alarming as #54 (the Impala) never made it onto ebay before delivery to subscribers.
