its a nice car for the collection, but figures need to be in there otherwise the placement of the car (in the quarry) makes no sense.

looks great, apart from the fact that in its box all you can see is its back end X-( . but yet again no figures inside, it must be to do with the rights of CR and QoS.
Just noticed as well that the windows are up. how am i going to put people in :s

From experiance, you can remove the complete cars base plate via 2 cross head screws & the interior comes away normaly in one section, so inserting some figures should be a doddle. You may need to get hold of a very small screwdriver to undo the screw holding the model to the base plate as its a security type screw.
    Best of luck.

If mine comes that way round, I will change it!

Most of the models are held together with a couple of philips head screws. A couple are riveted and cannot be taken apart, but I would expect this one can be.

The hardest bit I would have thought is finding the model people that look correct and to the right scale to put in it? Where are you gonna get them?

It's called a tri-wing screw head and you'll need to get one of those security screw bit sets to find a driver that'll fit properly. I advise that, otherwise, like me, you'll ruin a perfectly good set of jewellers screwdrivers undoing them. The sets are not expensive. God only knows why they resorted to using security screws for securing them. Stupid.

I have already cannibalized my damaged Toyota crown and removed the driver and one of the passengers ready for the alfa

    DSC06829.jpg

And I have removed RM from the free Renault 11 taxi, as they send me 2 for some reason, for the DBS. As mine still hasn’t come yet X-( I put it in the CR dbs to see how it looks.

Saw the Diamonds Are Forever Mustang by Minichamps last week, must say this is the one that looks far superior to the one in the Car Collection, esp with white rimmed wheels. £30 mind. It's sold out on the minichamps website however, about the only one to do so.

I think that the Minichamps models are mainly better than the Car Collection ones but for value for money you can't fault this collection - £8 instead of £30+ - and you get the dioramas which I think look better thann the generic Minichamps ones any day of the week.

Also, there are alot of things wrong with the minichamps versions. Their DBS is a right-hand drive and their Z3 has pepper-pot wheels, totally different than the 5-spoke that they should be.

Just a reminder for those in the UK there'll be no post deliveries over the easter holidays so that might delay the next models a little.

    Couldn't agree more! {[]

I think that once this collection is ended, (although it is getting a bit like a never ending story isn't it) onc you have all the models on a shelf they will make for an interesting look at how car design has changed over the years... especially for me as I'm going to display them in the order the films were released.

Found it on minichamps.de I too don't doubt that the Minichamps versions would be vastly more detailed than the UH models we're getting, but considering the price and the dioramas we get them displayed on, I think we're getting the better deal by a long way.

    Are 54 & 55 still these two?
54 Chevy Impala Live and Let Die (Unknown at this time)
55 Dodge Monaco police car A View To a Kill (Unknown at this time)

These are what I'm up to in my subscription but I haven't seen them yet. E-mailed the suppliers and they said Aust Post had returned the package to sender 2 weeks ago (no reason given). They're resending them to me now. I'm just wondering what I'll be getting. I think it's these two.

lol bit odd the final car just being a police car from OP. i woulda thought it would be some kind of iconic motor instead of just another random background vehicle.

With only 23 weeks to the end of the collection ,they might throw in a wee freebie, like in the beginning...hopefully!!! -{ :007)

Glad to see they've got the Dr No hearse on board. I kind of like the DAF one too!

Dr Metz's van you'd think they'd go for! Oh, don't they have the Bentley from FRWL? That would have been one of my faves. Failing that, the one from NSNA. Is there a reason they can't use 1) cars from NSNA 2) Bentley, just as with the Goldfinger Rolls Royce - permission denied.

We’ve know about this list for some time now! Since 18/11/2008, see page 45.

How have you lot not known the list by now?

That would certainly be nice, but I somewhat doubt it. But I was thinking maybe they have listed Alfa GTV6 twice so that maybe one of them is something else may be a surprise Bentley or rolls?

You bite your filthy hippie tongue!! You go to hell. You go to hell and you die! ;)

That E28 Polizei 518 will be the absolute pride of my completed collection. I'll tell you what... I'll do you a favour. If this "random background vehicle" is going to spoil and upset your collection of "iconic motors", I'm more than happy to take it off your hands for you. I'll take as many BMW E28 models as I can get my hands on. :p

Snap! I got mine this morning too! They both look great but I only got to open them just before I dashed out off the house this morning so I'll have to inspect them further when I get home tomorrow!

Well, mine finally came today along with my replacement Toyota in the same box. Which is uncharacteristically sensible on GE Fabbri's part, normally they sent them on there own separately.
The hispano suiza is lovely and make me wonder how good a rolls would be from UH (well I can dream).

Here’s my pic of the dbs:
    DSC07066-1.jpg

I also put a little bond figure in, which makes it look finished.

    DSC07068.jpg

    DSC07075.jpg

    i did however notice this:

    DSC07077.jpg

You can't really see it in this pic but its a browny-gray fingerprint.
If there is one thing that i could criticize about this collection (not the fact that it is never ending or that they haven’t done Rolls or the ford mondao :)) ) is that there quality control is useless. i have had to have 10-15 replaced. The whole point of subscribing is to take the stress and effort of have to go and collect them from the shop, What’s the point of subscribing if I have to call them up all the time???
