Ah, now that is good! Although the guy standing beside the Beetle watching as the helicopter ascends is the definitive one. But you couldn't do a diorama of that.
What next, the horse and sleigh? They could double it up for FYEO!
Seeing that Beetle makes me think that maybe the guys from GE Fabbri really DO read these forums 'cos I know that several people have said that they would prefer the Beetle to be the OHMSS one rather than the one featured very briefly (and at night) in QoS !

Well we will soon Know...
Come on pull you finger out mi6.co.uk X-(
It would be nice to think that we have an imput. It make much more sence to do this beetle as if it was the QoS version then it would be figure-less and so would look like a compleatly random issue to a 007 set, it would just be a beatle in a dark street.
I was beginning to get a wee bit fed up with this collection around the 50th mark, but I have perked up somewhat now that we have got the Mini, & now I see the beetle!.....Bring it on!!!!!. -{ :007)
Just letting you all know that issues #70 & #71 arrived here this morning
That Mini in #71 looks odd with the Corgi decal, it's also shown with it in the magazine spread. And Corgi is featured on the diorama as advertising posters round the ice rink ("stock car circuit") ... pretty sure that's not in OHMSS originally. Minor whinge: the Mini's wheels don't line up properly with the tyre tracks.

The Corgi advertising is clearly visible in the film. And the two Minis (there is also a dark green one in the race) show the Corgi Models stickers in some scenes but do not have them in other scenes. Of course this explains why the Cougar is overtaking the Minis and moments later these same Minis show up in front of the Cougar again. Must be because the Mini drivers stopped to put on the Corgi stickers or remove them while the Cougar was doing a full lap. )
The Corgi typeface however is wrong on the Mini (this is the 1984 logotype and not the 1968-77 which is shown in the background). I wonder why they could use the Corgi logo now but not for the Mercury Cougar where the used Husky instead although Husky was not in the film (Husky was a brand from Corgi Toys used for the smaller cars before they were renamed Corgi Juniors in 1969). The BP and Avon stickers are correct although the sticker "Eis-Rennen" ("ice race") is wrong and should be the driver's name which I cannot read clearly - I read something like "Kronsteen"? (Which would be odd as surely there must be a few names left that have not already been used in an earlier Bond film ...) Perhaps on BluRay this can be read more clearly.
What was the car that ended up on its roof in the stock car race in OHMSS? A car on its roof would make an interesting diorama.
That was a white Ford Escort Mk I with blue stripes, and yes, it would make a funny diorama. But I think that with the Mini and the Beetle there are now enough cars from OHMSS.

True. I thought it may have been a more memorable car/scene from the film than the mini that we are getting (but I do love the mini)

Just spoke to a lovely girl at JBCC..I can't subscribe but I can order them two at a time...the reason she gave for not subscribing was that the collection is going to 80 & that's it as far as they know...-{ :007)
I thought that is going to 85 now you say 80. Which 5 cars do they drop. And yes the Taunus is 72 as far as i know of the Audi 73 i think it was but i´am not shure about it.

The AUDI is #72..they are on Ebay for sale now..Wiki have got it wrong -{ :007)
This is the most recent list of remaining models, dating back to the end of July (page 50 of this thread):
N°69: Aston Martin V8 Convertible ~ The Living Daylights
N°70: Daimler Super 8 ~ Quantum of Solace
N°71: Austin Mini ~ On Her Majesty's Secret Service
N°72: Audi 200 ~ The Living Daylights
N°73: Alfa Romeo GTV6 ~ Octopussy
N°74: Volkswagen Beetle ~ On Her Majesty's Secret Service N°75: Ford Taunus ~ The Spy Who Loved Me
N°76: Ford Ranchero ~ Goldfinger
N°77: Checker Marathon Taxi ~ Live and Let Die
N°78: Ford Edge ~ Quantum of Solace
N°79: Mercedes-Benz 220S ~ On Her Majesty's Secret Service
N°80: Aston Martin V8 (no sled) ~ The Living Daylights
N°81: Beach Buggy ~ For Your Eyes Only
N°82: Range Rover Convertible ~ Octopussy
N°83: Ford Country Squire ~ Goldfinger
N°84: Ford Bronco ~ Quantum of Solace
There was no 85th model on this list, which had lost two models from the previous list (the AMC Matador policecar & the GAZ Volga) and gained one (the GP Beach Buggy).
One change to this list since it was first revealed has been the switch of the Beetle (No.74) from the QoS to the OHMSS version.
I can't believe there's no sign of the Merc 220S from Goldfinger appearing on any of these final production lists - it seems such an obvious partner to number 25 (the final chase sequence Aston Martin) which is possibly the most iconic vehicle display in the whole collection. The Merc even appeared on the diorama background!
Good to see that Jaws's Taunus is on its way - apart from the JBCC aspect, the propect of a cheap-ish, good Ford Taunus/Cortina model has my airbrush itching to go There are lots of possible conversions with this model, and a Vanguards Mk.3 can always donate the RHD bits! I'm pretty sure there were a few of these in The Sweeney, for one
It looks like the Taunus's diorama is going to be a bit "tame", going by the position of the figures (no leaning out of windows) and the lack of cement plastered over the front.
I'm hoping Irma Bunt's Merc from OHMSS has figures of orange jacketed SPECTRE guards.
That would make it look authentic.
I think the real one had skis on the roof as well.
Just have to wait and see.
I agree it looks simular to the toyota diorama but it is stil a nice diorama. And i don´t think that Jaws is biggar by the looks of it. But it´s not so easy to see on this picture i guess we have to wait and see. Maybe it has to do with costs just to make 1 cast for a figure bigger than other one´s.

Bleuville. "Lean over" (DAF)
Looks very similar to the Toyota Crown diorama.
I wonder if the jaws figure will be bigger that the reast of the henchmen?
good effort though. ;-)
