That would seem to make sense, as I suppose it would be difficult (and possibly illegal) to sell us a tank and a boat as part of a car collection. Once again, there are no photos of the diorama for the tank, just like our previous goldeneye model. Was looking forward to them though, especially the q-boat.:(
The way I read that website is that new subscriptions are suspended ... nothing sinister in that, GE Fabbri have apparently also stopped taking new subscriptions in the UK due to the series being so close to its termination.
They now advise people to buy the remaining issues individually using the Back Orders service ... a UK contributor reported this a week or two back, after having tried to subscribe.
Yes, another surprise release is this Land Rover Defender from CR, from the early scene where Le Chiffre meets Obanno in Africa. The Landy looks a little too clean for that diorama, though - that's going to need some mud added!
Hi, first time posting, long time lurker to this thread. I've been collecting this collection from the first one and I look forward to looking in here for glimpse of future models. Thanks to those finding out the info.
With regards to the T55 tank and little Nellie, I've got a couple of ideas. I'm sure like others, I've been wondering what to do with them and how can I get them in cases with a background like the others. I'm thinking of playing with the image below in Photoshop to remove Nellie to create a background and I think I'll order a second Land Rover Defender for a sandy effect base and just replace the name.
Now the tank is going to be a more creative. When I saw the Volga model, I had an idea. I'm thinking of looking out for a long display case the same width as the rest of the models. A case for a 1:43 lorry or something, just for the cover. Now I'm thinking of getting an additional 3x Volga models for the bases and cut the ends off and glue together (keeping hole in middle for a screw) and fill between the gaps with filler and paint to match and blend in. This hopefully would give the correctish base and cut to length to fit underneath the long case. This does sound a bit expensive and a long way round, but could look good when done, hopefully. I just need to work out the background to wrap around it.
Anyone else has any other ideas or am I on the right path? I know nothing about modifying models or the case bases, but these two models have been bugging me for not being the same as the rest of this great collection. There has been some great homemade modifying of models in the thread previous. I just hope the Dragon tank comes with a case.
I'm with you Lester, this site has inspired me to start some custom stuff of my own. I just ordered an Alpha and DBS to create the QOS chase scene. I am also working on an extended OHMSS ice race scene.
Where do you get the photos (like the Little Nellie shot) to make the backdrops?
Good luck with your projects. I will post mine when they are done
Fortunately there are several diorama bases that are a plain road surface that can be adapted for the Little Nellie scene - the MGB, the MP Lafer and the Range Rover Sport (CR) are all on more or less the same diorama.
ak007 also made some interesting diorama backgrounds back then. Any new projects of late, ak007 ?
Really dont have much time at the moment to be doing anything else (Dr No tank wise). Plus i no longer have photoshop.
i would think that the dragon would fit in one of the largerboxes, Moonbuggy style.
As it seems the collection is coming to an end. Does anyone have an suggestions for a new collection? I for one would love to see a mad max collection!
Why should it end? Let them release what they can and pick up what interests you. You don't have to collect the entire series.
Yes I do. I Would have to be an idiot to stop after 3 years of collecting them. If i had known from the start that it would have been this long then i may well have just got the 'best bits'

I would love there to be a collection just like this one but for TV/Film cars in general, then i could pick the best bits!
The Renault Fuego has a neat diorama, which is the attraction for me with this issue, not the model itself which has been covered by other diecast manufacturers (most recently Minichamps). I'll probably buy a couple duplicates of this one from the newsagent when it comes out, just for that diorama. A few of my Minichamps & Vanguards 1/43 models have already found homes on spare JBCC dioramas.
Seeing as this collection is now definitely extended, I'm holding thumbs for the TWINE Lada Niva still making it into the collection

What about a Bond character collection to go with the car collection???..they might be small but they could issue them in blister packs??? with maybe a prop or two!!! -{ :007)
A very nice surprice this car. And i agree with spectreisland let them exstant just buy what ever you want. If you don´t want more than 86 fine if you will also fine.

PS I am Canadian but very proud of my English and Scottish background as well as my Welsh and Irish friends.
We are all here as big time Bond fans lets work together
I think the idea behind this being to re-launch the collection from the start with the Q-boat and Dr. No dragon as the free gifts. Don’t no what this will mean for us over here. I would like to think that our collection would continue. Maybe it is just no longer profitable in France?

If i recall right someone here at AJB made some very nice backrounds for T-55 and Little Nellie.
Unfortunately can't remember his screenname, but i do recall that he posted to this topic last year.
Best Regards,

If you count the Q-Boat and the dragon dank we now have 86 models. Defiantly extended again!
Please let 100 be the end
