Hello everyone:
One quick question, what would be the best way for someone in the US to start this collection, since the mag and the cars can only be sent to UK and EIRE????
just to let you know i have found out that there are 40 cars to collect .....plus the 3 free items so you need plenty of space for the collection.....the collection will probably dissapear from the shops this is to make sure that you purchase them by direct debit.
Just a thought about this model - aren't the rockets fired at the truck blocking the road long before the outriggers are deployed after the Aston's tyre is blown out?
as long as I remember, (I haven't seen the movie for a long time, it is too bad!), the tire blows off first, then he uses the outriggers and rockets over the truck into the forest, where he's loosing the outriggers.

No, Aston Martin DBS was right. First he uses the lasers against the cops, then he uses the rockets, the later he loses the wheel and uses the outrigger, and then he uses the rocket boosters to jump over into the forest.
ah, I thought, that Aston Martin critisized the existence of the outriggers. These are clearly out on the ramp jump.
Now I see, that he also mentioned the rockets.;%
The point I was trying to make in my original post is that to the best of my knowledge all of the models up to now are in very accurate re-creations of the scenes in the films - but for the Aston Martin to have the rocksts ready to fire AND the outriggers out is incorrect as far as the film goes - but don't get me wrong it still looks like a great model!
got a reply for the same woman today, she said their system doesn't allow them to send only the model or only the magazine, so i'll receive the model and magazine of issue 12. she also said i won't be charged for the replacement and i don't need to return the faulty model.
that's nice of them
Would you mind sharing the e-mail address for this lady as I have a few questions to ask about my subscription - nothing bad - it's just that I started the collection with the FYEO Lotus and have had all the models from then on - and yesterday I got my 3rd and final free subscription gift - Little Nellie - but I also got the DAD Jag and the YOLT Toyota.
I'm just wanting to know if they're going to be sending me all the models - or if I'm just going to get from the Lotus onwards and this was an error their end.
You could always PM me the e-mai if you don't want to post it on here.
Oh I need that- is eBay really the only way of getting these individual ones?
I think that if you call the subscription number off the original website they might be able to take a card payment for individual models. I'm not 100% sure but I seem to recall that when I spoke to them once they did say if a wanted any extra models I could ring them with a card and they'd be able to send them to me.
they look quite good, but i think the BMW 750 is a bit "off". to my eyes, it looks too long and thin, and the wheels are too small. the real one looked a bit more "bulky". might just be an illusion due to the pictures, it might look different when i get the actual model in my hands.
and has any UK subscriber been charged for issues 14 and 15 yet? i was charged on June 11th for 12 and 13, and received them exactly 21 days later (2nd July). it's already 18th July and i haven't been charged for the next 2 issues yet.
Received 14 and 15 today. Unfortunately the vantage was damaged and one of the ski's had broken off. Don't like the BMW too much. They have tried to cram all the gadgets in.
That Lotus looks great- I want that very much. The Aston's good, although is a little off around the front end; but the BMW is a bit disappointing: I'm not sure the film version was as long a wheelbase as that one (the rear door seems very long), and annoyingly they've got the paint scheme wrong- the valance under the front bumper and the side skirt should be painted black, not silver.
no, emtiem meant, that the BMW seems to have the long wheelbase and therefore has the elongated rear doors. The car is longer than the normal version and is indicated by the "L" in the type 750 iL (stands for Langer Radstand = long wheelbase)
I have been there when shooting took place (as an extra) and there have been around 8 similar BMW 750 iL, all with long wheelbase (but not all cars had the 5,0 litres engine, most of them had the cheaper 3,5 litres engine, which would have better called them 735)

unlucky about the damage mate, i'm sure they'll send you another one if you ring or email them.
and it's weird how you've received yours and i haven't even been charged yet. even if i'm charged this coming Monday, it will still be 3 weeks before i can expect them to arrive (going by last month's charge-to-delivery period).
unless they are now charging much closer to the date of despatch instead of 3 weeks in advance, which would be nice.
Yeay!!! Am very happy cause today I received my first issue of the James Bond Car Collection. I bought it through ebay from a guy in england and four days later i received my Goldfinger DB5.

Actually they are not too bad to buy off ebay - I've bought quite a few for £1.99, ok the shipping is £2, but it's still good value.
and the first pic of issue 14, from ebay:

if you're not a subscriber then yes, i guess ebay is the only way you can get hold of the ones you want.

the first general help email address is:
jamesbondcars@dbfactory.co.uk
when i sent my first email to that address, i got a generic reply with a link to an FAQ, which was useless for my particular problem.
but at the end of the generic reply email, there was a second email address:
jamesbondcarsspecific@dbfactory.co.uk
so you can either try the first one, or jump straight to the second one which might yield a better response.
have they charged you for the models they shouldn't have sent you?
